I got mine already and it’s definitely a step up from the old one. It has a bunch of new features. It really makes color grading easier and faster. A great buy for the price. It fits in my computer case for travel. It works with Resolve 19.
Hi Chris, firstly thanks for the comment. Yeah it’s good to hear you’ve got yours and the upgrade was worth it. I almost bought the older one before this got announced and released. Do you put it in its own sleeve with your computer?
@@alexblackburnproducer The bag has separated compartments that are padded.
Im looking forward to trying yours out on our next project! Looks a good bit of kit.
Great video - on point, i hope that you're going to grow your channel on youtube!!
Hi there and thank you for your kind words. I’m going to try my best amongst everything else. Next will be a series (I hope) of all the different gear that makes up my documentary camera setup.
Nice video. The problem is: The panel is sold out everywhere without any information for the future availability …
Thank you for the comment. The same thing happened to me when I originally purchased my 4k & 6kPro Cameras from BlackMagic. At some point it will ease (I hope).
Great video. Subscribed!
Thanks Mat, appreciate it. More videos coming very soon
Good video showcasing the panel, would love to see a detailed video how you use it, screen recording along with 1 camera showing close up what you are doing on the panel that kind of video I just could not find anywhere on youtube. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Ranjan, I am happy to produce a video like that, to show the basics on how to use it. I have some work from a feature documentary I can use that is already public so that would work. Maybe do something live? Possibly.
@@alexblackburnproducer If you can do live with multicam then yes that can be very useful as people watching live can ask question which you can then give a demo.
I have specific interest in how HDR wheels work with 3 dials. I can list out my question in advance so you can give demo of those features.
@@RanjanSharma2001 I’m happy to receive questions in advance for sure
I managed to get one here in the UK a couple of weeks ago. Using it loads.
It’s terrific fun to use
Hi, do you tried the compatibility with HDR wheels and the new Colorslice, is something that it´s possible to control with the micro panel? Thank you!
I’m afraid I’ve not used it in that way sorry
May be a dumb question question. Can you use it for other programs or actions outside of davinci?
I’m not sure, it’s Bluetooth and recognised by PC & MAC fully. Depends on if the software you want to use supports the device.
where did you order your panel from? I ordered mine from CVP and they have no idea when stock is arriving
I ordered my panel from ProAV on 3/5/24 (it was in stock at the time) and arrived 5/5/24. Sorry to hear that the stock has dried up currently. It’s the same with the BlackMagic cameras when they come out
@@alexblackburnproducer I pre-ordered the panel 30/04/24, CVP emailed me 01/05/24 saying that they didn't have an ETA with Blackmagic on when they'll be getting stock 😭
@@laserfliptoboneless that’s crazy! I would keep an eye of several suppliers and possibly order over the phone to confirm stock when one of them does.
Waiting on a pre order now. What’s the battery life like so far?
The battery has lasted me all day on a involved project. Hasn’t run out yet
The lights turn off on the panel when you’re not in resolve. That will save a tonne of battery time.
@@alexblackburnproducer slick, thanks!
@@zakkbeaty8352 if there’s anything else you are wondering about with the panel etc, happy to reply.
Great video, but your audio levels are about 14db too quiet. Resolve has an Audio Normalization option on the deliver page that can help with that. Just choose CZcams as the standard there and you should be good to go!
Hi there. Thanks for the tip Kaur, I’m slowly putting more CZcams content together but currently working on a documentary feature too. I’ll follow your guidance the next time I release a video. Thanks for reaching out.

I want one so bad... So many shiny buttons and knobs
Yeah man it’s going to be so useful on my current feature project. The buttons light up only when resolve is launched. So cool
does it comes with a license?
It does not come with a license of resolve studio
Where on earth did you get it? I cannot find it anywhere
Some of it was luck really. I purchased it from ProAV (UK) and it was in stock for under a week
@@alexblackburnproducer ok thanks, you got lucky for sure!
Does it come with software or not?
It does not come with a free license for Resolve Studio
bro thank you! can you please your background color, please! something bright, but not black
I will have a look at options. It’s not my final setup but I appreciate the feedback. Thanks.
Is the mini worth it? Or one could just get that new micro?
This is the new Micro ‘Color’ Panel model from BM. It’s replaced the older Resolve Micro Panel. It’s worth the money as the extra features and improvements from the previous designs are a nice step up.
Deff get the Micro!!!
@@PopoRamos yeah man well worth the money. Solid, well built tool for work
@@alexblackburnproducer yup, I got one already and I’m loving it. It has everything that was missing for me on other budget panels
@@PopoRamos totally agree
Works with Windows 10 OS?
Hi Nada, yes Windows 10 will work with this device no problem.
@@alexblackburnproducer Thanks !!
