      @@glenmcgillivray4707 Venetian Arsenal is very situational and depends on the map type. On maps like Archipelago, it pretty much wins you the game because you can crank out so many naval units so quickly. This is especially useful as Pedro for the Minas Gerai

    I like the fact that his recon units got send to war when chariots were the tech, but before they reached the enemy they were catched up by airplanes. (or would be if we played this out)
    It's a bit like "what would you meet when you send out an interstellar starship to another system a few light years away? Probably people from your own planet, who went generations after you but got there first because they had better tech.

      @@antoninasienczuk6590 it did, just not in a way italian journalist misunderstood the events and later on became german propaganda.
      Several Pz.1 light tanks armed with machine guns arrived as reinforcements to the position that polish cavalrymen decimated before that and they've caught them loading back on horses and ready to fallback ie with their pants down. Polish soldiers could neither fight back(some are already mounted and weapons are packed), nor retreat(a lot of them are still dismounted and are away from horses) at that moment.

    I did this on a Standard sized map, and won on turn 80 exactly 1 turn before the Classical Era ended, and the only cities left were 3 German cities. It was insane fun. Having Hercules build 4 commercial hubs and 2 Harbors helped a lot with gold, especially since I spawned in tundra and didn't have particularly good tiles for my first two cities to work.

    How about a game of Hungary, Secret Societies, and Himiko? Use the early governor promotions to get temporary suzerainty over City States. Leverage their militaries for free and conduct some extremely early wars.

    Inspired by this I did a large map with Tribal Villages only on ocean tiles (play Strategic View so that you can see them) and rolled Kupe. I took Voidsingers and the religious belief that gives you double faith & tourism for relics. Won a Culture Victory on Deity on Turn 61, 1560 BC.

      Unfortunately they cannot get techs beyond ancient era, and goody huts in civ5 dont give you recon units (or any units for that matter)

    Potato, have you considered doing a deity score victory? It's much more of a passive, defensive game as you can't let the AI get too far ahead in their own science/culture/religion, but you also can't get accelerate your own improvements otherwise you risk winning the game another way.

    RSI is caused by repeated motion. Carpal tunnel is from pinching the carpal tunnel in your wrist against a sharp corner like a desk, gradually creating numbness and pain in your hand. With good posture gamers aren't at risk for carpal tunnel.
