She created history by conceptualizing, composing, directing and leading the grand symphony of 8,500 musicians at the World Culture Festival 2016 that marked 35 years of service of The Art of Living Foundation. An audience of 3.7 million people from over 155 countries witnessed an unparalleled musical extravaganza. Never before in the whole world - had such an event been envisaged. Let alone be attempted.
She envisaged, composed, directed and created ‘Brahmnaad' a mega symphony of more than 1,100 Sitarists, in November, 2008 that went down in the Guinness World Records.
Her velvet voice has left audiences across Norway, Denmark, France, Austria, Netherlands, Germany, Finland, Nepal, Netherlands, and even those in Pakistan, Middle East - Dubai, Muscat, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi- mesmerized.
Her albums are a raging success worldwide - Samarpan, Manmohana, Sadaa, Naman, Eternal Grace, Uma, Maheshwara, Best of Chitra, Nivedan, Geetanjali, Suno Sadh, and shlokas from chapters 6 & 7 of Bhagwad Gita in different ragas have been as popular as the regional devotional albums such as Mere Sahib in Punjabi and those in Bengali.
