Princess Jasmine Live Action Model reference for Animators (Aladdin, 1992)

Who would have thought Princess Jasmine’s animator Mark Henn’s sister, Beth Allen, is who he mainly based her face on? They say that inspiration can come from unlikely places, and Jasmine is no exception!

the combo of just an animator's sister modeling out of the goodness of her heart and Linda Larkin providing the voice (both white) kinda tells me this isn't quite something that would or should be cancellable, if it was ever brought to the public eye. Kinda glad about that in the animated sense because honestly, it still delivered the intended effect! People loved the character and only improvements can start from something of a foundation. these are great vids you're providing

Well people did try to cancel it when it came out, one of the original lines in the movie was changed because it was racist/anti Arab
