NEC Contracts have come to stay in Peru and are paving a new path for better fostering public sector projects. In this video, Cesar Rojas, Director of PEIP-EB (Bicentennial Schools), explains his experience with various NEC contract-based projects in Peru.
Omar A. Samaniego, Risk Specialist, conducts the introductory interview, reviewing some aspects of PEIP-EB where he developed a FULLY FUNCTIONAL CLOUD-BASED #DASHBOARD for quality management as of OCTOBER 2022; this was also presented to his counterpart at that time, along with a key tool (#Completion Matrix) for monitoring true completion in real-time.
During the presentation, Cesar Rojas provides details of the LIMA 2019 Pan American project, where NEC Contracts were first introduced in Peru. Since then, things have not been the same for the better. There is much to improve, as it implies a cultural change, but little by little, NEC contracts are setting a path for propelling infrastructure projects in a G2G scheme.
Note: This translation is not perfect as it comes from an automatic CZcams translator. Things to take note:
/peɪp/ words mean PEIP-EB, which stands for Special Public Investment Project - Bicentennial Schools, as per the initials in Spanish.
"...no?" is a Peruvian Spanish idiomatic expression that means "...right?" e.g. "Estamos de acuerdo, no?" "Are we in agreement, right?"
