    Nice that they do a meet n greet with fans, more bands should do that, good PR.

    He's such a nice guy and if I was the interviewer I couldnt tell him the truth about the new album. I'd feel propper disrespectful. This guy's early career is absolutely fantastic and I'll always appreciate him whether he is putting out bog standard stuff these days.

    @rokstar48 Well, I like both bands and the way they do things. I like to rock out with Iron Maiden in the big venues. But I also like to rock out with Queensryche in the intimate settings where the guys make everyone feel like they are really there playing just for them. I don't know any other Iron Maiden fans except my son. We can go to a big arena, see the show, then come home. But there is a family with Queensryche. We travel all over together to see them. It isn't just go to the show, then..

    @rokstar48 They have already done Rage For Order. You're not going to get another one. If that's the music you want, go listen to it again. I do. It is one of my favorite CDs of ANY group, so I listen frequently. American Soldier definitely was NOT rubbish. That is an AWESOME CD! I'm not alone in really liking the new one as well. As for Chris, I think the band would always welcome him back. It would not do him any good to ask Chris to come back. He left on his own & does not want to come back.

    I am really getting sick of people dumping on Geoff for the Queensryche split. I know him personaly and he is a great guy. I have seen him show endless patience back stage for his fans backstage and try to interact with as many of them as he can. Untill you know the man don't believe the bullshit on the net. Rock an roll like hollywood loves a good scandle.

    @rokstar48 I own every Queensryche CD, and I always read the credits. Bands evolve. When Chris left, they evolved by having additonal writers. Many bands have additional writers. It is still Queensryche. It is still their disctinct sound. Queensryche recorded it. It IS Queensryche. Just because you don't like that it isn't the same style from the 80's does not make it NOT Queensryche. You are also incorrect to think that 90% of their fans don't like it. Just the more vocal ones don't like it.

    @ReneeRycher I just find it sad as to what they could of achieved and what they have become. I just wanna see them successful again but I dont think they will ever reach those heights again while people like Kelly Gray and Jason Slater seem to be more involved in the band than the actual band themselves. Ive followed them for 20 years and as another fan said online recently.....perhaps De Garmo was Queensryche all along

  • @Hulkamaniac418
    @Hulkamaniac418 Před 12 lety

    Yes, DeGarmo was Queensryche, no doubt. Tribe and Hear in the Now Frontier were DeGarmo masterpieces. ;)

    Two things;
    a). Tom Russell has a cool accent!
    b). Why is he interviewing George Costanza? Just kidding.
    In spite of what happened (alleged or not), Geoff will always be one of my favorite vocalists.

    You also cannot compare any other CDs to the sales of Empire. Empire is their most "commercial" work. If course it sold better. My husband likes Empire, and he does not like ANYTHING else this band has done. I have bought Empire probalbly 20-30 times myself and given it to people who haven't bought another QR release for themselves. I am not the only fans who has done this. Therefore, knowing there are people like this, not all Empire sales are to QR fans. That makes it a skewed comparison.

  • @rokstar48
    @rokstar48 Před 13 lety

    @ReneeRycher ok compare it to Promised Land or Mindcrime or Rage or even Hear (which sold about 200,000 copies)........without the main songwriter they aint the genuine band, fans are telling them this by not buying the new album......unfortunately the band are choosing to ignore the very people who gave them a careeer and wealth. I asked Scott about Chris a few weeks ago, and his answer was..."arhh well its been a long time now without him". Arhhhh well Iam seeing Iron Maiden tonight, at least

    good interview, shame its just abit too friendly and safe. Would really like to know what he actually thinks to whats happening to the band in 2011, all the fans walking away from them because they have written rubbish for a decade now. And what he thinks to Chris de Garmo in 2011, and would he ever ask him to rejoin the band.

  • @ReneeRycher
    @ReneeRycher Před 13 lety

    go home. It is a whole big to do. The band DOES appreciate their fans. They do extra things for us all the time. A trip to see QR is not just for the time they are on stage. The entire trip is a Rychen good time!

  • @rokstar48
    @rokstar48 Před 13 lety

    @ReneeRycher The thing is the stuff they have written for a decade now aint Queensryche....go check out the sleeve for any album of recent years and youll see its written in the main by Geoff and people who arent in the band!. This explains the weak material and why 90% of the fans dont like what they are doing now. And dont just have a go at me.....3.5 million sales of Empire and 15,000 copies of Dedicated to chaos....the figures speak for themselves about what the fans really think

  • @rokstar48
    @rokstar48 Před 13 lety

    they are still writing decent rock music that still sounds fresh but still sounds like the same band.......and they are still selling out stadiums and arenas after 35 years in the business.......shame Queensryche cant wake up and realise where they are going wrong
