They are not skint at all. They find money when they want it for something they want. They should be chasing all those who are avoiding and evading tax, holding their money in off shore accounts and shell companies. Get all those monies returned to the UK and the country will be a multi billionaire. Xxxxx

I've been on DLA, then PIP, and have had to challenge the decision a number of times.
Stubbled across your chary accident, and have found it very helpful.
One disturbing thing hit me, is that, a department set up supposedly to help those that need it, actively does the exact opposite.
This can't be right, yes fraudulent claims need to be rooted out, but it would seem that you need to have a degree to navigate all the pitfalls and know the right language to use
Lifes bloody hard when you are struggling. without the people supposedly who should be helping us shafting us.
Nowonder some off us feel like ending it all

Ah..... So this explains why I got a review form and an invitation to get my state pension 3 weeks apart.
To cut a long story short I got breast cancer, got the all clear and then my immune system collapsed. I now have multiple illness and conditions to the point I cant remember all of them. Add to that a diagnosis if Complex PTSD about 5 years later and I am a freaking mess. I have to have the form with them by the 8/08/24 and I am so anxious I can't think. I'm living on valium to stop full blown panic attacks but this feels so unfair. I worked for most of my adult life, good job, yada, yada and now I'm treated like a criminal. This form has to be done and I'm going to have to rise to the occasion but this time might literally finish me off. Charlie, thank you for being a voice of reason for me and others at our most vulnerable time. This whole process is awful. So having a space where I can exist with like-minded others is a God send.

Hi Charlie - hope you get read this - after a four month process, yesterday I received the good news that I'd been successful! An incredibly scarring and appalling process, I never would have believed it. I followed your advice, was clear and honest, didn't allow room for them to do my legs (haha that'd already happened), got help from knowledgable friends.
Had a phone assessment. Have to say the people I spoke to were all courteous and appeared empathetic, as much as they could be.
Recorded it all with a witness present, and told them so.
Charlie - I was inspired and informed by your videos, they made me realise and helped me accept my new reality, and now I'll be in a position to make the best of my altered life.
I want you to know how valuable your input was, how you've literally helped me shift from darkness toward light.
Well done, and thank you again x

    Dear Charlie,
I have to say a big THANK YOU for being YOU 😊.
I’ve felt so much more human & less isolated through watching your videos.
During the bleakest of moments due to my increasing chronic health changes & the vilification of the political targeting of the most vulnerable.
The support of your videos & your honesty really helped me to have the confidence to apply for PIP.
I finally got a confirmation letter through & it has significant changed the reality of my life, for the better. 🙏
I can actually afford equipment & things to help me function better.
Thank you so, so much 🤗

My sister who is 18 months away from pension age had her review due a couple of weeks ago. She was very nervous waiting for the phone call and 1 hour after the start time she got a phone call cancelling it as the person was off sick. It eventually took place this week. I came across your videos and told her to watch them beforehand. She did and as a result she felt much more focused and organised and confident in herself and able to get through the 1 hour and 45 minute phone call without getting herself overwhelmed or overstressed. The video about how to deal with questions on how she got about, taxi or lifts and whether accompanied or not was particularly useful as he did, as you suggest in your video, keep asking for more and more detailed information. She remembered your advice and answered accordingly. The chap going through the process was very nice and appeared helpful. Now we just have to wait 8 weeks for the result. 🤞🤞🤞it will be a positive result. If not we just have to watch your videos again and go through the next step of mandatory reconsideration. I know she would not have felt like going through with it before she had seen any of your videos. Thank you so much for everything you do.

At my previous review I lost valuable points as I was told my evidence was too old but I was too ill and stressed to appeal. This time I gathered proper evidence even paying for a doctors assessment, however that was 14 months ago and I still haven’t had a decision just an email 3 weeks ago saying they would look into it soon.
I’m 63 and don’t retire for 5 years but am well aware that they would love to get rid my claim before then. It is a nightmare I have been disabled for 20 years and have had to go to appeal 3 x for Pip and twice for ESA. My condition is one they love to refute M.E, Fibromyalgia and chronic anxiety. On one occasion a home assessment, I was told that I was seen walking 200 yards with no problem, at appeal I asked when did they see me walking ? as I was sitting at home and was told by the judge oh well I think the assessor meant they thought you could walk easily. I shall watch your videos carefully thank you for this channel.

    Hi Charlie
Until I seen your video today it had never occurred to me that I became a victim of the DWP and the pension unwritten rules.
Back in 2017 two months before my retirement date had arrived I had my mobility part of PIP taken away. I could never understand why but my review was part of the DLA to PIP transition but becoming an OAP and the change to PIP was ever so convenient for the DWP I now realise.
Took the DWP to tribunal, they never turned up because our Labour and Tory governments agents like the government themselves are nothing less than cowards that haven’t got the guts to face us face to face and goes without saying the tribunal judge over ruled the DWP and their so say “professional advisors” and full PIP was restored 5 months after my retirement.

Rishi Sunak has this morning unveiled major changes to the welfare system, saying reform was a 'moral mission' to 'give everyone who can the best possible chance of returning to work'. A PIP consultation is set to be published, looking at eligibility, the assessment process and support to ensure the system targets personal needs and closely links to a person's condition.

    • @carolineowen7846
      @carolineowen7846 Před 3 měsíci

The system can 'target' and bring in what ever laws, however employers esp private businesses will do what they like, the hr dragons will do every dirty trick to weasel out of doing anything 'helpful' and do everything they can to get rid of anyone who is likely to have reoccuring sickness, time off for appointments, or need reasonabke adjustments. Companys bank on ppl.not having the funds (or the physical and mental energy) to tske them to court, so they get away with it, time after time.
Eg, absence triggers, then performanace reviews ... even just endless meetings nit picking over stuff, it wears you down. Employers have you over a barrel, disabled, abled or (like everyone on this channel) just unfortunate enough to have a chronic illness. Employers want employees who rock up every day, never get ill or injured, never get sick & never need time off. Look how they are when you ask for say holiday, or time off for a docs appt. Gives you a clue ...
The gov can bring in whatbot likes, employers will do what they want reguardless of any laws.
I fear there is a bigger plan afoot, and it is probably linked to dnr for the vulnerable who can't be conscripted / do other work.

I agree that the state pension is nowhere near enough. I have worked for 50 years paying my taxes, national insurance etc. And the government reward me with a pension that equates to half the minimum wage! If a company tried to pay me so little they would be prosecuted!
I noticed that another person on here had their telephone interview cancelled at very short notice due to the assessor going off sick. The exact same thing happened to me so is this a tactic they are using to scare people from going ahead with their claim?

Then I kept telling myself I was being silly. It’s been over 3 months and no decision yet. I’ve also had to do a new ESA50 form. I applied to go on support group rather than work related. I applied back in November. Despite an apology from their legal department I’ve still heard nothing. I’m scared to chase either of them in case it’s bad news. At least while I’m waiting I’m still getting paid under my current claims.

I am getting pension money in three months time which is twice as much as PIP l didn't know where to go through with it all it is so upsetting when you turn down like l was seven months ago now just to stop my money like PIP did

I retire in four days. Review started last September filled in and sent off. Been contacted saying it will be June 2025 before they check my review, I will be paid up till then If they made the decision before I retired I may have qualified for the extra money you get for having enhanced living. But it will save the gov big time if they do this with everyone. Do you know if I do qualify for higher payments and I am much much worse will back pay be given?

Does payment of ESA potentially carry on after retirement age too? My friend was never transferred from ESA to PIP - is that a deliberate ploy?

ESA has nothing to do with pip you can get both at the same time. It’s actually ESSA

Hi there , coming to retirement age next year (aug ) I already have pip thank goodness and have been given it for 10 yrs . I thought it’s only if you don’t apply for it before pension age that you don’t get it at all , but if you already have it , you carry on until something changes . Will they now contact me next year and try to take it away ?

I filled in my form as I spend most of my life in bed with chronic illnesses and disabilities. Then I watched the videos and heard horror stories and could not face going through it so I didn’t send the form back. They’ve now contacted me saying I have as assessment soon. Is my claim still valid? Or will they interview me and then say oh you didn’t return the form yet so get lost. I don’t want to do the interview just to be rejected for not sending the form back yet. Please help me clarify 🙏

I don't know if anyone will read this but if anyone can advise I would appreciate it. I don't have a clue how it all works but basically I had polymyalgia for 4 years and I have severe social anxiety, OCD and CPTSD which prevents me from leaving the house. The polymyalgia has now gone so after my last assessment last month they have reduced my money by £600 a month. Is that right do you think?

I filled in my renewal form just over a year ago, may 2023. Two weeks ago i received a text message from DWP to say they had now come to a decision, which i will receive on Wednesday 5th june 2024. Is it normal to get a decision, without even speaking to a claiment, they haven't rang me, sent for a medical, (last time i had to have 3), no home visit, nothing. Do they normally make their decision based on the form that i have filled in, I really dont have a good feeling about this, not slept, eaten or anything since the text message 😢, I will be 56 September 2024
