One of my favorites! Always have and always will be. It NEVER gets old. never! Thanks for taking us along. Some of the dialoge sounds new. Never heard it before and did they add lighting to the 2nd drop? I remember it being dark. Or was there always light there? It has been awhile since I rode Pirates.

This is so much more than the ride in Orlando! Wish I lived closer to Cali.
This bring back so much memory since I was a kid , to teenagers, and into adulthood, and for some reason I could never outgrow Disneyland. I’m now 56 yrs old and still wish I was there 🙂
It's a classic and one of my all time favorites. I have to admit that the one in Tokoyo Disney is amazing and I wish Florida or California had it.
I've never been but I can smell this ride and feel the coolness of it on my face because of amusement parks I've visited..love this❤
I love this ride and its the version I grew up with. This ride always feels a little chilly to me and always has a certain smell cause the water. The only thing I hate is sometimes the ride feels rushed. When its slow it feels nice.

Agreed, So many beautiful memories and nostalgia. But $600 just to wait in line for hours and only get on to go on 3 or 4 rides is just not worth it anymore.

Thanks for uploading this video! This is my 5yo nephew's favorite "ride" ("ride" because he's not yet been to Disneyland, but he "rides" the rides on CZcams often).We were waiting to take him when he turned 5 and he's so excited to go for a weekend!

I can’t wait to go back to Disneyland on February 12 2022 last time I went was back in 2019 so it’ll be 973 days since I went
The mechanical pirates look very real, but I figured the ride would be much better. Guess they have to cater to many ages.
It'd be extremely cool to have an adult version with cannons and more music etc.
The ride has been changed over the years I first Rode in late 2000. Since then they've added new features and removed some as well including animatronic versions of Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow and speaking of adult version a sequence where prostitutes were being auctioned off was removed in recent years and replaced by a more family friendly sequence where hens (chickens) are being auctioned off as u can see in this version where the pirate says "Ten for a hen" something like that in the old version of that sequence a pirate could be heard saying "Alright dearie now show em your larger side".
This best right hands down. The smell, sounds, cool temperature. Best by a large margin
I’ve been on pirates for almost 24 years since I was a little toddler. And now that I’m older I love the ride and the movies .
I used to be scared of this ride, but now that I’m older im more used to it, I wasn’t afraid of the atmosphere the animatronics or any of that, i was scared of the waterfalls
Lol same also the hologram of davy jones on the water fall hologram scared the life outta me as a kid

The first drop always made me VERY nervous. It feels so steep to me now. Lol.

That is my favorite ride at disneyland. Haven't been there for decades. Glad it's still around.
The best part of this ride is when you are exiting, there's a really good candy trolley.

Well that is definitely a different parts of the Caribbean than the one in Orlando. I have not been to the one in Disneyland in 30+ years. How long ago did it go through a revamp?

This ride The Haunted Mansion and Its a Small World are my favorite rides ! Been on this ride at both Disney land Disney World and its a small world both places but only went on the Haunted Mansion ride at Disney World only !
Last time I was on this was at Walt Disney world 2012. This one has some much better visuals.
Rode this in 1980.I remember the 3 pirates in jail trying to get the key that the dog had in its mouth.It’s a great place.I even saw the 25th Anniversary parade that year.

We were there in 2000 for the Millennium celebration and this is way different from the ride then!!
Personally, I think they should've added a couple of extra animatronics to reference the movies. For instance, that drunk guy with the cats could've been turned into Master Gibbs, and the two pirates sitting at the very tail-end of the ride could've been Pintel and Ragetti [wooden eye dude]. Also, they could've put the chest of cursed Aztec gold at that open spot of "beach" with the skeleton and the crab, near the beginning of the cave scene. The ride is awesome as it is, but I feel like small, subtle differences like those would make it even better. (7/21/2022)

In disneyland Paris you can buy candles that smell of the water and the haunted mansion old antique smell too
What happened to the sound during the prison scene?
A pirate in the suction scene us missing. First one to the left with rifle, that you would see standing on crates just before goats.

I was really sad while watching this video because I miss my vacation in America
I see they got rid of the Davy Jones projection from the ride. Bit of a shame, but expected since it was more of a promotion for the second and third film.
Also people might hear some voices as well the song Yo Ho. Try to find that song on Disney sing along songs volume 1 Heigh Ho. That's the name of the song in Snow white and the seven dwarfs.

Try it- you're missing out! Long lines- sometimes over an hour, but you can pay extra and get a fast pass.

To bad they’ve closed this ride was there April2022 and this ride is close they say indefinitely, some say they upgrading the ride and refurbishing it, and doing some maintenance long over due, Blue bayou is also closed…
It was my bday in 1994, I ate at their restaurant near the ride . The food was good .
Looks exactly like the one in Disney World. I thought that the Disney World’s and Disney Land’s Pirates of the Caribbean rides were different from each other.
