15.1.2017: RAIL WORKSHOP INTERLOK AT PILA: STEAM, RIVETS, HAMMER

The Polish rail workshop INTERLOK at Pila was founded in 1989 as a joint venture of Polish State Railways PKP and a German rail enthusiast. Since then, INTERLOK specialists repair steam locomotives, steam rollers, boilers, but also manufacture new steam boilers of all sizes according to recent European Union's directives, as well as in "old fashioned", riveted, way. In both cases main components are forged to ensure best durability.
Die polnische Eisenbahn-Werkstatt INTERLOK in Pila (Schneidemühl) wurde 1989 gegründet als joint venture zwischen den Polnischen Staatsbahnen PKP und einem deutschen Bahnenthusiasten. Seither repariert die Werkstatt Dampflokomotiven, Lokomobile und andere historische Fahrzeuge. Spezialität sind Reparatur und Neubau von Dampfkessel entsprechend aktueller EU-Direktive geschweißt oder "altmodisch" in genieteter Form, immer aber geschmiedet und gekümpelt, um beste Langlebigkeit zu erreichen.
