They started with having innocent as their concept but over time, gradually, you'll see the maturity in their sound. Apink and Mamamoo connections! - Wheein's girl crush is Apink's Bomi - Apink Chorong and Solar are both 1991 liners - Apink's Namjoo and Wheein are 1995 liners, which make them friends as well - Because of Chorong and Solar, Moonbyul and Bomi gradually became friends as well. The four even did a vlive together (Chorong and Bomi used to live together, and invited Moonbyul and Solar to their home) - Solar was in a camping show with former Apink member Naeun - Apink's Bomi and Wheein actually was together in a special performance once, and at present they got closer and Wheein even guested in Bomi's yt channel. - Solar and Apink's Eunji did some performances together with other main vocalists. (IF YOU WANT VOCALS FOR DAYS, TRY APINK TOO ESP EUNJI she is regarded as one of the best main vocalists and you'll know why once you hear her sing) - Moonbyul was in a singing competition called Second World, and Apink's Eunji is one of the judges in the show ^^ These are some of it. The fun thing is Both Moonbyul and Hwasa don’t in charge of high notes😂 When they sing or harmonize, Moonbyul and Hwasa usually do the lower range while Solar and Wheein do the high notes😂 Moonbyul’s have natural low tone so that’s why in the game her original position was at the beginning of the line. However intentional or unintentionally Moonbyul was the reason most of Gfriend were out😂

An idol show asked Gfriend to dance to their song at 2x speed as a prank, but they did it perfectly and accidentally invented the 2x dance challenge that went on for the next few years. After that fad died out Eunha and Umji went on a show and danced perfectly to their song Apple... blindfolded. A fair shake for Eunha: she is a small little bean, and also has a body forged by the gods. At various times she is incredibly cute or devastatingly sexy... except when she tries.
It's been said many times that Gfriend and Dreamcatcher were two sides of the same coin. Gfriend incorporated a lot of rock elements into their songs early on, but were much more innocent, upbeat, and pop sounding compared to Dreamcatcher's darker and more powerful soundscape (Fly High was closer to Gfriend's style). Both were dramatic, epic, and yet still elegant in a way. IMHO Gfriend, Twice, and Red Velvet (heavily inspired by Girl's Generation) defined the early 3rd gen Kpop sound that is probably what most people that are unfamiliar with Kpop think of when you mention Kpop to them.
Also, an interesting little unexpected... sort of interaction, but not exactly, is that wheein sang the demo for the song "fingertip" years before gfriend releases it. (Supposedly it was originally planned to be the group's debut song, but the label decided to shelve it for later)
