Hi friends! Leave a comment letting me know which card is your favorite. :)

Note: this technique will work with toner or transfer foils. It will not work with foil meant for hot foiling.
thanks so much for showing this technique to us !
Hi al of them are so beautiful i have al the colors of foil art i buy them abouth 4jears ago
I can't choose a favorite all of them are gorgeous 🥰 thanks for sharing 💖
The first card with the stencil is my favorite. I think I'll be investing in some of these stencils/ stamps/ dies sets.
Hi Simon, fantastic video as always, thank you! I know I'm a little late to the party and I hope you see this comment. I was just wondering why you chose clear embossing powder instead of Rangers Sticky embossing powder? I purchased the sticky embossing powder and tried it once but I didn't get great results. I'm definitely going to give your method a try, looks fantastic! However I was wondering if you've tried the sticky embossing ink from Ranger; and if so how your experience was with it? Thanks so much.
FYI: If you can't afford a MINC or any other tool, don't give up. I use my old iron. Works just fine.
How high do you turn up the iron?
Simon, I love that you share ALL the secrets!! Thank you!! Your talent is unmatched...well JM is right there with you ..but it's JM!!🤣
It was the 1st time I saw that technique. I have been stamping for 30 + yrs & you still can learn something. You also explain things so well. Thank you so much. I will make sure I follow you! Dee
I actually tried this out today. Worked like a charm. I am so pumped about this I can't even. Thanks Simon for this awesome trick!
Wow 🤩 another amazing video from you ! You inspire us all but especially my little guy Carter . He is 6. He loves loves loves your stamps . The trampoline jumping critters and superhero 🦸♀️ set and he has so many others from your collection . I have a large stamp room and Carter has a desk next to mine . He die cuts , inks and blends . Tim even sent him some dies and his favorite is the dinosaur dies ! It was so cute 🥰
He is new to foiling . We are learning how to be safe :)
I can’t wait to show him this video when he gets home from school !! With a little help from mom :)
I think we will be foiling soon
Thank you 😊 you are awesome
You’re a really thorough teacher!! Thank you
Beautiful cards. Loved all of them. All the way from ireland.
Can't give you a favorite because I loved all of them.
I have a Minc machine, but always using the toner method wasn't as easy as this. Thank you for your tips and tricks. Also, never thought to use my rotatory cutter for cutting the foil. Brilliant!
Oh my gosh I am astonished... I think I like your foil rainbow background. Whenever I get an oops on my card I always say `Now I know where my sentiment is going.`! Thank you for the inspiration Simon! I am officially floored
😅😊
Fantastic! I have a Minc I have never used. 🙈 I recently pulled it out, trying to think what I would make with it. Now I have a project to use on it LOL. Well, once I can get to the foiling sheets. Forgot to dig those out at the same time.
I really enjoyed all the examples. The first one was so beautiful, but the last one was beautiful AND simpler to do.
Thanks Simon, you’re helping to inspire me to get back to crafting. 😁
You’ve opened up a whole new shiny world! 💜 This is awesome!
Wow! Just Wow!! All 3 cards are great, love the tone on tone inking. I feel like I have just been handed a gift that does not require me to invest in a hot foil plate and aaallll the dies that would surely need to follow… at a time when I can’t afford to anyway. I can’t wait to get out my embossing powder and try this! Thanks SO much Simon for your always inspiring and positive videos. 🙏🏼😀👍🏻💗🌸
Oh my goodness you’ve got to be kidding me? I am going to my art studio!!! I am so excited!!! Thank you Simon!! ☺️
These cards are all beautiful. These foiling techniques seem easy enough. I shall definitely try these methods. I absolutely love the last card. Foiling then inking. Tone on tone gives a very subtle look to your card base. Thank you for another wonderful video 💖
FANTASTIC video! You are a crafting genius, a prodigy! I have never seen anything like it. What a marvelous way to extend the application of supplies we already have : ). You are so talented and creative. Thanks for sharing with us. All of the cards you created are absolutely stunning.
That coloring on the flowers is amazing! I love that stamp/stencil combo! Great job!!
Thank you for demonstrating this clever foiling technique. I loved all the cards. Your ink pads are dynamic. The colors are so vibrant.
You amaze me every time… love them all. I think the last one was my favorite. The tone on tone backgrounds really make the focal points pop. Great job as always!😎❤️
I so appreciate that you are totally technic driven, I forget sometimes that I knew one, then I see you doing it and want to go back and use my stuff
I am new to making cards. My jaw dropped so many times watching your video, which I watched 4 times.
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful cards and letting us know a simple yet easy way. Each card is exquisite 🥰
I love everything you do Simon. Thank you for going into details while you are showing us all how to use foil. You’ve given me the inspiration to try so much more with my cards instead of doing my plain Jane cards, I now feel a little more confident to try some of the things you show us how to do. I can’t pick favourites cos I love them all equally. I am hooked on your videos and I go looking for them now.
Fantastic cards...seems so simple, yet so beautiful. I'LL give it a try this evening. THANK YOU,
This is brilliant! I too have felt that I was missing out but getting a foiling machine. Going to try these for sure! Thanks Simon
The first and second ones were my favorite. The first due to the shading with the foiling and the second due to the different colors of foiling on the same card, that was really cool. Thank you so much for this great tip, esp since I had been debating getting a Hot Foil System.
Unsure if someone else said this, but don't waste your foil by throwing it away. Especially on the card that was stamped edge to edge. Either use a laser print to print a solid shape like a heart and then place in carrier sheet and foil. Can also black emboss solid shape and do same process. You'll have black background with bright foil texture in a reverse of original stamp. 😊 thank you for great post!
I haven't done any stamping in years. Seeing this has made me wonder why. I loved stamping and card making. I must re-create the space to do it!!
Subscribed.
WOW, Simon! The possibilities are endless. Thank you for always bringing amazing ideas and techniques. You are BRILLIANT 😻
WOW, that’s a fabulous technique!!!! Being able to easily foil with my stamps using embossing powder is awesome, thanks 👏
Thank you so much for sharing this!! I love foiling and this will definitely up my usage of my supplies. I really liked all your cards, but the 2nd one with the 3 different flowers is something I want to try to do successfully. Thanks for inspiring!
This is amazing! I thought only toner reacted to stick that foil to it! Thank you!
Love how you made the stencils more structurally sound, especially for inking. Some of my favourite stencils aren’t good for inking.
Great idea using the foil with the embossing powder, and your flowered cards came out so beautiful! Thank you Simon.
I can’t pick a fav they all were. My mind is blown 🤯 from all the tips & techniques in this video.. Young man I’ve watched you grow up and mature. You’re a very talented creative genius🤗
Awesome video! I love your positive attitude and your products are superb. I love your demo of various tools, too. I never seen this Minc used before, but I can see it handy for me. I fell in love with foiling when I learned how to do it with my cricut machines. Happy crafting and card making.
Thanks Simon, I love both cards, they are awesome. I love it, I don't have to investment the foiling machine and the dies to go with it. Spend my funds to something else. You are genius.
Simon, it’s impossible to pick a favorite. I was oooing and ahhhhhing through the entire video. Every one was gorgeous, loved the shine and sparkle. You are so amazing. Thank you for sharing💙
The rotary trimmer is a game changer! Thanks for all the inspiration, your cards are beautiful : )
your last one was wonderful as they all were..... never wrong with flowers!
I just bought my first minic laminator and needed a tutorial on how to foil my stamped images. Thank you Simon for helping me!!!
This is such a game changer! While I don't have a Minc machine, I do have a laminator I use for toner foiling. I can't wait to play around and see if this technique works with that too. Thank you so much for showing this. I liked the 1st card you made with the slimline stamp and matching stencil set. So gorgeous.
I love the idea of foiling with your stamps. That first card is awesome. Now I will finish warching the video
Thank you Simon! I hadn't want To pull the plug on a foiling machine. You gave me inspiration
oh these are so springy and cheerful! I always love seeing what you do!
My very favorite scissors for fussy cutting. Love the the cards, but the last one is the best. Thank you for showing how simple this is. 👏🏻❤️👏🏻
I like all of them, but my favorite is the first one. I like off set designs, and it's so bright and cheerful. Thank you for sharing.
I totally didn't know you could use your heat embossing ink and clear embossing powder in this way! I have tons of toner foil and thought I'd never be able to use them all. This is fantastic! Thank you!
Me too... I have like 20 rolls of the foil and the minc, even bought a cheap laser printer to use with it, but had no idea I could use it with embossing powders!
@@Indiartworks I have discovered it is kinda hit and miss with my success. I did it the first time with great results. Tried it again on a different occasion and my results were less than stellar. But I probably just need to play more with it.
Yep....learned this technique many many years ago...but it's not always all that successful. Found this technique better to used as highlights on a stamped image, then if it doesn't quite work, it really doesn't matter! Think about it, if it worked really well all the time, then we wouldn't have the Glimmer type machines which really do a beautiful job.
I did it the first time with great success, and then the next time, it looked like trash, but it is still worth giving tries. I love the idea of using it to highlight sentiments.
I love all the cards. So beautiful! I didn't think you could ink over foil - it looks so amazing!
Simon thank you so much for this video, I love that now I can foil my cards without buying all the machines, and plates... Your cards are just stunning, I couldn't pick a favorite! Thank you again.
I love the last one and those are your stamps that I have ordered and will arrive tomorrow!! I can’t wait to try this technique!! Thanks @Simon Hurley!!
Beautiful, stunning cards! Thanks for this lovely demo....I love your cardmaking ideas, dear Simon!
I just saw this, and it’s a technique. I’m really wanting to get into. Thank you so much! I love this! I definitely need to follow you more! And I hope I can get all of the products. It is 2024, mid year and I hope everything still exists. Have a wonderful day!
Wow, a couple minutes into your video and I have already learned two brand new things! I had no idea you could foil with embossing powder done on paper thru stamped images. That turned out amazing. This is truly a game changer in my mind. This allows us to use all of our stamps to foil with and that opens up a new inventory for me to foil with.
I never ever thought to use a rotary cutter for foil as well. Brilliant!
Loved the trio of flowers
I can't pick a favorite. I'm so excited to find out that you can do this. Thanks Simon!
Love the first card the most. So pretty and easy to do
Thanks Simon! I didn't know that I could foil heat embossed images!!! I am so excited. I loved all the cards you made. Thanks for the tips on foiling too!!
This is blowing my mind! I can't believe I missed this the 1st time. Those flowers w/the different foils are insane! You've made me look at foils in a whole new light and now I feel I can do them. Wow!!!!
You are so creative Simon! I love your foiling method! Thank you for showing us how easy it can be. And now we have endless stamps that can be foiled!! My favorite is ALL of them 😍
I love heat foiling with my Minc machine and your cards and techniques are beautiful.
Are you kidding me???? You can foil with just clear embossing powder???? And the rotary cutter for the foil. Wiping brain matter off the wall right now.
Lol
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣Exactly!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
I bought a bonding powder embossing because I tried with reg embossing and it did nothing! What did I do wrong?!
@@marionking57 Hmm, I'm not sure. Are you using deco (not glimmer) foil, shiny side up? It worked for me with embossing powder. I've never had luck using bonding powder.
Beautiful cards. I love the first one and the last one. I have never used foiling like this. So pretty.
Something that I find helps when laying card stock down on background stamp ( because I saw someone else do it) is to lay a scratch piece of paper on top and then apply pressure. It lessens the chance of the paper moving. After watching the entire video I think my favorite is still the first card, but it is so hard to choose. Thanks for the video.
You just took foiling to a whole other level! My mind is racing with ideas now. Great tips and techniques. TFS 🎨
Whoa, this is a total game changer! Thanks for sharing this! I honestly don't know which card I like best, they're all gorgeous!!!
Oh my.....I loved them all...My greedy art brain can't chose one! I love foiling....however your coloring those areas just added a whole new SWEET SUMMERY TWIST.
I love your eye for composition Simon. All three cards are beautiful, but I chose the third card. The foiled florals dazzle while the split background really showcases them. I also like the look of easy inking. I must say, you sure are the master of fussy cutting! Nicely done. Thanks for sharing your techniques.🌷🌷
I liked the last card most. I have been frustrated with cutting the foil so I am eager to try the roller cutter!! Great tip.
WHOA ok looks like I discovered a whole new craft that's going to take all my money. Never seen this before but it looks awesome, going to have to learn more about this for sure!
Oh my you are sooo talented!!! I so want to start making cards and you explain it so we’ll. It’s hard to pick a favorite, but I LOVE the last one. Just beautiful!!!
I loved all the cards but the one I love the most was the first one you did, the colors are so vibrant. Thanks for sharing your tips in this video, have a great day‼️ 😊😊
These are beautiful cards. My favorites are the 1st and the last one. The foiling came out really nice. I'm definitely going to try this.
OMG! Amazing! It is hard to pick a favorite, but the first one - I love the colors you used on the flowers. I am so excited for this new technique to foil images! Thanks for sharing that! I can’t wait to try it out!!! ❤️
Gorgeous cards! Love them all! Thank you for sharing, love this "how to"💖
Beautiful! Have not yet ventured into the "foil world" yet. Still learning about all the different types. So keep the videos coming. Appreciate your talents!
The last one is my favorite.
Wow! How easy is that? I never knew you could fill this way. Time to give it a try. I love your layering stencils that match your background stamp set. Great idea. Make more of these.
Now that is a tip I can wrap my head around and make use of! Thanks Simon. Much appreciated.
This is awesome! I’m looking forward to trying this. On a side note, I use a Ranger mini rotary cutter. It folds up to protect you from the blade and barely takes up any space. I have two of them. One lives in my foil tote box and the other one is in my Foilpress tote bag.
The cards are beautiful. The last one was my favorite. Can’t wait to try this technique.
Awesome cards, Simon! I can’t pick a favorite. I love them all! I guess I’m going to get my foiling out today! I haven’t foiled in awhile! I love the stamps you used too. I have a couple of them. Thanks, Simon!
They are all my favorites!! You are such an awesome teacher.
I think these are some of my favorite cards you’ve made! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much Simon. I am so darn excited to try this!!!
What a fantastic technique, im so pleased you shared. I too have a minc that’s not been out of the box. I can’t wait to get up tomorrow morning & try this.
My favourite card was the trio of flowers. I also need those fiskars scissors you’re using, they look fab. Thank you so much, I can’t wait to watch your other video xx
Thanks so much for this great foiling video, I luv all the cards their awesome. Your teaching is so nice and easy to follow with still getting straight to the point. Now I can play with my Minc and foils I have! Thanks again Simon!
I'm going to try this tomorrow. Being able to foil just about any stamp is a real game-changer. Your results were impressive.
Look at you Simon getting in the foiling world. Nancy would be so proud. :) Very nice cards.
All of the cards are my favorite. Keep up the gorgeous work.
Simon, I can't THANK YOU enough for this video. I am new to foiling and was having trouble adjusting my new Heidi Swapp Minc machine to the right level for even "no gap" foiling. Your suggested level of "2" on the foiling machine did the trick! I had been setting my level to 3 and above, as recommended by another crafter, which did not work well for me. I set the level to 2 and heat embossed AND used a toner/laser graphic and both worked perfectly! Thank you so much. And I loved the first card you created and the techniques you used the best.
Sensational! Who knew that you could foil stamped images?! Thanks Simon for this video.
Absolutely gorgeous cards Simon! I really love each one. Great video.
I loved the first card. I never knew how foiling worked. Now I want a machine to try out your methods! All of the cards are beautiful.
Brilliant.Just brilliant. Thank you so much for sharing this technique. I'm anxious to give it a try. Thank you again!
I loved all of the cards and your video just reminds me of all of the techniques that are possible! Thank you Simon!!!
Great cards. I love the way you used the foil with embossing and the mink.
Hi Simon, your cards are all gorgeous, I love the effect of the foiling
It wasn't just because it was in last but I'm totally in LOVE with the Missing You card!! Great job ßimon 👍💙👋
SOLD! Thank you! I didn't want to spend a ton on the Glimmer Foil system for a few foiled sentiments. This is a game changer for me!
Hmm, I just tried this and it did not work! I was so hopeful! It did foil my embossing powder, but it foiled the paper around it too! I tried every setting on my Minc machine. So disappointed! I used 100lb card stock paper. What paper did you use Simon?
