- Zakynthos. Have you ever heard about this wonderful Greek island? Recently I had a chance to travel all around it, visiting the best places, and I’m ready to show this paradise place in Greece. And trust me on that, there are many unique places to see.
During 4 days I explored Zakynthos together with my Greek friend Emma, visiting such unique beaches such as Navagio or Port Limnionas. We got lost in the middle of nowhere and end up tasting wine in the winery. And of course, we just had to take a boat trip to look for cute turtles 🐢

We have visited most of the main Greek islands and this is definitely THE one for us.
This is our 10th year going to Zakynthos where we are now going twice a year while we can still afford it.

Ohmygosh. The people of Greece are remarkably friendly. I got home and put this video on big tv and your filming and editing are just outstanding! The drone shots and the camera views and the entire presentation is just perfect! Thank you for all the dining recommendations and scooter tour across the island. You are so fortunate to have the best friend and guide and driver! The sea turtle and boat rental at the end was a beautiful ending to four glorious day. I love how you documented the plane trip, the hotel, sunrise and sunset, and the road trips using the little car. Your videos look so good and professional and is such a delight to watch! It had lots of funny parts- like the way you played off your friend, and your reaction to walking on the small stones, and your disgust at rubbing the fat on your skin.

Zakinthos… spectacular island with stunning vistas and sumptuous food. People should really stop over there and discovering the sea turtles there are the highlight of a stay. Unforgettable video!

Really good photography - both the drone and whatever you are using for ground shots. Great island. Love the azure colour of the water. What a life - sunshine, relaxation, exploring nature, lots of tavernas with mostly good food and wine, cruising the island on a moped, caving and a bit of diving. Really laid back. You are really exploring into some wonderful places.

I didn't know the name of this island and that's a good sign, because it looks not overcrowded during Juli. I also had the impression that it's still a "Greek" island as the majority of the people there seem to be from Greece. Your drone footage is also very impressive. In many countries destinations that are not the best known will be more rewarding for visitors interested in a real local experience.

This island is just a paradise and it is really true that its architecture, the atmosphere and I think also the food have some similarities with some Italian seaside villages. Great show. You showed us the island and were able to avoid the mob of tourists.
I must say I also prefer this kind of tourism: going around, seeing places, meeting people.
Greece, as well as Italy Spain, Portugal and France are wasted on tourist who pass out on a beach somewhere for a week and only go to lunch or dinner.

It's good in that the awesome places are often very quiet thanks to the tourists glued to the beach. I do however think it's a missed opportunity for them to get out and actually learn/experience something 🙂

I have only ever been to Greece once. I went to Corfu in 1982. When I was there all of the menus in restaurants were identical. I was told that they were printed by the police to ensure that every restaurant served traditional Greek food. The only change that restaurants could make was to cross out the dishes that they did not want to serve. From what you say this regulation seems to have changed. The British ran Corfu for a few years and the big influence that Britain made was not to introduce arches. It was to introduce the game of cricket in Corfu town.
I think it changed. Have never heard about it !

No way! I was in Zakynthos last summer in late July last year. Visting Shipwreck Beach too.
I was staying with friends in Tsilivi. A bit more quiet than the Port of Zakynthos. I visited the highest point on the island and some amazing caves.

@@DariStep Yea, we could have practically met. I mean, I am a History buff and could speak a little Greek. But I don't think I knew the island better than you did when I first arrived.😂
When were you in Zakynthos, early August? That reminds me, on the day that I went to Navagio Beach, the guide that took us there showed us an image of him with Hollywood actor, Samuel L. Jackson, who had been there on his boat a few days prior. A funny coincidence.
Also, there was a funny accident. As I was exploring the island and visiting Gerakas Beach, hardly did I know at the very end there was a nude beach. So, it came to me as a little surprise seeing all these naked people haha.

Lovely video! I felt for a while that I was in Greece :-)! Just for information - Tzitziki (in Greek) are more commonly known as Cicadas in English. There's so much to see in Greece - lots of beautiful places to explore and so much history :-)!
