Eigentlich wollte ich nur zeigen, wie ich diese eigenartige Kugel erstellt habe. Daraus wurde aber ungeplant mehr und so machen wir auch einen Rost-Shader und das auf zwei verschiedene Arten ;)
Ich wünsche Euch eine menge Spaß mit dem Tutorial.

Actually, I just wanted to show you how I created this strange sphere. But then, it unplanned became more and so we make a rust shader in two different ways too ;)

Jetzt platzt es doch mal kurz aus mir heraus was mir schon lange auf der Seele brennt: Ich habe C4D immer wieder angefangen und dann wegen Unlust bei Seite gelegt, aber dank dir bleibe ich jetzt am Ball, und das schon seit Monaten. for the grow selection to work u have to make another cut on top so it can have a surface inbetween ....thanku as always for your wisdom !

Oh yes, R18 is far away from working finde. You are right. Let's hope for usable updates ;)
I'm not sure if you are aware or not, but according to the video Maxon released on their CZcams channel about what's new in r18 you can use splines to cut.If I remember correctly you select the line cut and hold ctrl on your keyboard and click the spline you want to use to make the cut with. Cutting with splines begins at 21:51
Knife tools begins at 20:00
Just thought I would share this with you, Hope it helps! Maybe I have helped you to learn something new. :)
Yes, I know that you can use a spline to cut, but in my case I need just 4 cuts for the circle. With a splincut I would have far too many cuts. OK, I could use a n-gone instead of a circle, but for just for cuts, it is for me the fastest way as I did it. Normally I would need no help spline at all ;)

guten morgen niko, tolles tutorial, bin begeistert mit welcher hingabe du daran gehst, um uns zu zeigen, wie und was, man mit cinema machen kann, ich habe hier mal einen link zu einer seite, wo man nachdem man sich registriet hat, kostenlos sich materialien runterladen kann, und sie in cinema über pipeline und dann über substance-engine hinzuladen kann aber ich denke du kennst das eh share.allegorithmic.com/libraries?by_category_type_id=4

Danke für den Link, aber wie Du schon geahnt hast, kenne ich den eh schon und da R18 ja schon die Substance Engine eingebaut hat, ist das natürlich auch eine feine Sache ;)
