When I started big in to bass and bluegill fishing living in Sumter S Carolina... I had 2 full tackle boxes and carried 3 differernt rods. I was a fanatic. That was stage 3 of fishing. Yes, there are stages. The stages are 1-6. Stage 3 was when you wanted to go everywhere and anywhere and "hunt"/catch everything and anything that was worth it. Today - that is not very sustainable - unless of course you release everything, except a couple for eating. I have since reduced my tackle needs for bass, trout, salmon, panfish.,.. etc... to one small purse size shoulder bag. No more lead weighted baits, no more rubber, no more plastic - well, I try to at leasrt avoid these as much as possible. It is sooooo simplified my fishing experience that it has become much easier, simpler, enjoyable and challenging. I used to have $1,000 of tackle with me wherever I went and felt I was invincible. This was when I was 19-30 yrs old. I have learned sooo much since then. It is NOT about catching the fish. It is about the experience in the woods, stream, lake, shoreline, etc... That is what it will ALWAYS come down to - when you reach stage 6 or 7. Sure, we all like and want to catch some lunkers, but it is not just about that and certainly it is NOT about the arsenal and tackle boxes that we carry.
@Allaroundstuff thats awsome dude, i do some tournaments myself i took first at my last one we whent out thismorning and i caught 15 on a biffle bug biggest was prolly 16 inches
PS - when engaged in this style and type of fishing, I would strongly suggest that you look to What Would Nature Do. Yep, just like in ecological site development, buildings, habitat conservationa nd restoration, name it.... WHAT WOULD NATURE DO... will alwyas lead you to success.
@TheBassfisher352 actually i do tournaments...in fact...i went to the national gaurd junior world championship in Arkadelphia Arkansas on Degray Lake this year. I had waited a few weeks to open it and screwed up on a few color names, but that doesnt mean i dont do tournaments. I didnt waste the money and i came in 2nd in that tournament. do you do tourneys? I didnt even know that shore tourneys existed

the suffiz line is great and holds up to any bass.
The ultravibe speed worms are really good on the shakey head rig.
Just drag in on the the bottom in a tournamennt.
