I am a new fan, I just discovered this couple this February. I am not really a Kpop fan so I viewed the videos and stories with more objectivity. And since I am more advanced in years and more experienced in observing people, i will venture a theory. I think they were together since Dara's training days until 2013 - what Dara called Mutual Understanding. Jiyong in an interview said that he will leave it up to the girl to decide to go public or not. I think Jiyong got tired of hiding and wanted to go public but Dara was too scared (our timid rabbit). So they parted ways hence they could not even look at each other, such pain! this is the infamous year 2014 of Jiko and Nana. But I think in 2015 they got back together. In one of Jiyong's interviews he mentioned something about experiencing being apart only made one want to cling to the other. The songs he wrote in 2014 - If You, Untitled 2014 talked about wanting to go back to his original love. 2016 produced a lot of pictures of them together and the 2017 MOTTE Concerts I think clinched them as a couple in our mind. I dont believe all those dating rumors - Jiyong is too much of a gentleman to outrightly deny to save the other party's face but will eventually find a subtle way to debunk those rumors (as what he did to debunk Dispatch lie about Jennie - casually mentioning that he has lived in another residential location for more than a year already). Why am I following their story? Because there is something in the way that they look at each other, and the way Jiyong would touch Dara (contrasted with how he would interact with CL).
I agree!! Been watching a lot of videos where Gdragon and Dara are among the guests but I have never seen them talk like friends, there us always a safe distance between them. I've watched Dara interacting with Seungri and Taeyang and it seems like they're really close but I've never seen Dara and G-dragon interact like that. They always say that they are close friends even said that they are like siblings but I can't that side whenever they are together on-cam. I think that's what really keeping the Applers faith in them. I really can't explain but yeah I think they really are together if not then why are they being awkward on cam???
Yeah right.. also one thing I noticed the musical played by Dara is based of their true story.. secret contract for ten years and eventually got married.. I think if not this year maybe next year they will announce there wedding let's wait wait and hope🙏🙏🙏 I really wish them to be together.. love them both❤️❤️❤️

Agree! I think they started dating around 2012, then broke up in 2014, and got back together again in 2015? They've been on multiple trips together with some friends, and they are always the common denominators.
GD has been very bold lately, liking Daragon posts on IG. It's probably his way of confirming that they are a couple? They just need their privacy.

that's what makes it more interesting haha.. a lot of people are confused why DARA and GD won't talk to each other whenever there are live stages. If they really are close friends they could have talked to each other naturally like what normal friends do.. like CL and GD but thy're not. these are the times that seeing them together in one event, applers are really happy & contented with it, as long as we can see them in one frame. New fruits are so lucky nowadays esp during our OTP's reconciliation, their first trip ever without any members with them, just them & the squad. The cake shop event, the Joke thingy esp. during MOTTE in Manila, the IG live after the con, MOTTE in KL & that purple rose. Way back in 2012 when I became a Daragon fan, it is so hard for them to be seen interacting with each other in public, even having photos together, it will took 100 yrs before they can do it, but now? Post here, post there. Video greetings to each other, going out together in public (Jeju Island trip). geezzz.. I miss this era, where applers are all NBI wannabe's, investigating every single details about our OTP & it makes more exciting when we know they are really avoiding to be seen together in public. 😂 😂 😂

I honestly believed that Ji Yong liked Dara at some point but not strong enough to date her. I want to believe that daragon is real, if not, WILL be real, but I admit it's kind of impossible. They look good together, but if they're not meant to be, then they aren't. I wish happiness to the both of them.

July 2024, omg why I’m so obsessed with daragon after watching this video. I think they truly love each other but I’m sad that it seems it’s so hard for them to be together. Why ? Why ? Why ? i'm a daragon fan but i ship dara with every good looking idols. haha. I ship her with Wooyoung in the past but since they no longer have interactions I change to Donghae, Chanyeol and Yonghwa recently. I like Donghae the most for her cause it seems like he'd be a good boyfriend/husband. I like Chanyeol cause he obviously likes Dara.
