This theme was so ahead of it's time for a Bond movie. Great bass line and orchestration....menacing..throbbing..predatory...PURE BOND. OHMSS was one of my all time favorites...behind You only live twice. John Barry is totally on point with this particular theme....Kudos!
I totally agree with you 100% . If you get the chance, read Jon Burlingames book as regards the Bond scores , songs, etc ..very informative. ( if you don't already own it ) I own it . The book gives a history as regards why Barry used the Moog in the movie ..etc etc .

Literally fell in love with this movie as a kid, now as a 53 year old life long Bond fan it is without doubt the best Bond movie ever. Craig even ripped it off as his swan song.
@@hombre1965100%! And I’m a trained actor! Connery was great no doubt, but it wasn’t until Lazenby that I ever saw Bond scared. Lazenby’s portrayal was more human; Connery’s more of a cold machine. I’ve read all the books growing up, to me Bond was human & Lazenby brought that out in his portrayal.

A good version of one of my favorite Bond themes; I am sorry that it has not accumulated more views. I have always wished for an edgier and stronger base version of the theme, and this is a step in that direction, though the horns are still overpowering.
Great theme by John Barry. And let's not forget Derek Watkins, who provided the iconic lead trumpet sound on all of the James Bond films until his death in 2013 - his mastery of the wah-wah mute and blazing high register is on full display here.

Please do the correct film version with 4 beats at the end. That's the one used in the film. The one you did, very nicely, is the LP version, which is missing 2 beats at the end, and frustrates OCD OHMSS fans like me. Thank you!
