Video was originally recorded at 720p using a myHD MDP-120 HDTV capture card from ABC affiliate WJLA-DT. This was later recompressed to 320x180 MP4 to conserve hard drive space.
In 2010, was going through some old hard drives and I stumbled upon this video and figured I would upload it to CZcams for old time's sake.
2006 is the greatest year of my life as a little boy. Cars is the first movie I’d ever watched in cinemas, and that movie still holds me dearly into my heart as an adult.
I remember seeing Cars in theaters too, I was 5. The first film I saw in theaters was Shrek 2, which I also going to see.
Poor Dick. :( It breaks my heart to see him struggle. I give it to this man His detication is outstanding he is Truly a Wonderful Role Model for anyone suffring from strokes

Man I wish I can go back to 2006 the year that I felt had everything to bad my life sucked back then because my school life was hard and I didn't have a girlfriend like all those other lucky people in the United States. Also because I was forteen years old back then.

i think this was the first ball drop ive seen since i was little. i remembered watching it in my cousin house a long time ago.
Dick Clark countdown was 2 seconds early starting from half 10 seconds
Do you happen to have this ball drop available in any higher resolution? Regardless, still great to see HD footage from such an early point. This must’ve been one of, if not the first, New Year’s Rockin’ Eves broadcast in HD.
Sadly, due to file storage constraints back then, I did not save the 720p transport stream after the downconversion.
