I had a bad experience getting mine signed off this year.
I got a new role once I was exam qualified which was a large pay and responsibility increase, but the role was reliant on me getting my membership.
My employer at the time decided to stall out signing it off in the hope that they could put together a counter offer for me staying.
I had to go to HR and complain for it to get sorted. My last exam was December 2023, I had completed my PER for review and sign off in July 2023, and only got my membership in Feb 2024 😂 everyone should listen to James and Omar and do the PER as you go!

Wow Eddie! Thank you for sharing you experience, I really appreciate it and great to hear you agree with the advice in the video 😁
Congratulations on qualifying and I hope to meet you one day at an ACCA event! 😁

Hi James! I have a student question you may be able to help me with :)
I graduated university with an accounting & finance degree (2.1). However in some modules I achieved a grade of 40% which was a pass according to my university. However I understand the pass mark for acca exams is 50%. Will I be granted my exemptions despite not achieving over 50%?
The exemptions calculator says they are awarded with the completion of the module which I technically did however I'm still really confused about this one
    Thanks for all your content

Hey Ribena, glad to hear you like the content and thanks for watching! 🤓
You will need to send your University transcript (all of your grade details - you will have received this upon graduating) to the ACCA team where you are based for the team to interpret and they will get back to you with the exemptions outcome - that's what you need to do! Best of luck and enjoy the new videos 🤓

The pass mark for *acca* exams is 50%, not your uni module. So as long as you've passed the module by your Uni's standard, you're most probably good to go for getting the exemptions.
