5 Reasons Why Swedish People Are So Attractive (Number 3 Is My Favorite)

- When I came to Sweden for the first time I was really blown away by how good looking the people were in this country. Not just in the big city of Stockholm, but even out in the countryside and smaller towns! Now that I've lived in Sweden for over two years and adjusted to the society here, I don't notice it much anymore. But whenever I have friends from out of the country come and visit me, they always comment on how beautiful the people are.
Why is this? Well in this video I'll give you my top five reasons why this seems to be the case.

The very hypocritical and anti-Swedish, and fraudulent claim that Swedes look good because they ""stole"" other people's women has long since been debunked with...
1) DNA markers showing that ethnic Swedes and most other Scandinavians are amongst the most homogenous people on the planet.
2) the fact that many MANY other peoples around the world were practicing the taking of other peoples' women as war booty for far, FAR longer and in FAR greater numbers than the Scandinavians ever did during the meager two-and-a-half century Viking age compared to say, the OTTOMANS and ISRAELITES and NORTH AFRICANS and AMERINDIANS practising it for MANY THOUSANDS OF YEARS.
Why don't all you envy-driven, incompetent, fake historians, go and do some research on those above-mentioned peoples and come back and tell us all about how you envy them as well?
Swedes and Scandinavians are some of the last people on Earth to maintain their DNA from directly after the time of Noah, when his son Japheth's descendents first moved to this part of the then-empty world over four thousand years ago.
A warning to all you fake-historian fraudsters:

I am a highly sensitive living in France, and I recently became friends with a Swedish girl and her husband. I really find them beautiful, physically they are attractive but it's really their kindness that for me made them stand out. To see a pretty girl, who is smart AND that just is humble and kind, that's really beautiful. If feel Swedish people are more sensitive to maybe other countries?
Do you feel like they stand out above the crowd, even if they've gotta shout out loud though?

I’m swedish and I have to say that when it comes to standing out, we often follow something we call “Jantelagen”, it’s the law of Jante. Jantelagen is basically an unwritten rule that says that you shouldn’t stand out so much and that you shouldn’t think you are that special. That’s why we usually are experienced as more calm, we don’t want to stand out. Jantelagen may sound a bit harsh to some people when we explain it, but for us this is no biggie. If you are rich l, you make sure not to talk about it. If you are spending money in a way that makes your financial status obvious it’s considered inappropriate. Simply because standing out isn’t the way we do it.
Great characteristic! Inspiring! Jantelagen!

reading comments like these makes me so happy and proud in a way! as I Swede I feel honored that so many people think like this of us🥺
we don’t really think like this because it’s so common of how we look and dress. here in Sweden we have like an “unwritten rule/law” called “jantelagen” (the law of jante). and it basically means that we don’t stand out from each other or brag of what we have/don’t have! which I think is nice🥰
as a Swede I grew up with blonde hair and blue eyes, now however my natural color is golden brown/blonde. so all of us “typical Swedes” aren’t entirely blonde. I love Sweden and I’m proud being a part of this country🥰❤️

You are beautiful, girl! ❤️
Thank you?
you are more beautiful because
black hair is more attractive
The thing is, you don't really stand out if you're attractive in Sweden. Unless you're tall, dark and handsome, which is both unique and attractive. Brown eyes and dark hair...
@Ragnar Ragnarök I'm more for Greek guys.
@The Method ur just cringe my guy
@The Method I'm not. I'm myself 6,5 with all brown hair and brown eyes. The fact that you would brag about it is cringe.
My husband used to live in Sweden, he is 6 foot 2 with dark hair and brown eyes. He did get a lot of positive comments from Swedish women. Here in New Zealand, dark hair and eyes are more common. So he doesn't stand out so much.😁
Im' 6'5" with dark hair and blue eyes. Whether I'm handsome or not, I'll leave for others to decide. Then, the average height in Sweden is among the highest in the world, and otherwise the combinations of hair and eye color vary quite a while. I guess being tall and darkish isn't extremely uncommon, here. (I could think of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, although his parents are immigrants from former Yugoslavia...)
As a swedish girl I just can't feel flattered about the whole "Swedes are so beautiful" cause the stereotype of tall people with blond hair and blue eyes doesn't fit with reality. Majority of the blonde's bleach their hair cause we're only blonde as kids, then our hair turns into a rat/ash like color. As for our eyes, it's not very common with those ocean-blue or forest-green ones, it's mostly a mix of blue, green and grey. Just wanted to voice this out.
Best regards,
A short Swedish girl with (naturally) ash blonde hair and a crazy eye-color mix of blue, green and grey.
Pao I believe the crazy eye-color mix is a better asset ;)
You are so bitter
Nah most swedes have blonde hair.
It's just that what swedes call dark, the rest of Europe would call blonde
But it's not the color. Irish and British girls are also blonde and blue eyed, yet nobody thinks of them as being attractive.
it's the facial features of swedes that makes you attractive
@Cyborg
I haven't seen any blonde ukranians actually
When I was in maybe 2nd or 3rd grade I remember everyone wanted to have brown or hazel eyes because blue eyes were seen as ’dull’ ’common’ and ’boring’.

Lol! Swedish girl here too! If I ever wore coloured lenses, they would be brown! :P Brown is so sexy and mysterious.
WHAT? I have hazel eyes and I hate it, people be like "O Mi gAsH y0uR €y£s aR€ s0 weIrD". I wish I had like blue, pure brown eyes or something.
Tonectic You should be happy, in Sweden you’d be seen as beautiful
@@tonectic8234 Yeah hazel eyes in Sweden are a real treat
Visiting Stockholm I discovered what a beautiful and walkable city it is. People's style was also impressive. I would call it minimalist but not to the extreme. I would describe it as basic, the vast majority (in a cold/cool climate) wore solid colors in simple apparel but so lovely and chic. It didn't appear that anyone was attempting to stand out or seek attention, however, dress seemed to be thoughtfully put together and very practical.
The style is the result of a combination of Lutheranism and socialism which both put suppress the idea of individualist expression.

Here's my theory about "the world" : american people are the teenager, swedish people are the middle-aged man and french people (cause I am) are the cranky grandfather

Americans are the self centric child
James Gertz ?
Everyone always says “uh, well YOU’RE American which means you don’t know anything about MY country” when foreigners probably don’t have a damn clue about how things work here in the US. I’m sick and tired to death of all foreigners thinking they know everything about us and then bullying us over that (false) stuff.
@James Gertz Not really. the Culture of Rome pretty much died at the dark ages whit most traditions in Europe returning to a much more pre Roman era and Christianity just doing it's best to assimilate those traditions into a more unified system. American culture is a hot pot of mainly French, British and Spanish that has then been spiced with titbits of all the other smaller nations in Europe. Add then onto that culture of the Natives mixed that up with the fact that the first waves of colonizers where pretty much religious puritans and extremists that wanted to escape Europe with it's libertarian changes in culture. That is the basis of it pretty much which then of course developed over time into it's own "American" culture which reminds a bit of a warrior culture with very individualistic but still puritan views.

Asha Jairath hahahah
They are not. Maybe 80% are out of shape or overweight. It is really bad. I like to make it a game when I am out, " how many fit attractive people can I see" sometimes I see none.
Daniel Jokela I saw statistics on this just the other day. Around 50% of both males and females in Sweden are overweight
Daniel Jokela Actually No. They are not overweight. About 12% are, and that's facts.
i was born in colombia, raised in Madrid, living in the UK bu.. t im loving Swidish men :) they look SO handsome, well-groomed, well-spoken (in English lol) I am marrying one :))))
Awh how sweet of you! /hugs from Sweden 🇸🇪
So I am Norwegian and I agree Scandinavians are often quite attractive. I agree with you that a lot of it is likely down to lifestyle. Compared to the rest of Europe I think Norwegian girls work out a lot more. Training gear is basically the uniform here. I remember a French guy who had just moved to Norway remarking on what surprised him the most. I thought he was going to say snow, mountains or something like that, but no he remarked on how many people who went around exercising.
But I am also kind of used to the look, so the girls that stand out most for me I think are often not blonde Scandinavians. I think I was perhaps more impressed by the girls when I visited Italy. It is exotic with the really dark hair and tan skin color. And perhaps equally beautiful I think are Moroccan girls. I remember from living in the Netherlands that the Moroccan-Dutch girls working in the stores where just stunning. Not sure why they never get mentioned more. Of course they are muslim so you can typically not date them (they are not allowed to date you). Maybe that is the issue.
But yeah I have noticed foreigners visiting Norway being blown away. I remember and American and Australian guy I met once who got so blown away by the girls that they arranged to delay their flight home several days. LOL.
Some of it is in the eye of the beholder I guess. But I think lifestyle and wealth does affect how people look. If you got access to better food exercise, clean environment etc it will affect your looks more positive. I find e.g. that in the UK you can find some stunning people, but many aren't and I think a lot of that is down to lifestyle. Food habits seem quite bad to me in the UK and they are not as outdoorsy or focused on exercise as Scandinavians. But it varies where you are in the UK. I think Scotland must be among the worst, but they eat deep fried Mars bars there.
I don't think Norwegians eat that great. British people probably eat more vegetables than us. But we eat less potato chips, chocolate bars etc, and we eat a lot more whole grain breads and less deep fried food.
So you just compared Maroccans with italian Girls....
Sorry theres no comparison
One is White european and the other brownish with curly hair and the burka
By the way norwegian Girls are cute but I hate the fake tan and excessive make up some Girls have over there
Rest of Europe is quite healthy compared to USA too. I think you are being unfair here. The only country I can think of in Europe which has a bigger obesity problem is England.

What about living where there is less sun exposure, clean water and clean air? 🤔
Clean water and clean air does SO much as both can carry a lot of polutants, so you've probably got a good point in that. The water is one of the things I miss the most after I left home. That and the closeness to nature. Nature helps a lot with many different things, even those we don't see.

Regarding your #3: In the late 90s one of my very skinny Swedish male friends spent 3 months in America. Being unable to put weight on his whole life he easily gained 10 kilos in those few weeks (all of it in bodyfat). We definitely think this was due to different types of refined sugars.
Hello nice to meet you how are you doing today how is the weather over there you really look so nice on your profile how is your family hope they are fine?🌹🌹🌹
Fat is easy to gain, useless and difficult to lose. Get him back home & on healthy food. 💕
I'm Swedish and I'm mostly calm and chill, unless I'm under pressure, then I break completely :'D But that has to do a lot with being a HSP and having low self esteem... I lived in Japan for 15 months and there I met my boyfriend who is French so I'm learning a lot about different cultures and I do agree that Swedes are kinda calm and prefer the more neutral approach to life/style.

Random fact, in argentina our famous football team boca is represented by blue and yellow color because they just saw a Swedish flag on a boat back in the day.
Living in Denmark, I laughed when he said Swedes are not crazy :D Just watch some videos about Swedish political correctness
If youre into politics to a degree where you know about Swedish political correctness, you should also be at a level where you know that its a very loud, vocal minority.
About 11% approve of that bs, unfortunately half of those 11% are in congress.
It does not in any way, shape or form, represent the average swede.
There are plenty of videos of insane radical leftist feminists from Denmark floating around out there.
But Ive been to Denmark, I know thats not the average person, Its just "the squeaky wheel getting the grease".
@@F1rstWorldNomaD Exactly on the Brazil.
I 100% believe the Viking theory. I'm a huge Biology nerd and genes are powerful things :P If the pool is constantly filled with genes that are associated with beauty, then of course that will influence the lineage.
Also the thing you said about not having a type - I am the same way and I used to believe that a lot of people are like that until recently I've become so aware how common it is to have a type .. and for me it's so bizarre because I think many different features can be beautiful on a person.
Hallo
I was actually really surprised about the last one! ^^ Maybe I'm missunderstanding your point, but usually foreigners don't see it as a positive thing.
Yup! Can’t remember the reason I wrote that comment though. I probably thought of how swedes are sometimes reserved.
As a foreign exchange students in Iowa many years ago, I was shocked the way the students were dressed and I felt overdressed all the time as a Swede. I had to buy sweatshirts and t-shirts to blend in. I will use your videos in my English class at a Swedish high school. By the way....I prefer brown eyes.
I prefer blue eyes. Blue eyes, red lips,...
As Finnish girl, I have to agree with the video, i've been to Sweden couple of times and it felt like Swedish girls even put make up to a grocery store and it was so weird
Tack för komplimangen
My grandfather was about 6'5". He had the most beautiful crystal blue eyes and blond hair. His parents were from Sweden. Mork was his last name. I'm almost 5'11". I got the dark hair and dark hazel eyes from my Romanian side. My mom's side of the family always made sure they looked presentable. My grandfather, mother, aunt and uncle were always very calm and grounded. I've been told I am also. I guess genetics play a lot into it. I don't like to stand out.
Nice descriptions! @jennifersheldon It's a bit funny that your grandfather's surname was Mork. It must have been Mörk, which actually means dark or darkskinned. It is probably a name he got during his compulsary time as a soldier, or his paternal grandfather. There were too many Anderssons and Johanssons for example, as boys and girls where named after their father's first names "the son of Anders"/ Anders's son or Andersdotter - Anders's daughter. So the employees at the military service who wrote the new soldiers in to the system where they have to stay for at least a year, often got new names - often rapidly picked by the clerk. The new names, could be adjectives like "Snygg" - proper. Or "Lustig" - funny, "Modig" - brave, "Trygg" - safe, or "Mörk" - dark. The time I'm referring to is late 1800s and early 1900s. In those days it was much more uncommon to be darkhaired or darkskinned.
I am from Sweden and your opinions about our country makes me so happy❤️ and yes in Sweden there are soo many peaople in Sweden with blue eyes

Anton Antonson Incel?
@Anton Antonson Sir, please calm down. I'm trolling you because you are making a fool of yourself on the Internet. I hope that you realise early on that you are acting like a child, and distance yourself from your hatred and fear towards Africans.
@A Antonson What the fuck is that supposed to mean?! Why are you calling out Africans ? This guy making this video is american and your blaming africans?? racist troll
@Jerry Silk He may be correct in a sens of immigrants. But his ideals are fucking ignorant like "take your home, wife." HOw the hell are immigrants going to take YOUR wife?? Sounds more like he has a fear of brown skinned people breeding and creating a new life and changing what typical swedish people will look like in the upcoming generations, which is NOT pasty white. There are also lots of Americans coming to sweden, hence this video is an american.Yes they give benefits to immigrants but his word choices was just down right poor and arrogant. THe U.s. gets lots of refugees too and the country is becoming more diverse, thats not a bad thing! Some come legally you know.
Going to Visit Sweden for a vacation, love from the Philippines!
Thanks so much- great analysis. My mother is Swedish, so I must agree with you lol.
Some thoughts from a Swede:
I think most people everywhere like exotic things, including people. I am much like you, attracted to healthy people over specific types, but there are certain types of hair I don't like as much. As for Swedes being more healthy looking than others, I for instance personally find that in general many East Asians are, depending on country, just as if not more healthy looking compared to Swedes (again, generally speaking).
Regarding blond hair being associated with youth: A lot of people, including myself, were blond as kids but turned brown as a teenager and adult.
Also, one reason I think we are more conscious of our health is that we are more genetically inclined to stock up on fat (kind of like bears before winter LOL). I've seen Americans legit eat 3-4k calories a day, and still not be more than slightly overweight at 180-190 pounds, with only some basic exercise (e.g. going to the gym once a week). I don't know any Swede eating that much who is neither obese nor a heavy weight body builder.
As for clothes, I buy a lot of mine online at Zalando and H&M because I get to see how the clothes look on somebody with similar body features (e.g. I have short legs, long torso, just like you, and I'm even shorter at ~170 cm), and I get to avoid spending time going to a store. I'd rather wait a few days to try a piece of clothing on than spend an hour going to and from a store.
I don't know about other Swedes, but I draw a lot of inspiration from characters in movies and TV shows, most of which are played by American, British and Canadian actors. I take bits and pieces of inspirations here and there from different characters when I think it fits me.
Interestingly, I think a lot of people who haven't been to America will think Americans generally look like the people they see on TV, when in fact those are the top 0.1% in terms of appearance. Having been to America a few times, and having been in a long distance relationship with an American woman for two years, I know that most Americans don't look like TV and movie stars.
I have heard, however, that there are certain locations where people care more about their appearance such as in LA (due to its proximity to Hollywood), and funnily enough a lot of people from the outside majority think they are superficial about their appearance for it. I wonder if they know that such communities are only doing what others around the world are already doing?
Edit: Also about Swedes not having as much individual expression, look into Jantelagen (the law of Jante). It's depressing, and not an actual law, but from an outsiders perspective you will probably find that a lot of Swedes at least to a small extent adhere to the Jantelag.
There is something called a "classic good look".
This is a look that is essentially timeless and works in pretty much any setting.
It's both pragmatic and stylish which is why it's popular, not necessarily to blend in but because it's a cost and energy efficient way to look good at all times and in any situation.
Going to work? Great, you look professional.
You're having a coffee with a friend?
Great, you look stylish.
Going to the club?
Great, you look sharp.
Ofc you can tweek it for each situation, maybe a tie for work, fix your hair and a nicer shirt for the club but overall the "casual suit" look is a very good starting point for almost any situation.
F1rst World NomaD as someone who likes to keep things simple, I really like this style 👌🏼

Yes me too! Currently trying very hard to find a job, I really hope to move to Göteborg soon. It’s hard to describe but I never felt so at home in a country that’s not my native country, people are just so nice.

Oof I’m a Swede who’s half Asian. I’m chubby with shorter legs, dark brown eyes and brown hair (basically the opposite of everything you described haha). I swear I got the “bad” genes from both sides. Let’s just say I’ve had a lot of “kroppskomplex” over the years here in Sweden.
But youre asian.
According to studies Asians love Scandinavians and Scandinavians love Asians.
You should be fine xD
Interesting. I'm Eurasian myself, half Norwegian and half Asian. I'm 5 ft 10 and bright eyes.
hey man :-) i.m 54 years old and love ur channel :-) my ant and relitives are leaving in US ! love u channel! just keep it up :-)
Thank you for your video. As a Swede living abroad in Vienna, I start to see the point about Swede´s and what people find amazing. When you live with it, you don´t see it but abroad it´s different. As a child we where never ever to go out in shorts unless we where going to the beach. Always make the best out of yourself, even when going to buy milk. OK, I´m 53 years but I always take a very close look in the mirror before I go out in public, no mismatch in clothing. I feel flattered when people are giving compliments about my posture and the way I dress, not that I´m looking for it but it´s comfortable, and first of all comfortable for me. Swedes dress for them selves in first hand. It should be good looking but also comfortable to look at....on top of it a pair of blue eyes helps, especially abroad.
Growing up I always see Marcus Schenkenberg on those posters up the wall or magazines. My friends and I concluded that it must be the water and the air that makes all Swedish models so appealing.
Marcus Schenkenberg has Dutch parents. Not genetically a swede.
Thank you man
You do get a bit spoiled with so many beautiful people. I’ve always had a hard time finding attractive people in other countries while in Sweden I think almost everyone looks good . I think It’s mainly because people like to stay healthy, at my work the only hobby everyone has in common in training. And not only is it easy to find healthy food but also we have a great health care system to help us out if we have problems with muscles movement or teeth på exempel.
Hmm it’s all very subjective. Mediterranean people are the most beautiful to me.
I like both
You will also see some of the most beautiful people in Slovenia as well (very underrated) *you can even look it up there’s articles and research on it*
In the end you mention both attractive and exotic. Being exotic certainly can help to stand out obviously, but then that goes also for other places. Greetings from a Swede in China (yes, here I certainly stand out, but just being a foreigner helps with that).

Please don't replace yourselves swedes. Malmo is horrible right now.
Leon Ogo Malmö belongs to Denmark as far as we are concerned!
I was born & raised in USA, New York City specifically, but literally all of my family is Swedish. My dads side came from Hälsingland in 1972, when my dad was 13 years old, & my mom was born & raised in Göteborg, & moved here when she was 19-20. We also spoke Swedish at home while I was growing up. But anyway, I’m like the most stereotypical Swedish looking man you can find lol. Light blond hair, blue eyes, I’m tall (6’2), & I also even have that Scandinavian facial structure, like the pronounced jaw & all of that. Both of my sisters have blonde hair & blue eyes too, & are taller than average, both are about 5’8ish, give or take. My entire family has always been told that we look like we came straight out of a Nordic/aryan propaganda poster lol.

Thank you for your observations. My sister and I are Swedes living in the U S-are blond and tall, do care how we dress, and go to the gym and eat healthy foods. She has brown eyes and I have green. 😀 We have good genes too-all my aunts lived into their 90ies,
It makes me flattered to hear that.
Ok but the 3rd graders here be walking around wearing Gucci caps and Tommy Hilfiger hoodies

Enjoy your videos. I live in the UK with big ambitions to live in Scandinavia, either Sweden or Denmark
@North Canada no British
I can definitely relate.. you do get a bit "spoiled" throughout the years. I grew up with alot of female friends and they are pretty much all insanely attractive, but you kinda get used to hanging around them all the time, so you don't really think about them in the same way. Alot of them are blue eyed blondes, and I think that's why I'm more attracted to the complete opposite. My girlfriend is half Swedish-half Asian, with dark hair and brown eyes 🙂 but yeah, overall I definitely agree with you. People do exercise and eat alot healthier over here, and the style as you yourself have experienced is alot better 😉 You definitely dress like a Swede now 👍
@Sophie Ooh I totally agree! There is without a doubt a bunch of tall beautiful Swedish men waiting for you over here 😁 My best friend since childhood has just that, a Swedish father and a Italian mother, and both mom and daughter are absolute gorgeous. It's a pretty damn good combo! 👍
I used to get so much hate from other guys, just because I got to hang out with her all the time ☺️ but I've always been into shorter girls, especially Asian.. So when I met my GF, I got the best of both worlds. She's literally the girl of my dreams!
So yeah.. whether you're into full swedish or mixed, girls or guys. There are some of the most ridiculously beautiful people over here 🙌 So come get some haha.. as long as you're okay with living in pretty much total darkness for 6-8 months a year that is 😒
The blond thing is a myth, most swedes are brunetts and few are naturally blond. (not colored their hair blond)
@@erikalulea3608 Well that's just not true. It would be true if you only saw the platinum blonde as "blonde" but there are a lot of darker colours that is also technically blonde. "Råttfärgat" is for example, technically a blonde colour. There's an actual chart which puts every haircolour in levels, 1-10 with 1 being black and 10 being platinum blonde, these are usually the reference numbers you'll see on boxdyes (if it says 810 it's usually a level 8 in "darkness"), 6-7 and Up is considered a blonde.
Salmonero Yeah I'm not really in to Swedish blonde guys because it’s something I seen my whole life but I do love Americans boys with dark hair
@@erikalulea3608 Most adult swedes have blue eyes and dark blond hair. Most kids are blond but it becomes darker when they grow up and during winter (because the sun bleaches the hair during summer and Scandinavian hair bleaches pretty easy).
