Everyone has their own beliefs and opinion on this topic. I dont believe that anyone is right or wrong. At the end it's none of anybody's business to say or tell anyone how to live their life. I am in a relationship with someone with the same last name and we been together for 13 years. Like anyone we live a normal life, have a home, have kids, have jobs, and we are no different from any other couple but of course we get treated much differently even though we are good people with good hearts like anyone too.

If it's true love then you can't really stop them. Either to let them live together or die in peace then hearing all these rumors and bad mouth about them. You can't break true love, no one can't. We lost so many lives due to the folks who still have this attitude. We are in a new generation and we need new better understanding of life. This is my opinion.
There's consequences. When you do something taboo like that, be ready to be frowned upon. You can't stop true love but you also can't tell people how to feel. That's why most people that does this accept that they will sacrifice everything for true love and they just move away from everyone. That's fine. They've made their bed and sleeping in it. IMAGINE THIS: When Sun Z married to a Yang woman. Their children will hold the last name Z. And when Lotus Z married to a Xiong man. Their children will hold the last name Xiong. All the children hold their father's last name. The children happened to love each other and wanted to get married.. The parents approved the children to get married because they have different last name. Questions: 1. How can they get married just because a different last name? 2. Why the parents approved the marriage just because of the different last name? 3. Aren't they have 50%=50% of the bloodline? (Which has a higher chance of getting a blind child) 4. Aren't they cousins? Saw it once: I had a friend who was dating a Xiong girl. Her brothers and sisters are blinded. I asked her " is your mom has the same last name as your dad?" She replied, " No, my mom is Yang and my dad is Xiong. But they are cousins." My opinion about same last name marriage: I don't really care about the same last name marriage. It is just a title. If y'all oppose same last name marriage, it's y'all opinion. However, that is their Life. Not yours. They can write their life whatever they want. It's their BOOK of life. Idk if this part of the reason, but base on what I heard, back in the days our aunts have said some things held hmong ppl under the curse, that if any hmong don't live according or uphold our ancestor tradition, then for them to have a bad life, get sick be poor, or tragedy. I saw a video a while back and a hmong Chinese man said that the reason why same surnames can't marry was because Hmongs families were clans before the surname was adopted. The surnames were Chinese and enforced onto Hmongs, we were forced to assimilate and take up the chinese surnames. Hmongs started going by their surname as the clan name and were prevented from marrying to prevent family members from accidentally inter marrying. I think we need more research on the issue before we mouth away on uneducated opinions.
Finally, someone who actually have a brain. A lot of our cutlure, rules, ects is base on chinese oppression upon us. Example, we can not knee when we eat or else we will become chinese slave. Everyone has their own beliefs and opinion on this topic. I dont believe that anyone is right or wrong. At the end it's none of anybody's business to say or tell anyone how to live their life. I am in a relationship with someone with the same last name and we been together for 13 years. Like anyone we live a normal life, have a home, have kids, have jobs, and we are no different from any other couple but of course we get treated much differently even though we are good people with good hearts like anyone too.
There's nothing wrong marry with same last name but in hmong community you both will be outcast. Thats the thing you have to accept either you like it or not. This is 21st century. Live the way you want to live. 1 thing hmong people need to learn is mind their own business. Talk shit about other wont make you any better.

If it's true love then you can't really stop them. Either to let them live together or die in peace then hearing all these rumors and bad mouth about them. You can't break true love, no one can't. We lost so many lives due to the folks who still have this attitude. We are in a new generation and we need new better understanding of life. This is my opinion.
There's consequences. When you do something taboo like that, be ready to be frowned upon. You can't stop true love but you also can't tell people how to feel. That's why most people that does this accept that they will sacrifice everything for true love and they just move away from everyone. That's fine. They've made their bed and sleeping in it. 1. Z is the last name.
A Z Family that has 2 children, a son and a daughter. The name of son is Sun Z. The daughter's name is Lotus Z.
IMAGINE THIS:
When Sun Z married to a Yang woman. Their children will hold the last name Z. And when Lotus Z married to a Xiong man. Their children will hold the last name Xiong. All the children hold their father's last name.
The children happened to love each other and wanted to get married..
The parents approved the children to get married because they have different last name.
Questions:
1. How can they get married just because a different last name?
2. Why the parents approved the marriage just because of the different last name?
3. Aren't they have 50%=50% of the bloodline? (Which has a higher chance of getting a blind child)

My opinion about same last name marriage: I don't really care about the same last name marriage. It is just a title. If y'all oppose same last name marriage, it's y'all opinion. I saw a video a while back and a hmong Chinese man said that the reason why same surnames can't marry was because Hmongs families were clans before the surname was adopted. The surnames were Chinese and enforced onto Hmongs, we were forced to assimilate and take up the chinese surnames. Hmongs started going by their surname as the clan name and were prevented from marrying to prevent family members from accidentally inter marrying. I think we need more research on the issue before we mouth away on uneducated opinions.
Finally, someone who actually have a brain. A lot of our cutlure, rules, ects is base on chinese oppression upon us. Example, we can not knee when we eat or else we will become chinese slave. I bet thats what the chinese did to us when they enslaved us. Thats why a lot of grandparents frown upon that ideology.
