A absolute sheer pleasure watching this well filmed event. Vehicles of today look nothing as good. Definitely what a joy it must of been in these era's of time.
Absolutely fantastic... could have carried on watching for hours.
What a varied selection of vehicles. And all lovingly preserved. A joy to the eye.
It was a blessing that the weather held out, which made it even more enjoyable.
Thanks for your hard work in documenting the occasion.
Great video, I was part of the group on the Leyland Atlantean open top bus at 39:02
Amazing collection of commercials
Great breakdown trucks😊😊
Thanks for video😮😮😊
Well maintained machinery that shows the love of its owners
Fantastic to see all these vehicles. The commer QX’s are my favourites, that TS3 engine is still the best.😊
Wonderful I don’t often get to see myself driving , thank you
Taking place apparently to the almost complete indifference of the general public!
Yes, I noticed that not too many people were "rubber necking".
Folks are totally oblivious to their surroundings these days unless something tragic is happening.
I can't say more than WOW .. what a collection of beautiful vehicles so many long gone memories. Great coverage. Many thanks.
Nice video, loads of 60s and 70s vehicles I can relate to. Well filmed too nice n steady and original sound none of that annoying background ‘Musak’ 🎼😃 Quinny
Nice footage of my Green Leyland Octopus Bus tanker
Loved your tanker in the NBC Bristol livery!
@@davidbassett4577 Taa very much David.
😊I can only sympathise with the poor people who cannot afford new vehicles and have to struggle with these beauties.terrific video and fab motors fossil fuels for ever and ever xxx
Can’t beat the sound of an old Commer Knocker, engine!
I must be old.... Sat here thinking; driven that, a mate had one of those, ooh, I had that one!! Brighton Promenade makes the perfect backdrop too, must try to make it for next years run.
The last time I saw this rally was when it departed from its usual London venue at Crystal Palace in 2022. I watched those old timers chugging up the hill from the park many pleasurable times. Likewise the great gathering in the park during the evening before. I'm glad it's continued because there was talk of Brighton putting the kybosh on it for killjoy wokery environmental motives...
As an American I must say I love watching British movies from the late 1950's and 1960's that show a lot of street traffic as I love British autos from that era.
I'm so glad that some people actually care to keep these historical vehicles alive! Brilliant!
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC TO SEE.
A huge thanks for sharing this with us, wow, amazing, love the classics, Kind Regards Elizabeth
Nice to see my dad’s old MAN 30 331, Reg F475 NUR it’s looking in mint condition well done to the lads for restoring it.First wagon I drove after passing my test, it pulled like a train fully loaded and probably still does, best tipper on the road.Spent most of its life in and around Manchester then finished up in Donegal, Ireland.
Having witnessed several of these HCVC runs down at Brighton over the years .. I was lucky enough to actually take part in this years event, albeit just a passenger aboard the Thames Valley & Great Western Omnibus Trust’s wonderful Reading Transport Bristol VRT/LL fleet number 38 (NDP38R) .. appears on your lovely video at 37:38 to 38:03… thanks for sharing it.
It's amazing to see how these machines have been maintained in good status since the reinnacense_reformation era,or the pre_cambrian or simply the cave era
Great event 💕😍💕😍💕
Me encantan estos vídeos esos vehículos tan llamativos que pinturas usarán yo trabajo en pintura automotriz y me maravilló de esos colores tan hermosos y bien pulidos
Not sure on numbers but I recall madeira drive being packed with old commercials when I was a kid. Also it appears that the public aren't allowed near the vehicles now, it's a shame if that's true.
BEAUTIFUL TRUCKS ❤❤❤
I must admit the old buses I have seen here and in other videos are striking in there appearance and styling. From the iconic double deckers to the graceful lines of later style and even the geometrics straight angles of later styles,,, I would enter the names of some of the manufactures but I am not 100% I would get them correct.
Absolutely wonderful vehicles 🙂
I'm curious to know which of these classic vehicles have been used in any historical movies, TV shows, commercials, music videos, etc. I thought I saw a hearse that could have been used in the opening credits of each edition of 1967's THE PRISONER!
Bedford Ca van.Column change I remember them well.
Brilliant array of nostalgia evoked vehicles if only Brighton itself was in half as good condition
A great selection of well maintained vehicles and the owners of most will benefit from no road tax to pay and no MoT being required.
Nice to see the cyclists ignoring the cycle lane closure
Absolutely disgusting should be deport ted ...🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲🚲
Appears that you have to be blind to be a cyclist, or is the 'cycle lane closed' sign a figment of my imagination?
Much as i really enjoyed this vid, and watching some super splendid commercial vehicles, i feel compelled to say, what a total ball ache, for the marshalls, the pedestrian crossing should of been inop, with marshals allowing foot traffic, across when no trucks were going through, NO cyclists, full stop! the roundabout by the burnt out hotel, could of been better managed, and were was any police to ensure safety, and diligence, oh no, they were all in their Police cars eating haribo, or on the A23 catching somone doing 2MPH over the speed limit
They have changed the start venue - it's time to change the end one too IMHO. Since they fenced off the arches it's been very cramped, the Sunday traffic in Brighton is horrendous and Brightonians not to mention the public in general don't seem the slightest bit interested.
Don't panic mr. mainwaring....🏦🚧🚧🚧🚧🚧🚧🚧🚧🚔🚓💩
Had there been vehicles identified and written on screen video would been better۔
👍👍👍
no one as of yet has posted the vid from london?
Due to all the exclusion zones in Central London the HCVC run has started from The Brooklands Museum near Weybridge, Surrey for the past couple of years.
@@davidbassett4577 been there once many years ago
😊👍
old stuff always makes raspberry noise
And many of the Austin J2scame to West Africa
Have they paid ULEZ fees?
