  • I review two flashlight that have a flat profile making both convenient pocket EDCs, but one has a clear advantage over the other.

Great review. Subjective reviews provide personal experience which is very helpful. One thing I would consider is dependability. I prefer Surefire over Streamlight solely because I have had three streamlights stop working on me, whereas none of my 10 Surefires have ever had a problem, inlcuding my 14 year old Surefire that still fires up with no problem.

Thanks for your review. I just subscribed. By the way, you can get dust caps for the usb c charging port. They are very cheap.

I'm using the wedge but I haven't turned it on accidentally. However I use a belt clip for my phone and my front pocket only houses my knife and the wedge.

I like the bezel up on the Stiletto, I don’t have to worry about my keys hitting the lense. You can also program the tail cap to be always on instead of momentary. Main reason I chose it over the Wedge was I was able to get it a similar price to what the Wedge costs.

I also wish the stiletto used USBC instead of micro usb for charging.

I love the stiletto. Never used the wedge though. I have an olight baton ii and I prefer my stiletto over it

Nice review, but I disagree about the risk of a "negligent discharge" on the Wedge. At least a couple different times other items in my pocket have turned on my Wedge. Maybe reversing the pocket clip would help though. Besides that issue, the lack of a rubber cap for the charging port, and being made in China, I really like it.

I would say if the Wedge can have a momentary tail switch that would be the perfect all around edc flash light in my imagination. Meanwhile, I don’t find the tail switch is really necessary for any scenario I can imagine, so I will stick with my Wedge for a while.

FAKE, i own both and even that the Siletto is 650 lumens it shines the area much better than the Wedge, this guy got a free wedge this is why he says that is the winner LOL

Great review. If you like that shape, you should check out the olight arkfeld. Probably not as good but I love it. I plan on picking up that stream light based on this review. Thanks for the comparison.

I completely disagree. I've had the surefire stilletto for 3 - 4 maybe even 5 years. I carry it everyday & everywhere. It's the best by far edc flashlight. My charge port finally broke & I immediately went on line & bought a new one. Price went up a lot but that was not a problem. I've never had a streamlight so I can't really speak on them. You can't always trust one man's opinion. You do a good job on your reviews, just have to remember it's your opinion.

This review is not very thought out. You’re comparing an EDC light (The Wedge) to the Stiletto which functions as both EDC and a Tactical light. First, it’s a bad thing to use an EDC light that will step down in lumens in an emergency. Two tactical lights generally have a tail switch for one handed holds or even when you’re using the light in a two handed grip with your pistol.
I have the standard and the pro version and the tail switch is easy to hit without the light slipping out of your hand.
Why is programming the light a problem. You only may do it once and you won’t be doing it during an emergency. Make since that it steps up from low to high because if you really need to go high right away you have a tail switch for that.
And as far as the clip carry emitter up, I find it generally faster to by the tail switch or the manual switch while it’s tip up.

I purchased the streamlight first and it is awkward and definitely needs a tail cap switch but it’s a decent light. The surefire is superior even though it has less lumens. Side by side the 600 lumen surefire is brighter than the 1000 lumens streamlight due to the candela.

FAKE and bad revview, this is only your own opinion, i own both and the Siletto is way too much better and compact to carry, the wedge is aluminum very easy to scratch while the surefire is polimer, wedge is 1000 lumens buy the Siletto 650 lumens shines the area much better, your review is wrong!!

    • @firstlevel6953
      @firstlevel6953  Před rokem +9

Couple of things off the top of my head…”This is only your own opinion.” Um…that’s the definition of a review, giving people my opinion. No one has a gun to anyone’s head forcing them to agree. I stand by my assessment that the Stiletto absolutely sucks, because that’s been my experience with it. The most productive thing you could do is get a camera, some lights, a CZcams account and do your own review, show me where I’m wrong. And the whole thing about my review being fake? No, not fake, I actually recorded it. 2) The only thing I dislike about the Wedge is the lack of a tail cap switch, which I mentioned in the review. Other than that, I swear by it. BTW, you can find other CZcams videos where people don’t like the Stiletto either.

What is fake and why is it a bad review? I've watched many other reviews and they say the same thing. Oddly enough the other reviews mention the cost difference vs. what you get. The Surefire appears brighter but the run time is not as long as the Streamlight. EDC means simply that. It's not a specialty light, it's general purpose for general needs. We all have opinions. My opinion is I like the thinness in my pocket that allows me to get to my keyfob and keys. I don''t want to dedicate a pocket specifically for a bulky light. For EDC the streamlight is a better light for me. I have 2000 lumen lights for specific tasks and I have weapon mounted lights on my carry guns (2 of 5 anyway) so I don't need this for tactical use. For most people, 100-300 lumen is enough for daily tasks. As far as scratches, it's for EDC, it's not a pocket queen, it's a tool.

A review given by someone is something that is done from their perspective. A review in the US and Europe of the same truck many have very different views, due to preference, expectations, or standards. Don’t be so critical dude.
