We managed to snag ourselves 2 (SOLD OUT) Vibe Beach Club passes on the NCL Getaway!
At $129.00 per person we wondered if it was worth it and at well over $200.00 per person now would it still be worth it?
Watch till the end to see if you agree with my view.

Experienced the VBC on my first MegaShip, Breakaway about 5 years ago out of MIA. Fortunately, I had watched a cruiser video here prior to the trip, explaining to be at the port by 630. I DID and it paid off. We also were directed to the comedy club. It was like Willy Wonka's golden ticket getting that pass key card LOL
The lady in line ahead of me told me that if she didn't get access she was going to get off the ship. LOL Totally worth it... Booked on JOY with my mother and aunt in October 2024. I've also treated them to access passes--- You can now pre-purchase online like an activity! $ 777 for the three of us. It is so great-- feels like you are on a small yacht with friends, meanwhile 3000 people are down at the pool and from what I see the JOY pool is way too small since the ship was built for Asia which pools are not a draw. score!
Hey Darren. What a great story. Was exactly how it happened to us. I wish I would have had a video of me running to find the point of purchase. I’m sure it would have made for some great laughs. Unfortunately this was before I considered starting a vlog. lol
Since this trip we have pre-purchased the vibe in the NCL escape along with my Sister and her husband. AGAIN so worth the money. The pool deck was packed as was spice H2O. I should have a video out soon with an updates Vibe Beach experience.

On ncl prima we sail in January and just paid $234.00 per person to secure our spot on the vibe beach club in advance. Saves me from doing the running you had to do and almost missed out on. My feeling was, I do not travel with my now (adult) children, therefore I do not want to deal with other people's children. Just a place of the relaxation for my wife and I.
The Prima Vibe looks awesome! Kinda jealous 😁 We also have pre booked for our ncl escape in February. Paid $219 so the price must be ship dependant. Also, I totally get your reasoning for booking it😎👍🏻

Nice video and reassuring that we did the right thing. We purchased ours on line for the Joy leaving this Sunday for Bermuda. $229 person. Looking to get a cabana as well when we get on board.
Congrats!! Maybe think over the cabana. Not so sure we would get one. Personally we found the rest of the vibe enough but if you are set on it … enjoy!

I am cruising nov 28th and they're selling the passes online!! No more rushing to the boat. $269 for the whole week. I'll pay this for less crowding. I'll be curious to see how many people they fit up there and how crowded the bar will be. Will report back! Thank you for your video.
Hi Kristen, yes I did see that they are selling it online. And YES no more rushing!! I was told you can book it 120 days. (But) We are cruising in Feb and I just went into the app the other day and there it was! Booked it for $209. I wonder why yours was more?

I always bought Vibe passes when on ships that have it. I used to get to the port early because if your not in the first few groups to board they would be sold out. usually by group 3. I think they started out at $80 PP. I think it's now $250 which is a little steep and my decision might be based on how full the ship is

Sorry. I just realized you which video you commented on. You’re talking about the NCL getaway right? Yes those cabanas are cool but not sure they’re worth it and I think they’ve reconfigured the Vibe Beach club since I was on it. Either way… the Vibe is well worth it , at least we thought so😁

06Mar22 won't come too soon! I'll be on the Getaway. The only reason I would get the Vibe would be if they had their own pool! Hot tubs too small
Yes it would be nice if they had a pool. The main deck pool was SO CROWDED that I only went in it once. Also, the free adult area Spice H2O does not have a pool. But the hot tubs ( there were 2 of them ) were never crowded. The capacity of the vibe was kept very low and never felt crowded. That being said they have made some changes since I was on it and perhaps it’s a different experience now.

Did you check out the thermal spa? Would you always choose the vibe beach club over the thermal spa?
No I’m sorry. I didn’t check the thermal spa but it’s not something I’d usually do. It’s my understanding that NCL has some really nice thermal spas though. I would probably always choose the vibe because we like our space and the ability to escape the crowds. We get free thermal spa access on Celebrity but we never go. It’s just a matter of what’s important to you. If you have the means… why not do both? 👍🏻 enjoy!

On my last cruise, Mexican riviera October 2019 on the NCL Bliss, we were booked in a spa cabin and also got the vibe beach club cabana. It was THE most divine and relaxing thing I have ever done toggling back and forth between the vibe and spa. We didn’t do excursions we were just there to chill and it was worth every cent. We are getting on the Bliss again 5/28/22 and I am still on the fence about whether I will try to get the Vibe, because I don’t know what to expect with Alaska weather

Hi Lee,
Yes you are right. No pool and only hot tubs. I believed on the newest ships (NCL Prima, Viva and Aqua) they do have a pool in the vibe.
If you watch my latest Videos on the NCL Escape you’ll see they also have “cool misters” (which we loved 👍🏻)
A pool would be nice but we did not miss it. It’s a just great knowing you have a space away from all the crowds. Plus the great service from the staff up there. They really make it special. 👍🏻😎
Have you been on Independence of the Seas? My first cruise experience it was awesome!!!
Yes. We were on the INDY in February of 2020. We did a short cruise before walking over to the Celebrity Equinox.

@@PhilCatsea I don’t think it’s a “thing” I just made it up. Been in 16 NCL cruises and got vibe 16 times. When I went up to Vibe I always said hello to everyone at the bar by greeting with “hello Vibe Tribe! “

There are a lot of stairs to get up there. We did sail the getaway quite a while ago so I’m kind of fuzzy on the details but I don’t remember an elevator. That being said we did a recent trip on the NCL ESCAPE with vibe access ( video to come ). There was one elevator that went to the vibe deck (17?) but only one. I don’t see an elevator listed on the the Getaway or ESCAPE deck plans but the ESCAPE definitely had one. So I assume the getaway had one too?

@@PhilCatsea no the haven doesn’t get it …. I didn’t have to go and get the ticket though , I guess they have a few spots in the beach club blocked off so it the cruise director or captain wanted to give them out .

Do you have to purchase for each person? I was told the cost was based on the # of days on the cruise???
Hi Tess, I’m not 100% sure on buying for each person? I would think not because it’s and adult area and if you had kids with you, you wouldn’t pay for something they can’t use. In saying that, if anyone out there has a concrete answer for Tess please chyme in. 😎
I also would imagine that number of days ( and ship ) would be a factor. One of my viewers ( see the comments ) just purchased one for Nov for $269. I just bought ours for Feb for $209. Also, I believe day passes are $99 each if available. Since the area is limited capacity that might be a risk.

Worst 7 days of my life were on this ship. Too crowded, too many unsupervised kids , bad service, didn’t find out about vibe till last day of cruise. Not one day in the pool or hot tubs , too crowded. Never will I cruise NCL again.
That doesn’t sound like a good experience. I do agree with you on the overcrowded pool(s) and hot tubs. That’s why we were so grateful we bought the vibe pass. I think it would have been a totally different experience if we had not. We are going to try NCL again next year, so fingers crossed. 🤞🏻Best of luck on your next cruise.

What cruise are you going on with kids out of school that’s not going to crowded around the pool areas and anywhere else on a ship? Let’s be realistic! Go on an an all adult cruise instead and stop complaining!
Are you talking to me? I don’t think I mentioned anything about kids? I was saying how overcrowded the pools and hot tubs are but with adults not kids. The open decks are not designed very well for the number of passengers. But the Vibe is adult only and we gladly paid extra for it and the extra space. So no complaints here. 👍🏻
