    It is really hard for me to believe that we still in 2017 have this
    amazing creatures captured! Human greed for money will never die! I also
    blame all the visitors because if people would not visit such parks
    ,animals could live happily in the wild!This is so sad!

      5 out of 6 orcas that Loro Parque holds, were born in captivity and 4 are from SeaWorld. Morgan was rescued in the Netherlands, and she can't be released due to the fact that she has hearing problems. She is not owned by LP, but by Dutch government.

    • @originalchoice1

      No need to. If they were released, they would be exposed to bacteria that their immune system never knew, and also pollution. Loro Parque is one of the most modern animal facilities in the world, It's deepest pool is 40 feet deep and shows aren't essential, shows are one part of the interaction between the trainers, they are well-fed with hundreds of pounds of fish per day. If they were released to "Sea Sanctuaries", they would not be also exposed to pollution and illness and also they would be stuck in the nets and die for drowning. Remeber Keiko/aka Willy? All that activist thing that he was free and "died of natural causes" is a illusion. He was just dumped in the ocean by ignorant people, and travelled seeking for human contact, but he didn't, he couldn't catch fish, and starved to death.

    • @originalchoice1

      I meant, they should not be in captivity at all,if they are healty phisicaly, they suffer mentaly for sure.I understand that they would not find they way in the wild now...People should stop using animals for making money just because animals can't speek.We think we are so much smarter than animals, but infact we are worse in every way possible!

    Lo bueno es que su aleta dorsal no está atrofiada, aunque sería mejor que ya no hubiera orcas en cautiverio(cabe aclarar que las orcas que llevan toda su vida en cautividad no se les puede ir de dejar en libertad pues no sobrevivirían)

    • @FeyhrejTheHuntress
      @FeyhrejTheHuntress Před 3 lety

      Loro Parque tiene dos orcas con aletas collapsadas(Tekoa y Keto).La razón de porque sucede esto no se sabe pero que se deba por "estrés,depresión,tristeza" definitivamente no,ya que no tiene nada que ver que su aleta dorsal (que sirve para estabilizar)se dobló y su estado mental.Esto sucede solamente en machos adultos y no en jovenes o en hembras(hay una orca hembra en Seaworld,llamada Katina,que tiene 2 hijos,Nalani hembra de 13 años,y Makaio un macho de 9 años y tienen de igual doblada que ella,como si fuera genetica)ademas si supuestamente en el mar son felices,a Keiko,orca de "Free Willy" se le tuvo que volver a poner recta,si seguimos esa logica.
      Lo mas probable es que se doble por la diferencia de presión que hay en el oceano y cautiverio,ya que en el oceano hay mas profundidad y por ende mas presión y la mantiene recta o también puede ser porque en cautiverio estan mas expuestas a la superficie.
      El collapso también sucede en orcas salvajes pero rara vez se ve.

    • @atomicnetwork5661
      @atomicnetwork5661 Před 3 lety +1

      No estoy en desacuerdo con lo que dijiste, pero me gustaría añadir que keiko nunca pudo volver a su vida “normal” como orca salvaje, además de que, una vez atrofiada la aleta de una orca es difícil que se vuelva a poner recta. Sobre todo lo demás estoy de acuerdo contigo.

As soon as we turn our back on the captive whales they will get neglected more and more and abused more and more. I hate this more than most people by the way but you have to understand by being away from the ocean they start to lose their hunting instincts.

    There's one other problem which is the orcas that have collapsed dorsal fins but most people misunderstand and judge seaworld for this bit and don't actually know what this means so every orca male in captivity has 1 they also have it because they have no place to swim and this is an issue because male orcas go up to tens of thousands of pounds the only other reason these beautiful animals have this is because they have an u natural diet of dead fish but seaworld claims that this is natural which it is for male orcas in captivity but seaworld have said that it is a common condition while in captivity however in the wild it rarely ever happens so if u did see this in the oceans it would mean that the orca is either unhealthy or injured but hey I'm not the expert but some of u may think well why did u just write all this on a seaworld video well this was to get the truth out and correct people on there misjudgement on how these lovely animals actually get treated thank you and goodbye for now

      That is not a legitimate reason I've research daily on these animals and I've already said why it happens the dorsal fins collapses because of what I've said before and to correct you on what you said yes you are right to say that it happens when the water is warm but this the actual facts and truth so when these whales breach they are exposed to warm air but over time this exposure to warmer temperatures may cause the dorsal thin to flop like you said but the actual theory to this is that they don't have enough room to swim and they are on a u natural diet of dead fish and plus every male orca in captivity has one so that's why

      i was there idk if that's just because i was there and it influenced but i had a tour and the tour guide said there they save birds that are becoming extinct and had even showed it had a wall on it where they showed the ones they could save the orca pools are filled with clean sea water that they pumped out of the sea and the pools are very deep as they showed us didn't allow photos because one of them was deaf and used light to train him when they don't show up they chill on the other side of the pool or their specific trainers pour with a hose water over them which they enjoy they saved one that was splitted (the deaf one i think and it was about to die) they aren't forcing them to do that and only show up if they want and had even cancelled shows because of there are also other things they did but these re the ones i can remember the most
