This man read so profusely until he became blind. And I remember as a child when the Black Panthers came to the Bronx around 1965 they refused to use the term Negro. And they explained their reasoning exactly like Dr.John Henrik Clarke. And I can tell you the first things the Panthers emphasized was that they were there not to preach hatred of the White man but knowledge of one's self and self awareness. The Panthers encouraged us youngsters to read the works of as many Black literary giants of the day.James Baldwin could run circles around any intellectual at that time. I loved Dr.Clarke& Dr.Ben Yosef. And thats just to name a few.

Dr Clark was always on point and I really adore a lot of his teachings. because ironically, it always hold relevance no matter what year. it is this just shows. you how backwards we are that this man made this, did this interview in 1973. 48 years ago and yet nothing has changed. That just go to show you the world that we live in. 🤔🖤💚💛🌟🖤🌟💚🌟💜🤧🐩😭

This video made me cry. I love learning the richness of our history . I cried because he was so verse in our history, spoke out of love and gave me greater insight on somethings I have been teaching my son.. Dr. Clarke is like an old relative telling you about something that happened in your childhood that you had a clue àbout but you do not fully understand.

Black people throughout this world need to come together no matter where you are from! To say I am Jamaican, African American, or any other black person in this world...
You will always be A black person, and that's what black people must focus on and begin to truly care about each other all over the world. This is the only way black people will ever come up, by standing by each other!!!! There's no other way family!!!!
