Companies find sneaky ways to have their customers use more of their product to boost sales. Back in the 1980's, Crest enlarged the opening of their toothpaste tubes by 15% to cause people to use more every time they brushed their teeth. It seems that SoftSoap has been doing something similar with the way the base of their soap bottles are designed, along with the short length of the "straw", as well as how flipping it over can cause a mess.
