You've Been Lied To: Making It In Africa Is Way Better Than Making It In America.

  • Most Africans believe it's impossible to make it back home. They believe money literally grows on threes in the West. Some will even sell their house to get a visa and buy a plane ticket to go and start a new life in an unknown territory.

Lemme be clear on this. I never said coming to the US is a bad idea. For me, it was a good move because I am doing my masters here and I am fully funded in my school (I don’t pay any tuition fee and I also receive some stipends). However what he is saying is so true. There are Africans here who struggle a lot.
People have to hide because they do not have the right paperwork. Unfortunately, many Africans don’t consider the cost of coming here if you have to start from scratch with no guaranteed source of income. That I can tell you, the US will be like hell to you. Your bills alone can sum up to 1000usd(which is even cheap). If you’re in such a situation and you don’t have any guaranteed source of income, that’s too much burden to bear.
Also, even if you work, taxes here are way higher than in Ghana. People pay close to half of their salary to Uncle Sam(IRS). You don’t want to mess with them too (thus you evade taxes at your own peril). On top of that, your family relies on you to provide because of the “Borga” narrative. Native Americans don’t bear extended family costs but we are expected to do that so keep that in mind.
It’s not as easy as it seems.
Bottom line: If you have something in Ghana that fetches you enough to take care of yourself and your family plus you own a house, I wouldn’t advise that you come here to settle. Take the risk and start a business in Ghana and you’ll live a very good life.
      God bless us all.

The funny thing is that he doesn't see the contradiction in his statement.
If a person leaves Ghana to live in America.......this means that Ghana is not a good place to live.

People take America for a joke. They don't realize that it's very expensive here and if you don't know what to do, you can really destroy your life and be begging to run back to your own country. Africa is a paradise. If you have some kind of income that's stable that you can bring in through a business and not have to ask anyone for anything. I never had the stress in Kenya that I have here in America. I don't understand why any successful business person who is doing fine on the continent would give up a social life, peace of mind and stable emotions to come here and work, live and be treated like a dog. 😮

People really need to start thinking for themselves. The United States is no where near perfect but Africa is damn sure not a paradise.
For example..... African poverty is way different than American poverty. African poverty is tin roof shack with a propane tank outside on the ground of a dirt road making $10 per month. American poverty is still having some $$ in a bank account, while unemployed and collecting either a welfare check or an unemployment check from the state.
And while here in America many people borrow money and use credit to purchase things at least we have the access to purchase and the infrastructure is in place for us to lift up out of poverty.
There's no doubt that there's crime in America but why move to Africa and be scammed, stolen from, murdered and in a land dispute with people who look like you??
We move to Africa buy land, build businesses and provide employment for Africans just to be lied on and placed in jail as my fellow brother from NYC just experienced. The other issue is this...... black Americans are not running across your border fleeing America to live in Africa.
But Africans are fleeing Africa by the millions right now and ILLEGALLY crossing into the United States.....now our tax dollars are feeding them and housing them.
So here's the question.....if Africa is so great why are there currently millions of Africans illegally coming to the United States??

And yet your here sucking up our good air instead of promoting a mass Exodus of africans who fled their homelands to go back to their homelands. Before they are removed and deported like they are across the world on a daily bases. Your family couldn't even make it in africa, how would you know what it feels

Stop lying bro. Your parents create the platform for you to be successful. If you hustle in the hot sun of Accra for 3 days without food you will understand why the youths are rushing to travel. Go to Tema general hospital, Babies are on incubators and there is no electricity. Most of the successful business owners won't tell you how they made it because they do dirty deals to cover with their businesses.
My kid brother have been jobless for 4 years as a Registered Nurse in Ghana until He travel to US and He is doing so well.
