    • @CHEATERSANDSIMPS
      @CHEATERSANDSIMPS Před 5 měsíci +3

      @@gentlemanedotv Banjo is of Yoruba descent, and the historical perception of Biafra as excessively tribal has been manipulated by the victorious side, leading to a distortion of history that promotes tribalism and marginalization. It's worth noting that Banjo even attempted to stage a coup against President Odumegwu Ojukwu of Biafra, providing significant insight into the complexities of that period.

    • @Obalufon
      @Obalufon Před 5 měsíci +6

      @@CHEATERSANDSIMPS The only advancement made by Biafra, was by Banjo. So, stop the nonsense about planning coup. Ojukwu was jealous of Banjo, Nzeogwu, Ifeajuna and co. Period! Banjo couldn’t take the war deep into his own people, so he stopped to negotiate. Militarily, Banjo and his Biafra troops don’t have the firepower of Federal soldiers anyway

    This interviewer must bring someone else who was in the University of Nigeria, Nsukka to retute this man's version of the Nollywood version. I was in Class One in 1967 when the war started. I can recollect the chants starting in our schools to join the war, after Aburi accord failed, & Gowon declared the war. People chanted to carry guns in order to stop the Nigerian Army from invading our country. The Biafran War is like the elephant presented to blind people for their description of what they felt that the elephant was like.

My father kept hearing as he ran the man shouting no one is here .no one is here except for me and my wife and kids. My dad escaped ooo with a big scar. I think he feel cos he has a big scar . Anyways after the war He went back. The man's house was raised down...fire ashes etc. You can the tears and haunting look in my father's eyes. I feel.so sad and sorry for him that he experienced such a thing...
      But he lived in the university for all.I know. Im.educated and know universities should normally be peaceful and schools or places of learning left undisturbed but look what happened. I believe this guy ooo.

      You do really need to go and sit down. Where was the Nigerian capital and the HQ of the Northern junta headed by Yakubu Gowon hat Biafra was fighting to unseat? Ibadan was the capital of Yorubaland while Lagos was the Nigerian capital. Strange you guys have forgotten about your erstwhile capital while you go on about Lagos this Lagos that all the time. Stale tribalist trope.

    This man is lying to his teeth. Ojukwu was never in the war front, he was in his office giving instructions. Nzeogwu, Ifeajuna, Banjo etc were at war front, not Ojukwu. When the war got closer to his place, he ran out of the country.
