Harvey was smart at the end there. He knew the gambler lawyer would take it too personally and want to beat Harvey so sending Mike wwas doing both Mike and the case a favour.
The alternate ending of season 3 was that James was gonna come back to the office with a gun!

I'm confused. Mike in the pilot episode said he already took the bar and passed, without ever having attended law school, so his name would already be in the NY Bar.
He passed the bar for other people
I believe he just implied that he passed since he has repeatedly taken the exam with passing scores under a different name. He has not *officially* passed the bar as Mike Ross.
But he didn’t go to law school. You need to more than just pass the bar to be called to the bar

Running someone’s credit is easy, a name and an address is all you need. State bar usually has a directory for all licensed attorneys. They used Lola to hack his accounts to source his income
@@emmk7744 we're talking about knowing his divorce history lol and his gambling debts. And it isn't easy or legal to run check against someone for reasons such as this. They're not a credit agency lol. And soon as the judge asks in court where they got the information from, boom it becomes inadmissible.
Parties can be searched in court indexes. Just go to the courthouse or search online now. Or LEXIS and WESTLAW and other services have amazing amount of information on people.

You miss the point. Harvey was bored out of his mind - plus he plays cards, races cars - he loves adrenaline.
The rush of doing what they were doing and the fact they struck a true friendship is what the show is about. And you know ... its a show.
@Nightwolf V - It’s just a tv show… and we are having a little bit of fun. But I do agree with you: in reality, an attorney would never do that.
People risk a lot more for a lot less in the real world every single day (look at Apple using sweatshop child labor in China for 10 years and nobody cares right now, but one day that risk won't pay off).
The show is a parody of real life, nobody has a memory like Mike’s, it’s now how eidetic memories work. He is literally a low level superhero.
I'm in the middle of binge watching this show. Great show. Actors are all great. Meghan Markle was great.

I just discovered this show yesterday. While the story is great, this is the most overacting I've ever seen, especially the female characters.
It's a legal drama, overacting is all they have, there's no special effects or superheroes to keep that runtime full up.
