Super super cool! Love the idea of using aluminum waste as a decorative feature; I think it would have worked better if you’d incorporated chunks of it into the wood on top to make it look more cohesive

Personally i would have had a wooden base, just to carry the effect through (even if it was a different kind of wood) but apart from that, this is an amazing, beautiful bit of work yet again. Well done 👍🏽

the table top looks great, but personally i didn't like the base, the squareness and material didn't match with the more organic design of the top. i think i would be interesting if the base looked like a volcano or a crater. anyway just a suggestion. it's still nicer than my work

LEDs should be arranged below the base. Something similar to inverted high bay lights. Strip lights are highly prone to failure and in this case irreplaceable. Without lighting it would become less impactful.

That's really cool. The only thing I probably would've done differently is I would've set the LEDs color to either yellow, orange or amber. The white is just a little too bright and lava doesn't tend to get hot enough to glow white. But other than that, it's very beautiful work. Plus the white could feel a little bit obnoxious by anyone actually sitting at the table. So I would make that change as much for comfort as I would the aesthetic.

Почему-то кажется, что это просто дополнение к основе, так скажем основа это сам стол(верхняя часть) да и внимание заострено не на этой части, а на верхней, да и при выключенном свете в помещении стол выглядит шикарно и основу не видно из-за яркости светодиодов через камни..

Absolutely beautiful table. Looks like real lava flow. Only thing with the LED lights looks like they are imbedded into the epoxy. I'm thinking if the lights ever went bad it would nice to be able to replace them from underneath the table. One of the best epoxy tables and videos videos I've seen yet.

It's construction foam with some silver spray paint, I doubt that things gonna last any longer than a week or two

This is an absolutely incredible and amazing project!! You are such talented artists, and such an inspiration for us! You always come up with such fantastic ideas. Using the expanding foam to fill the gaps between the aluminum was a great idea. Where do you get your beautiful wood? You use it for so many of your projects, you must have a ready supply available. Thank you for another great video!
Finding the wood is not difficult at all - you just have to source it yourself.
Trees are always being cut or plowed or blown over... if you have someone who knows wood keep an eye out for them, a single tree could yield hundreds of workable pieces if given to a decent lumber cutter. Old maple on my land blew down after drought killed. Guy came by a couple weeks later and wanted to buy the whole tree for 'craft' lumber. Took him like 4 or 5 years to use up the whole tree but some of the pieces he turned out were absolutely stunning. I saw one table he built using the roots - priced at almost $10k. I sold him the tree for $500... *D'oh!*

for decent amount yes. but again, if tree fell down and you need to get rid of it from your property, then $500 is fair price i think but if selling as raw material, then has higher value...
well, you were smart to sell it for that much, if you sold it for a higher price, no one would have bought it, and you'd be stuck with a tree. A tree in itself isn't a valuable commodity. Unless we're talking a 20 ton tree of the forest. It's the artist who puts time, and skill into it that makes the piece valuable, and its undeniable that a true artist can make works of great beauty.

Heat is an led's only enemy. Being trapped in the epoxy, 10 minutes is about as long as you could keep on.

Out of all of the things I've watched you make, I think this is my favorite. What a great idea using the leftover residue from the smelters. I assume that was literally trash to them. Did you paint the entire base with silver paint or just spot paint over the foam? Beautiful table. What talent you two have! Thank you!

great work!!! just refining if you decide to build one in the future: 1) put the glass shards in a concrete mixer with ball bearings and sand, to give it a rough finish, 2) and color the epoxy transluscent red and orange and yellow tints to pour inbetween the "hot lava coals" to merge them looking like real lava and also it will completely block out the LED strip so that you cannot see it, but the light will not be blocked, 3) do the whole table like it, the legs too, so that it looks like one volcanic table....... i like your work, i just thought wood suits wood better and metal suits metal better don't put the two together, but what you did is amazing anyhow and i love it!
