Jameel Khan comes forward to say that he deliberately planted Lucy in the Qestrel office and encouraged her affair to get evidence of the firm's illegal dumping of toxic waste in Africa, collected by a ship called the Agadir. Will makes full use of this at Martin's trial.
Though he looks like a perfectly happy and successful man, defence barrister William Travers has yet to recover completely from a traumatic series of events that left him without faith in the legal system. Despite this, he returns to the courtroom when an old friend, Martin Newall, finds himself facing murder and conspiracy charges while being investigated by spiteful detective DS Mark Wenborn. This psychological thriller examines morality and the question of what a defence barrister is to do after finding out that his client is guilty.

All 5 episodes just fantastic, at the very end a number of surprises. All my judgements and emotions were full on, and the teapot helped to wash down the adrenalin, one cuppa after another.

Very good drama with suspense through out and holds the viewer from episode to episode. Again demonstrating the obvious skills level of the British story telling and presenting as compared to the over the over the top juvenile approach usual in American amateurish drama. This as an American presentation would be guaranteed rubbish, Over cost over acted and over their ability. Thank you Brits. Let's have more of this intelligent viewing please !

I agree, but its interesting that for all Travers' preaching about the truth, he's really just a vigilante. Vigilantes always believe that what they think is right, and rationalize taking matters into their hands instead of the courts. Let's all do that!

Just tap yr finger on the words..."real drama " and all 5 episodes will come up (and many other different dramas).... make sure you get the ones in their right order.... the problem is the episodes aren't numbered, they go by title, each episode has a different title.... quite confusing!

I just pretty much want them all to go down except for the alleged criminals and the female attorney. That would be Justice. I am all too familiar with injustice.
