  • We unbox and review Toor Knives' new limited edition, "Blood Red" variant of their popular Krypteia fixed blade. The Toor Knives Krypteia is a singular purpose knife built with the warfighter in mind. These are built and manufactured from the ground up in the Toor Knives facility in San Diego, California.
"As a concealable blade with a low profile KYDEX® sheath, our Krypteia has a proven track record of versatility and protection. Whether being used as a policing tool on the streets or tucked into the gear of a modern-day operator, this knife provides peace of mind and continues to be one of our all-time best sellers.
Additionally, it’s fitted with a textured handle, that includes a thumb ramp with jimping for reverse drawing the blade, and a lanyard hole for retention cords. The blade is flat- ground almost all the way to the spine, which provides a razor edge and increases sharpening life.
Every Krypteia is Made in the USA and includes a black Tru-Hide KYDEX® sheath, which is compatible with any of our sheath mounts." - Toor Knives

This is a really cool piece. I have heard mixed reviews on the QC from this brand, but they are fairly new, and offering some enticing options. Definitely hard use tactical, but this could almost be an EDC, although I don't usually EDC a fixed blade linger than 7.5" overall, and I try to keep the weight under 10 Oz. The scales are gorgeous. I like the Jank Shank size for EDC, bit the edge geometry does not lend itself to slicing tasks, so I would need a slim folder to pair with it, which I don't mind, but I'd rather have something that can stand alone if I'm gonna drop over 120 bucks. I hope this brand dials it back a bit with the monster thick blade stock, and shows us something light with a thin grind and overall EDC like dimensions. Still very cool. Thanks for sharing.

It’s a really epic blade. Toor is a young company and are well on their way into a legendary knife manufacturer. 🇺🇸

Seems like a nice railroad spike that you can possibly cut things with.

The Krypteia is a coffin nail and a great knife. Toor has some incredible options. They are a veteran owned company and all of their knives are made right here in the USA.

I can say one thing. These things are a pain to sharpen. You're never going to shave with it due to it being so thick. I do like the way it feels in my hand.

Poor finish seems to be a recurring theme. Cool knife, though. Never enough knives.
