    Actually, it's kinda make sense since enkonomiya is an ancient civilization, people moved on and left that place years ago. It's a history, an ancient ruins, being abandoned and forgotten, both by us, the players, and the characters or npcs in the game. We took the quest, we knew the lore and we shall enter that place no longer. In other words, hoyoverse DID it again

    • @timothytt547
      @timothytt547 Před rokem +84

      Canonically, yes, that's correct. However if that's really the case then they could've sealed the place off after a certain point (like with the 40 day alt-reality Enkanomiya event place).

    • @UBvtuber
      @UBvtuber Před rokem +60

      @@timothytt547 They did that with the chasm's bed: a place so dangerous and canonically virtually impossible to escape that it has to be sealed to keep people from dying in it. Actually, considering a couple months after that quest: IH re-popularized the story of a man who literally died trapped in a cave.... it makes it even creepier.
      That place is doomed to being forgotten except by lore buffs who use it to prove certain theories about the entire game.

    Enkanomiya was probably one of the best maps in the game. The first time you go there it's really stunning because it's very beautiful and the battle music is one of the best right now. The only problem with Enkanomiya is that only two characters benefit from the boss, Shenhe and Yae plus the fishes there aren't used in any exchange in the fishing shop. I hope they visit the place in future updates to deepen the lore of Enkanomiya. Chasm I think will be revisited because we haven't seen what happened to the girl (forgot her name) after she ventured deeper. I guess we will get another layer? Hopefully. Chasm was also a good map but the boss there just like Enkanomiya only benefits a few characters, plus the new enemies there were only used for some that I stopped farming for them after maxing Yelan.

    • @emptyallen3334
      @emptyallen3334 Před rokem +6

      @@WeiYinChan This is simply a faulty analogy fallacy. They are the same in a sense of a preemptive context, yet their core essence begs to differ.
      Before everything, let us define both terms.
      Limited Event Quests are quests in limited events. This examplifies that once the event ceases, it can no longer be accessed by the playerbase.
      It is limited in the truth of a time frame and not of its permanence.
      Permanent Quests are quests that aren't limited to a certain time frame, in simpler terms "permanent". They are accessible to the general playerbase and doesn't require a restrictive time period for it to be played.
      A quest fulfills its purpose if it has been completed. Replayability doesn't equate to its permanence.
      In all essence, both can be identified as quests yet the major difference is that one is in a limited time frame, while the latter is available in all times. Availability is the core factor in the assessment of both and not of its unified characteristic of being a quest.
      Limited Major Event Quests are given voice lines by the developers for the reason of it being limited. If the event quest is just a text wall after another without voice acting , the general opinion of the playerbase will be in the sense of it being annoying and forgettable.
      Think of it as the law of supply and demand. If the supply is surplus, the demand is quite low. On the other hand, if the supply is scarce, then consequently, its demand will be high.
      Limited Major Events are higher in the hierarchy of quests for this very reason. These are limited Event Quests, why shouldn't they add voice acting?
      In addition, it would make great use of the talents of the voice actors. If Ruu in the serai island chain Questline was voice acted and got more salary than the past voice actors, wouldn't it be quite unfair? This is precisely one of the many reasons why. Exposure for the past characters and increasing their relevance are quite important for a buisness model like Hoyoverse's in the long run.

    I think Mondtsadt is sorta forgotten. Please hear me out! Everyone is so excited about Sumeru’s release and the next regions to be released. However, without Mondstadt, there would be no journey to Liyue, Inazuma, or even Sumeru. Mondstadt is the region we began with. Plenty of memories were made there. We’ve met some of our best friends, like Bennett, there. We’ve also fished Paimon out of a river/ocean. I have all of Teyvat unlocked (I can’t seem to get Enkomiya and Underground Mines) but, I still explore Mondstadt most. I even have my commissions set there. also, (hoping i read it correctly) if you're having trouble unlocking enkanomiya, you'll have to do a watatsumi quest to get the area and (i think( for the underground part of the chasm you'll have to do an archon quest to unlock it

I remember how I got the Freeze's death achievement in the 1st day of exploring it :D I remember how it was released and when there's appeared the standard wishes for upgrading your chars' system. I remember when I got Amos from this wishes and how I was mad its not character, like Diluc or Qiqi. I remember how everyone hated Albedo because he was geo and geo was the one of the weakest elements, and honestly I was hating him too because I still was a newbie, I only had 35 AR but now he's my favourite (saying it as 59 AR player). I remember how everyone's was excited and and the same time crying from quests hardness from Dragonspine. This location brings so much good memories. And another one is a female fatuus whom seems friendly and cheerful enough despite alrdy starving for days. I started playing on my Ps4 on a NA account (my ps4 made me go to NA and you couldn’t change regions in Ps4) but eventually moved to a new account with a newly bought iPad gen 8 to Asia because i’m in Asia and i obviously wanted good ping for Spiral Abyss and stuff. I remember getting Qiqi on my 2nd standard wish and Xiao (first xiao banner) on my 8th event wish. A few banners after that I moved to PC. Everything just escalated from there, buying many genisis and welkins, losing 50/50’s, exploring everything to 100% all the way to Inazuma. I’m glad I got to play Genshin Impact. In a few days, i’m going to reach ar60 with this account of mine with 7k xp left. One day in the future when I see “Genshin Impact” I would be glad to say it was one of the best games i’ve ever played and had a lot of fun playing it.

      really? artifact farm in these places? they suck for artifacts. there's a hard limit of 150 artifacts a day (if you ONLY loot artifacts and nothing else), so you don't need all regions to reach that quota. best places for artifacts are kannazuka, seirai, the small island in between kannazuka and narukami island, the outer route for watatsumi, dragon spine (not a lot but they're quick to get and dense), some places in liyue like sal terrae and that treasure hoarder camp on the northern part of bishui plains, as well as that router west of the wangshu inn, and now the pyramid in sumeru's desert and the temple in front of it have a shitload of artifacts too, plus an underground route behind the pyramid

Thank you for taking us back in memory lane tho, its nice seeing places that i haven't visited for a long time 😊

    • @GraveUypo
      @GraveUypo Před rokem +1

      i hate sumeru. to me it's by far the worst region. exploration is a chore. they threw away all the good design philosophies the other regions had for exploration. sumeru is too large. and i don't mean it has too much stuff, i mean everything in there is oversized for no reason. it results in pretty vistas that are incredibly bad to explore and feel super baren and sparse. not NEARLY as dense as other regions. it's like sumeru is made for gundams, not normal humans. not to mention the caves. oh, i can't put how much i hate them into words properly. and let's not forget that they gate exploration behind terribly long and boring quests. i hate everything about sumeru. can't wait to go to the next country and i hope they fix all of this crap in that one. also, because everything is so big and this game's draw distance is SO FREAKING BAD, you fly above a region looking for things to do and you might miss EVERYTHING because you're not close enough to be able to even see them. like, for real? who designed this region?
      liyue is actually peak exploration. traversal is awesome, and most of liyue is triple-layered (ground level, mid-mountain paths, peaks), while transitions between layers being possible at any time and all three being easily read from a map, and you can climb high and see the dense dotting of interactables throughout the terrain in all layers. it is just a delight to explore.
      dragonspine is a close second. mondstadt is a bit too basic, but nothing about it is offensively bad, so it's a good region. inazuma is okay, but most islands have one or other exploration unfriendliness about them, like cliffs with protrusions you can't climb. it's still decent. but it has the densest elite monster spawns, so it's the most fun region to coop in (i mean, after enkanomiya, that is the BEST region to do elite routes in, but it's like part of inazuma so yeah still counts for inazuma). lots of monsters to kill. sumeru just made everything inazuma does wrong a hundred times worse. and the monsters suck on top of it, lol.

    Going back to Tsurumi Island just to listen to Ruu's theme is also very me. His theme really stuck to me and I still tear up every time I hear it. It's really sad when these areas were only amazing for a short time and they don't add any more stuff to do in there after you fully consumed every single thing. I wish they would add commissions there, too, or at least more world quests. But it's nice to go back to these places from time to time just to reminisce past experiences c:
    Also, my number 1 forgotten place... I would say Dragonspine as it's been quite a while since we last had updates for that area, but then I still go there to farm cryo artis and sometimes commissions. So definitely Enkanomiya. That place just feels even more empty once you're done with everything, but it certainly is a beautiful place.

    Dragonspine is the least forgotten, with the yearly seasonal albedo event story quest.
    Tsurumi, the statue for the thunderbird, and the 2d artwork of kapactr look like fischl's Oz and the nightraven statues, indicating a link between fischl's unique vision and kapactr. Her final character story quest might well have us traveling with fischl and oz to tsurumi island.

    Just recently been going to underground chasm to level up Kuki. Already got everything I need two weeks ago, but felt like exploring the place once more yesterday. Found lots of unlocked chest indicators lmao; I was probably saving them for later but ended up forgetting about it. Got enough primos for 2 pull just from the chests alone.

    as much as i wish we had more stuff to do in these places (enka and dragonspine are my absolute favorite places in genshin, seriously), i kinda get why they become "forgotten" after we're done with them. most of these have one of two thing in common - the celestial "nail" and some kind of civilization being pretty much wiped out, presumably by celestia itself. so it makes sense to me that they get so empty - celestia WANTS people to forget about them, and that would include the player
    as for the secret island - the quest there hints at an archon that is to be mentioned yet in the main story, the archon of time. something tells me that we will go back to that island or something like that by the time khaenri'ah comes out

    Nice choice of places. Music is also one big thing to me. There are very nice places int he game but because they are difficult to access, not that we forgot them, we just don't go there. A nice place early game was the floating island in Liyue and also a very high peak by Liyue city where there is a big white chest at the top. I did climb this the hard way yet I found later there is a clover mechanism that at least helps a bit to get there. On that peak there is a wind field that allow us to stay there and enjoy the view.

    Enkanomiya is such a great place to be.. with haunting music and so much lore going on in there! I hope we are not done yet.. I think we should have a 3rd Celestial Nail (like one in dragonspine (Mond) & Chasm (Liyue) in Inazuma and it could be in Enkanomiya?

    I think the creepiest pre-3.0 location in Teyvat was definitely the unlocked secret room in the Nameless Ruins. Something about the desolate, ethereal soundtrack within the ruins, the disheveled appearance of the room behind the door, and that ominous letter is just strangely... terrifying. There are no monsters in this particular spot, but for some reason I never feel safe in that room...
    Ah, and I forgot to mention, I fully recreated the first theme from the Nameless Ruins (yes, I played the violin and piano parts for real!) a few months ago... here's the link!

      @obsidian9595 Před rokem

      @Lu M Oh, there's plenty! First of all, unlocking the secret room requires that you defeat all nine Black Serpent Knights throughout the Chasm: Underground Mines. Each of them has a unique dialogue as you approach and as you defeat them. Some of these Black Serpents speak of the fall of Khaenri'ah, or at least what remains of their memories of it when they were still human. But others of their rank can be found wallowing in patches of dark mud, and are implied to be echoing memories that are not their own (that's to say, they may not be talking about the disaster in Khaenri'ah, but instead of the Unified Civilization's downfall millennia prior... this is due to the fact that the dark mud is a manifestation of Ley Line energy leaking out and revealing memories to anyone who comes into contact with it). There's also a bit more: the materials that the Black Serpents drop are depictions of a one-eyed king, who, based on the Norse inspirations of the Kingdom of Khaenri'ah and its people, seems to match the description of a certain Odin from Norse mythology. Very interesting stuff!
      When you defeat all nine of them and obtain the Orbs of the Blue Depths, you can unlock the secret room at the far end of the Nameless Ruins' inverted city to find this letter, the complete version of which can only be found by piecing the readable fragments from various Travelers (in other words, multiple game accounts):
      "Not as if I were to be outfitted as that guardian of Khaenri'ah
      Not as if my destructive self were made to be the lyre of Barbatos
      Not as if I were to soar like a Pegasus
      Not if I were the swift, snow-white pair of Morphes
      Add these to the feather-footed and the winged
      And likewise, call for the swiftness of the winds
      And though you should harness these, friend, and offer them to me
      Yet I should be tired to the bone
      And worn away by frequent faintness
      My friend, while I would search for you
      The heavens fall to pieces
      And falsehoods collapse"
      It's a Genshin transcription of a work written by a real-life Roman poet named Catullus, and I find it especially notable that Barbatos, of all names, would show up here! Venti's looking to be a whole lot more than he seems...

    Wait, I've heard of Enkanomiya, but IDK where that is or how to get there- Someone please tell me if I can still get there
    I *love* the Chasm (Underground) and it's one of my favorite places in Genshin Impact, actually... I go in there for fun cause I love the atmosphere there
    Tsurumi island, hm? I haven't really done the quest to get rid of the mist there yet, and I might get to that some time soon
    My dislike and irritation with Dragonspine from lower ARs stayed with me TvT But I mean, it's still an interesting place and I enjoyed most of the World Quests there
    Oh yeah, the Secret Island... Eh, well, I don't really have much of a reason to go back there, so I get that it's forgettable for me
    Overall, exploring is my favorite thing to do in Genshin Impact, so I'm glad I had a lot of fun times with most of these places ^^
