I am worried..Why are they selling Partey? We need 4 CDMs...Partey, Jorginho,Rice plus a new signing!
Assuming we have 250 mil budget (factoring in sales, doesn't look too unrealistic based on last season spending) I would love to see Fofana from Monaco, rumoured to be available for around 20 to 25mil, the Turkish left back for around 30ish (this would allow timber to give break to White, or anyone else in the backline, but also I think Arteta can try him as a 6, so extra midfield cover in extreme circumstances.) Also Raya will be paid for now, so that's 27mil there. We need another GK so maybe we are looking at 15mil there. I would love Sesko for 54mil. So that's 4 players for about 150--160mil, that leaves us with good 100mil to either get Hato, another winger or maybe another midfielder, Ederson from Atalanta seems like a beast and fits the profile Arteta likes to use. Also Timber is pretty much a new transfer coming into the new season. After we draw the line, we can get 5 to 6 new players in for about 250-260mil, unless we get finessed during the negotiations.

There are a of of players that have very high release clauses - unfortunately clubs have to meet their profit and sustainability targets so I think unless player prices come down, clubs will eventually only be able to afford 1 star player per window

Partey has to leave because we simply can't rely on him. Signing a 100m striker is just not what we need right now.
The reality is that there is always a huge risk when signing players, especially strikers. The more expensive they are, the greater the risk.
Isak or Gyökeres for a 100m plus is a massive risk. Havertz playing so well means we have flexibility in who we target.
So instead of a 100m gamble, we can target a 20 year old with a huge ceiling for half the price.
Adding in player sales we could have 200-250m available for new signings. Wasting 100m on one player simply isn't worth it. 😂❤

Stupid Arsenal execs - you lower Partey's and Lokonga's transfer fees when you declare early that they are no longer needed. Pretend to still want the players - to make their suitors want to pay more!
