we have 36" of ice for many months of the year here where we live in igloos.
we have 36" of ice too even though you only need half that amount, but you are not pulling that shack out there unless you get a road plowed. Even then a pain. These big shacks are way too much work imo. I bet those slide outs work well in the cold. lol We have 2 feet of snow, and all the lakes you can drive a truck too are the worst lakes to fish on. We fish the remote lakes you have to snowmobile too. Lots of shacks on our remote lakes, but they are pulled by a side by side or snowmobile and much smaller, and easy to move around

Dont Care is wait until 15, especially since you need a 3/4 ton to pull it out. But some are more brave then I am with their ice castle and trucks.

This is super cool don’t get me wrong but I’d love to see the slide outs work when it is -30 and how this thing heats when it’s-30. Obviously money isn’t a problem here but there comes a point when you are just asking for more problems and headaches.
If you can keep the tanks out of the wind and somewhat warm you’d be fine. The only time I have had issues with my propane tanks losing pressure is when the temps get -30F or colder. Bring an electric floor heater and keep the generator going.
all ice castles are well insulated once the heats in it won’t get out without opening the door and windows.
I live in northern Wisconsin and we have ice shanty towns all over the lakes around here!! Everyone I know would just laugh their asses off if you showed up with this!! It probably looks really good at the bottom of the lake!! And our lakes freeze 3 foot thick!!

When I lived in Minnesota we used these but for some reason in Alaska these aren’t popular , people use pop up ice tents. I want one of these up here so I can use it year round as an rv and in winter as ice house. I’ve never even seen one of these in Alaska before actually.

per capita in the nation...aka their residents are broke.
You can use any one of them you like year round. It’s quite common for Minnesotans to use an Ice Castle as an all around use trailer. They can be use as a ice house, a camper, and a trailer for the toy hauler editions.

Considering my favorite lake has spots with only 6 inches of ice, the last week of January, maybe if it gets really cold I could use it for a couple of weeks. But hey! that why you buy the RV edition instead of $25,000 ice shack with no plumbing or A/C.

I would love to own one but can I get one without the 20 + holes in the floor? How would someone drive this massive home around to camp in? If you mentioned the size or price I didnt hear it? Could you please tell the dimensions and starting price? I live in Michigan and this would be the ultimate, absolutely perfect for our lifestyle due to its 4 season protection and 4 slides for a ton of space. We own acreage Up north and this would be perfect for us.

Is it fishing? no, your house parking your house on the lake. Is it hunting? not in the slightest, The over all point is to get OUT of the house. This thing is really cool for a mobile home/ tiny house, and would make a very comfortable base camp.
