My 1st grader is enjoying her schooling more spread out!!! Her kindergarten year was more at the same time as my older kids weren’t up at the time she did her school!!! We can’t do Bible in the morning unless it’s just my younger kids!!! She’s doing awesome!!! My younger kids love listening to their read alouds at night and my older kids join us then we leave with my older kids and finish the books with books for older kids!!!

What would you need from Abeka to teach a first grader to read? All my child knows is the uppercase and lowercase letters and the first sounds they all make.

Abeka K4 Phonics was a great program for my daughter as well. It's a solid curriculum and simple to use.

I would use their K5 rather than first grade. :)
