Hi friends! You ask for it! This is my review and swatches of the Hermes Eyeshadow Palettes: the Ombres d'Hermes. I will be doing swatches of 03 Ombres Fauves and 06 Ombres Mordorees as well as an application so you can get some inspo on how to use these palettes. All kinds of medals we're pinning on you Sofia, for taking one for the team...on this PRICEY set by Hermes. I might treat myself to the one that has the stunning gold shadow. Buy only because I know I'll get a lot of use out of it. My makeup budget is begging for mercy at this point 😂
I bought the one with the gold (Ombres Mordorees) and I love it! I wear the brown color for everyday and add the gold just above the pupil to dress it up a bit. I sometimes add the burgundy with the gold.
Not sure if it’s your eyes or brushes or even the luck, but the eyeshadows I tried were almost non pigmented and definitely no colour to see like on your eyes and demos 😭 would love to hear what is the closest formula you tried before as like many others can’t really afford all and Cle de peau is next on my list (if you think formula is better/same)
Maybe it’s the brushes and skill? I tried recreating so many of sofias looks and it takes me way more effort to get that level of pigmentation she gets right away, regardless of the palette used. I think I need to get some fancy brushes 😅
Was hoping you compare them with the Prada ones! What would you say about that? I really loved the Prada and I think nobody talks about them anymore

Same. I've really been enjoying the Prada ones and was hoping to hear more about Sofia's thoughts between the two. I wouldn't mind if she did an "luxury eyeshadow roundup" of Cle De Peau, Hermes, Prada, etc. at some point.
They look beautiful on u but i wish u used a bold color story like the blue or the neon pink one i want to see tutorials on that cuz i don’t want to pay on color story that i already have in at least 12 other owned palettes
I bought the peach palette and compared it with CHANEL tisse vendome palette and I like the CHANEL substantially more ,this one it looked too soft and the lightest shade was more crumbly on me, I am a medium tan skin tone and 58 years old. For the price it was a return for me. You made it look lovely! Even the shades were in the same order as the CHANEL palette.

Yay! 🥳🥳🥳 I’m so happy you decided to buy the palettes! 😁 You look stunning with both of them and they are very beautiful and pigmented. I can’t wait to see the other ones! The tip with using one like a blush is genius.🙂 I have Mordorees and love it. 03 is next on my list. I also want the one with blue accent. I like the packaging too but it seems is just you and me because the rest of the world hate it. In Australia is $175 each. 😳 The good thing is the refills will be “just” $90+. I tested the mascara and love it. I also like you can remove the mascara with warm water and actually is true. Of course is very expensive-$110 but Chantecaille mascara is $122.:)) I’m tempted to buy the eyelash curler (not available yet but I saw pictures) even I’m sure will be double/triple price in comparison with Chanel or Dior one.

I feel like some of the reviews I’ve seen have varied by color story, I assume every quad maybe has some different formulas? I loved the idea of the different textures being like their different fabrics, which sounded so fancy and curated. I just am not loving any individual color story $108 worth. With so many new releases, I feel like I have it all covered. So I think I’m going to wait and see if they come out with anything different in the future.
Ohlala, i love these🙈 my faves are ombre fumes, blue palette and fauve. Got all three (2 as refills). I think they are wonderful and ridiculously expensive.

I ended up buying multiple of these quads and I must say I'm extremely impressed by them - their quality, their color story and their wear. I think so far, these palettes are the best luxury quads released this year. Like impeccable! And we've had a LOT of luxury brands stepping up in their makeup this year so it wasn't easy to stand out.

Thank you, Sofia! These Hermes palettes are 140 dollars in Canada. So I'm definitely taken aback by that. I'm really attracted to #6. Love that colour story! It would be nice if Hermes did some limited edition packaging, because their palettes are fefillable.

Being $140 in Canada it took me a bit to hit the purchase button 😂I got the green and I love it. I have many many neutrals so I went for the bright color and I’m sure glad I did ! I love it and the neutral shades in this green palette look grey on me 👍🏼 i definitely cannot use mine as a blush but now I want the coral color you showed 🧡 great video !!

I love that darker palette, and I guess I've gotten used to the different shape pans because I no longer get irrationally angry when I look at them 😂 But the only way I could justify that price tag for only 4 eyeshadows is if it came in gorgeous, unique, luxe packaging, like some limited edition holiday collections do, so I hope they'll do that in the future since the palettes are thankfully refillable. But that price is frankly outrageous, I won't even pay full price for a Tom Ford quad so definitely not for this. And you can't even get it anywhere where you could get some money off during a sale or with a coupon / reward program points 🙁

I really appreciate how thorough and prepared and thoughtful you always are. I get so annoyed when other youtubers are reviewing a product and say they don't know, for example, a simple fact like the shade name or the price or where you can get it, when it's something they could so easily look up. If they're a very small channel, it's fine, but for people who do this as a job it just feels so lazy and unprofessional, even if they're someone I otherwise really enjoy. But enough about them, just wanted to express what a fantastic job I think you're doing!

Well, it’s Hermes first of all. And really. TOM FORD IS $90. Sooooo the price is for the name!!! I love the little brush. Ha ha ha. So cutie. Those shimmers shade are really pretty.

As i was thinking before, it just concluded , that No6 its going on my list, right after i purchase some skincare i need, and Chanel holiday collection🤪 Love using as a blush, it creates monochromatic look. I really like those, really a lot. I am happy about it. I was very disappointed by the Dior reformulation, so I am glad to see a new formula as a "substitute". I really want the green one, I think it's stunning. However, what you said makes a lot of sense, and it might be sensible to get a more every-day friendly one, like the coral one, which is my second favourite, from the photos. The colour looks really good as blush as well. I'll save up and will get at least one of those sooner or later.
I personally really like the shapes and think it is very Hermès. I ma glad they stayed a bit different, as they are as a Maison.

The colours are more stunning in reality than the photos show. Hope they do an eyeliner/eye pencil some time.
I love the look of these shadows! I like both looks on you! I think the first one was a little more dramatic, but what I like about how they looked on you, was how soft and smooth they look on your eyes…just got the YSL quad in Guerlaiz Dreams and that one is really nice too! Soft shadows! I just cannot spend that much on 4 shadows.. maybe if i can ever snag one on sale.. I’d pick up one of the two, probably the second one, for sure. Really nice looks!
Gueliz dream is beautiful. I’ve been using it non stop since August and have a big dip already. Enjoy it! I find that too many palettes make me not use treasures i otherwise would have loved. As in too many trees and you cannot see the forest.
I just picked up 3 of the new Cle de peau palettes and love all of them but I am tempted to get the Hermes palette with the coral shade. I was also looking at the YSL clutch palettes but even though it’s less expensive I am still leaning toward the Hermes. Thank you for your great review as always. Is there a compact powder with a more matte finish that you would recommend? Loved the Guerlain Les Voilettes but that has been discontinued .

I watched the video only because it’s you but honestly these palettes are not worth the price. I buy luxury, high end, indie brands and don’t mind paying the price if I think the product is unique and high quality but I think these don’t offer anything revolutionary or special. The only thing the price is covering is the name so I’ll pass. Thank you though for your thoughts and detailed review. Always greatly appreciated. 😊❤

Couldn't wait for this demo! So loved your Instagram sneak peek! Wish I could afford both but 03 is almost the same as the TRULY expensive Cle de Peau eyeshadow palette I purchased recently. I am getting used to expensive eyeshadow palettes at this point! 06 is stunning on you and that is the one I ordered. I love this look so much! Very similar to what can be done with TF Honeymoon.

You can use any eyeshadow as blush, bronze or contour as long as the color is right. You can use shimmers as highlighters. They are face powders. Nothing special here

I didn’t want to like these, darnit. The blush tip is a great idea! I think we’ve gone away from using products in different ways. When I was young, my lipsticks doubled as blushes! Great review, nice looks. Thanks!

What is the shelf life of these? I am intrigued, but I am not splurging on luxury palettes with a six month shelf life.
They look great on you but CDP quads or these ?
I'm just going to say something that irks me about these very highly priced luxury palettes is that they put the mini brushess, while brand's like Sigma put a full-size double sided brush in their palettes that are half of the price and the brush is actually convenient to use. For over 100+ you should be getting a proper makeup brush, if that is something a brand chooses to include with the palette.
This price is stretching it for a small quad, but I can be flexible! It’s Hermes! 😂 But I need something special in color story or formula to justify it. While these are certainly lovely and the looks you made were beautiful, I don’t see the color stories or formula as particularly unique. I could still be tempted, though, by the experience. But the layout seals it for me. 😵💫. If there was some order to it like “the mattes are all in circular pans” But it is visual nails on a chalkboard to me. So whew! I’m safe from these!
(I use shadows as blush all the time-especially when traveling! It ties it all together! You just need a very light hand! These look great as blushes!)
Yeah any eyeshadow can be used elsewhere in the face. It's really just common sense not anything unique to these shadows
@@exomake_mehorololo I think Sofia just mentioned that they work as blushes, as to say that the colours are suitable for blush colours and different skintones. I don't think she was suggesting it is something that can only be done with the Hermès eyeshadows.

These are $175 AU!!! I was able to get mine for $161.70 AU including tax on Selfridges but have noticed they've gone up since then on their site. I picked up Ombres Marine & Fumees. They're nice but I wasnt wowed, especially for the price point so I won't be buying any more. Beware that that deepest shade in Fumees is a dark grungy green which isn't a favourite on my eyes.

for the price I'd rather get Natasha Denona or Dior or Chanel, these look very meh

These shades were just right for you Sofia but everyone has reviewed these and maybe the green...no one has reviewed the 01 Petals!! Which is the only one i am interested in ☹️💞🩷💞
