One point I agree that fly characters arent fun to play, but for the most part, you're dissatisfaction with the game seems to be for the most part with impatience and the honestly very slippery physics. On thing that rubs me the wrong way though is that you mention this is the FIRST TIME playing Sonic Heroes but title as "worse than you remember, implying you've played this before. Apart from that mate, the editing is very good and so is pacing. You say what you gotta say and don't dwell on it for too long, keeping things fresh. Found myself invested almost immediately. Shadow was way more enjoyable and you had way much more control over his movements, if you don't like it, it's fine, but complaining about it being slippery? While liking Heroes? My guy what?

Person over 30 (because I seriously doubt anyone younger could be defending this game) give me 1 good reason I would want to choose this game over any other sonic game to play (save 06, that game has even more bugs and multiple people were working on it).
While I do really enjoy Sonic Heroes, I can really understand why people don't like it. I feel this game could've been amazing if they fixed the control and mechanics, made each team go through different levels and not the same, and fixed some of the bosses(team battles and the metal overlord). There is much more I can say, but then this comment would turn into an essay. But with all of that said, I still like Sonic Heroes.
Yeah, having to go through the game 4 times with the lackluster physics really puts a bad feeling in my mouth and could have been better with tweaks. As for the bosses, they were lackluster the only one i really didn't like was team chaotixs portion of metal madness because of how long it took. Feel free to say more though i like receiving comments like these.

I started sonic 06 a month ago, but stopped after so long because i was just doing it to test a controller and the console, but from what I played of it, I have a feeling I would even enjoy that more than heroes. I should replay sonic heroes at some point to give it a second shot now that I am more mentally stable.
@zadock6370 if you do end up replaying it i would recommend taking a break inbetween each teams story because i was burnt out from the game by the end of team dark. Also the ps2 version is comically bad so play the gamecube version on dolphin if you have a chance.
