I have one with the serial number of 00395 does that mean it’s older of newer? It also has a different logo from the ones present here, it’s the white one but color swapped, white on a black backround.
I think that was in between the two. The earliest I've seen with the white label is 1988. Your's is likely from between 1982 and 1988 and made in Hong Kong.
I've bought at least 8 vintage pignose amps ranging from $20 to $80 on Ebay. They slip through for cheap prices if you know what you're looking for, which now you do.
Really, there cheap asf shitty little praccy amps. The older ones have some mojo in them but the newer ones are crap. Get a blackstar fly 3 if you need a tiny travel amp. Cheaper and better sounding though admittedly nowhere near as cool.
Do you know how to decode the serial numbers? I just got a red stripe pignose and the serial is 25325. There was no date stamped on the inside of the back by the preamp out jack either.
It's safe to say that it's from the mid to late 70s. The serial numbers go in chronological order. I had one that was in the low 40000s and it had a date stamp of March 1981 iirc.

Actually if you can open it, it's easy to see the new ones. They have extremely sloppy job with the vinyl cover. Most come totally unglued and looking like a mess.

Surprised you didn't mention the patent sticker that some have above the cord bracket on the non speaker side.

You can change the speaker. Whether it'll sound better is a matter of personal taste.
@@GamingPlus10 i got the small jensen speaker in both my (vintage) Pignoses. I think it improved the sound.
