This bass line is KILLER! I love this song!
JPJ on the bass is killing it. I was 15 when this came out. Nothing was like this back then. They revolutionized Rock. The lead singer is always having relationship issues or unrequited love issues. Robert Plant was a player, but seemed to get entangled with women who didn't always have his best interest at heart. He gets overwhelmed by good sex. 🇨🇦🔥🥇👋
Robert wasn't writing about a personal relationship in this song. The Lemon song was based on an earlier blues version and since they sang a lot of blues songs, the clue is in the word 'blues'. Such songs are traditionally about heartbreak. Where Robert does write about personal relationships is in songs like 'Thank You', 'What is and What Should Never Be, and 'Black Country Woman'.
