You've Been Lied To: Making It In Africa Is Way Better Than Making It In America.

- Most Africans believe it's impossible to make it back home. They believe money literally grows on threes in the West. Some will even sell their house to get a visa and buy a plane ticket to go and start a new life in an unknown territory.

I’m in the US and I agree with you 100%. Having a good life in Ghana as a Ghanaian is way better
But my life in America is way way better than Ghana oh. Go into tech and you will thank me later
So why are u still there 🤷
@@warupdateinru-ukr2182 as usual, work hard, get the money, start something in Ghana and relocate back
Lemme be clear on this. I never said coming to the US is a bad idea. For me, it was a good move because I am doing my masters here and I am fully funded in my school (I don’t pay any tuition fee and I also receive some stipends). However what he is saying is so true. There are Africans here who struggle a lot.
People have to hide because they do not have the right paperwork. Unfortunately, many Africans don’t consider the cost of coming here if you have to start from scratch with no guaranteed source of income. That I can tell you, the US will be like hell to you. Your bills alone can sum up to 1000usd(which is even cheap). If you’re in such a situation and you don’t have any guaranteed source of income, that’s too much burden to bear.
Also, even if you work, taxes here are way higher than in Ghana. People pay close to half of their salary to Uncle Sam(IRS). You don’t want to mess with them too (thus you evade taxes at your own peril). On top of that, your family relies on you to provide because of the “Borga” narrative. Native Americans don’t bear extended family costs but we are expected to do that so keep that in mind.
It’s not as easy as it seems.
Bottom line: If you have something in Ghana that fetches you enough to take care of yourself and your family plus you own a house, I wouldn’t advise that you come here to settle. Take the risk and start a business in Ghana and you’ll live a very good life.
God bless us all.
You are a very smart and wise person!!!! He left Ghana (Africa) moved to America to use America for $$ and thenhe tells people that Ghana (Africa) is better than America.
The funny thing is that he doesn't see the contradiction in his statement.
If a person leaves Ghana to live in America.......this means that Ghana is not a good place to live.
People don't leave good countrues....
I stayed in abroad for many years working hard with stressful life and anxious spirit, but had my breakthrough after coming back to Ghana to start something, and now I built my first dream mansion at Asebu Pan African village. It all about the mindset. I'm a Ghanaian.
People take America for a joke. They don't realize that it's very expensive here and if you don't know what to do, you can really destroy your life and be begging to run back to your own country. Africa is a paradise. If you have some kind of income that's stable that you can bring in through a business and not have to ask anyone for anything. I never had the stress in Kenya that I have here in America. I don't understand why any successful business person who is doing fine on the continent would give up a social life, peace of mind and stable emotions to come here and work, live and be treated like a dog. 😮
If you did not have the stress in Kenya and are so miserable in the US why don't you go back to Kenya ? I have lived in US for 25 years. If I could live well in my country Nigeria WIHOUT STRESS AND WITH PEACE OF MIND I would have gone back from day one !!
No direction in Africa. Its difficult to find the right help in Africa to get you started.
I was fortunate to meet the right person in Africa, he thought me alot.
It helped me alot.
This is the truth!
I agree. Successful Africans don’t share.
Our people are full of greed so when the person who knows the way decides to share it, they will come for him. One can read books or seek out a mentor.
People are just lost here.
they will scam you out of your money.all black Americans be aware of it.
Its difficult to make good money in Ghana as compared to the west, as the market is much smaller and people generally dont have money. Even Kwame Badiako, the real est deveolper had to go to the west to expand because he could only go so far in Ghana.
Great video, Rush!
very insightful😍
Burger was used to describe the Ghanaians who lived in Germany Hamburg who were big spenders when they came on holidays that term was later used for all Ghanaian diaspora who returned home
You truly don’t have to sell your house to relocate. 💯
I stay in my grandpa house in Ghana here and he's in uk he never encourage me to travel and my uncle to dey there 20 years no come before
bro, I am not even black and this video makes me want to move to Ghana!
The correct word you mentioned is "Bürger" or "Buerger" with an English keyboard. Some mentioned it already correctly, it means you are a "citizen" of the country you live in. It is originated from the German language and maybe sneaked into the american/English language.
100% in agreement with what you said. But the real issue is the government who is not providing infrastructure as well as small credit with direction for those who have the zeal to do something e.g life stock or small processing businesses. Lack of practical exposure is limiting a lot of educated Africans, especially the youths.
On behalf of all UK borgas, I will like to express our displeasure and to let you know that we are triggered and offended by your effort to strip us of our borga status. Legal action is pending 😅.
All good points bro. Having your own back home hits differently.
This borga status is overrated honestly. Most of them come to Ghana and get jealous of those back home but they’ll never tell you 😂😂
@@Oyzatt We still need it for the little swag it possesses 😅
@@MickeyAgyeiI’m not saying abroad has nothing good to offer, far from that.
But just like everything in life, there’s an opportunity cost to everything.
The person who’s married is better off in some situations compared to the single man. And the single man too is better off in some situation than the married man
The person living in Ghana has some advantages over the one one living overseas in many circumstances, is not true that the one living abroad has one fit all solution 😂😂
@@Oyzatt I think you are taking my comments too serious. I'm just joking.
@@MickeyAgyei we can’t agree on the same things every time . Is normal 😄😄
I am from US and live in Ghana now I would not go back you are telling the truth
I follow your CZcams channel, you are living the dream many diasporans wish for.
The reason people sojourn to western countries is for a second passport. Africans are treated as less than 3rd class citizens of the world and only a second strong passport can improve the stance of an African from barely human to noticeably human.
If you think most diasporans are living the life here, you are joking. If you sell your properties in Africa just to travel abroad, you will regret. Am trying to move back from UK to Ghana. My body can't cope with the RAT race anymore 😂😂😢😢. There is no place like home. 🇬🇭🇬🇭.
Rush you have SAID it all 💯💯💯. I follow your channel because you Spit facts Only ✌️✌️✌️💯💯🙌.
If you’ve this plan, don’t share it with friends or someone who has being in the uk for many years. Most of them get jealous and they’ll start to say negative things about our country, because they themselves don’t have the courage and what it takes to succeed here😂
@@OyzattTrue
The best decision ever.Do it and you won't regret
@@ritipee3593 you can’t take regret out of the picture because abroad too has it good side if not, we wouldn’t have travelled there in the first place. Is about staying in your own country where people don’t spit on your dignity as a human being.
@@Oyzatt I'm on the same journey from Switzerland to Ghana as well. Can't deal with babylon anymore.
But also when people let folks in Ghana know, everyone thinks they are lying or trying to “keep them out” of America! I’ve seen this time and time again. No one wants to hear the truth
Naa the burger is a Germany Word .Which means a Citizen of Germany with a recident permit. Correction
I personally have mix feelings on this. It all depends on the person, how they spend and what they actually earn when they get to the west.
Ghana has opportunities but people need some kind of support to get started, doesn't necessarily means money but you cant get up and do what you dont know. Everyone everywhere no matter where they are the west or Africa needs support to start.
I understand you. Travelling alone improves your understanding. No wonder travelers are automatically perceived as smart individuals.
Keep your you T./ Check fan base no lye!
I want to move to Ghana but I Find it difficult because of the leasehold Policies on land. I would want to leave something for my children and so forth; After 50 - 99 years(Depending on citizenship status) everything I worked for could just be taken by the landowner. Has anyone came up with an Idea around this?
Not true. To fully understand what you are stressing over kindly book my consultation and I will take you through what you don’t understand yet.
Link in description.
You should research or talk to a lawyer. Difference in West is they threaten to take you property every year over taxes for the rest of your children’s lives. In Ghana no one will bother you for 50 years and then they sign another lease for another 50 and wash rinse repeat 😂 literally got my indenture today.
Trust me, nobody is going to bother you after 50 or 99 years.
True somewhat because usd still makes the world go round so without dollars its going to be very difficult to finance anything as the chinese are now finding out
Are you referring to federal or state tax in NYC? not sure if 50% is accurate
🤣🤣🤣🤣
He is right if you are single not married and no kid or kids.
State plus Federal , social security and the rest will take you past 50% if you earn good money . I am an accountant……..
Hopefully much more teaching will be given to Ghanians.
I don't know where to start or end.
God has been good to bless every nation. Poor teaching and a whole lot of other things has made it impossible to make ends meet
At last we have lights and internet in the west 😏☹️
See sad boy. Wait till the worst pending happens and u have no investment back home.
lights and internet. As well as long hours , high taxes. difficulties to save.,. trapped in debts. The house you live in is mortgaged or the rent you pay is exorbitant.. Oh lets not forget the system that blacks are ar the victims of . Welcome to the west. Enjoy it
U have light on water , but I have the 🌞 solar. It's only the original is going to stand my brother, get out of her my people.
Good....stay there. Nuff said
Yes and a 30 year mortgage car note and all the bills .. that come with it .. and you don’t own your house are land ..
and for the lights there is solar, back up power and satellite Internet, so solved them two problems. Africa’s not meant for everybody also is good to be retired with residual income coming from the west you live very very good life.
What businesses thrive well in Africa that you can advance us to go into and why.
Advice
The video was black for me 😮
What the average Ghanaian doesn’t know is that you don’t go to America or Europe to watch the sea or buildings, you go to work. I agree that salary in the west is better than Ghana, but is not about salary but how you invested it wisely. You can achieve it big in Africa or self sustain yourself if you’re smart and know what you’re doing
You lie.
You lie.
@@warupdateinru-ukr2182 I think I’m right so correct me if I’m wrong
If you tell Ghanaians abroad is hard, they will say why you still there and they will tell you are selfish
Great video Rush, so true 👌
You are doing a great job
You had exposure in the country of birth and had the opportunity to trade in stocks and make it. Therefore, don't denigrate people in Ghana for traveling abroad for greener pasture.
Rush, I am an Military Veteran who Ancestors were brought to the U.S. I am thinking about transitioning to Ghana in next 5-10 years. What are your thoughts? And do you have anyone in your circle who has been in my position?
I think it's a no brainer; especially if you have a military pension. Your money will go further and you can start a business with your knowhow and links to the US. I'm doing same.
I believe it's a great idea because the retirement money will go a long way here.
My brother that's a Big facts, most of are slave that's doing everything we can to make that happen
People really need to start thinking for themselves. The United States is no where near perfect but Africa is damn sure not a paradise.
For example..... African poverty is way different than American poverty. African poverty is tin roof shack with a propane tank outside on the ground of a dirt road making $10 per month. American poverty is still having some $$ in a bank account, while unemployed and collecting either a welfare check or an unemployment check from the state.
And while here in America many people borrow money and use credit to purchase things at least we have the access to purchase and the infrastructure is in place for us to lift up out of poverty.
There's no doubt that there's crime in America but why move to Africa and be scammed, stolen from, murdered and in a land dispute with people who look like you??
We move to Africa buy land, build businesses and provide employment for Africans just to be lied on and placed in jail as my fellow brother from NYC just experienced. The other issue is this...... black Americans are not running across your border fleeing America to live in Africa.
But Africans are fleeing Africa by the millions right now and ILLEGALLY crossing into the United States.....now our tax dollars are feeding them and housing them.
So here's the question.....if Africa is so great why are there currently millions of Africans illegally coming to the United States??
See the attached video for an example....
czcams.com/video/9aal460YAtk/video.htmlsi=eID76s5BNlJvwE0s
America is the richest country on earth and a beacon for the world to seek opportunities. Why specify Africans as though we are the only ones? He's not saying Africa is comparable to the USA; certainly not. So why so negative and defensive?
@@TheIrieman15 I stated FACT!!! And we fought and died in America for Africans and other groups to come here and enjoy the riches. We didn't run from America and move to other peoples country when shi* got bad.
And I say again.....if Africa is great like this video states then why are thousands of your people running away and fleeing here to America every day? Clearly there's a lot of problems in Africa!!!
Don't get on a video and talk negative about my country but your people are fleeing from Africa by the thousands and running to my country illegally everyday.
Every African that is currently running here across the United States border is benefiting from the taxes that we pay here in America.
@@KP-mr5nb cos America is a corporation. People go there with the mindset to make some money. Aside of that I don't believe most immigrants will be attracted to the US. The rest of what you said is FBA, AOOS fads.
This is off topic my friend.
@@KP-mr5nb "YOUR COUNTRY?" LOL
If you have the money, Ghana, Africa, is the best place to live.
Why?
Poor Africans will worship you!
Is that not what every human been deeply desires?
In Europe, who cares if you are rich.
Isn't that what the rich hate?
If you can buy a house, and so what?
In Europe, even a cleaner, can also own a home.
Try that in Ghana, or any of the African countries.
If you don't have money, Ghana, Africa, is the worse place to live.
Because being poor in Africa is a crime.
Believe me.
I know.
I have been there!
For the record, most Africans I know here in Europe do not wash dishes in restaurants.
Some of them are entrepreneurs, teachers, technicians, nurses, work in logistics, drivers, IT.
Many own their own restaurants, shops, saloons, and homes.
We keep telling our people there are so many opportunities in Africa, yet all the successful businesses I see are geared towards people earning dollars / pounds /euro, not cedi earning Ghanaians. People keep saying Africa is paradise BUT you need to generate dollars/pound in order to live in this paradise .Can you earn enough cedi to live that life ? Your business is geared to diasporas in America or the UK who need a reliable company to buy land and build in Ghana and have the dollars and pounds to pay .
My brother moved back to Nigeria and works remotely for an American company earning dollars . Others are earning dollars on CZcams . Others are running air b&bs geared to diaspora .Because of the exchange rate they are living like kings !
I honestly would like to know what business in Ghana that caters to cedi earning Ghanaians, can generate this kind of income?. I retired early in US and as Nigeria is not an option and I have dollars to invest and don't want to spend retirement watching Netflix I am really interested in starting a business in Ghana. .
Absolutely! I earn Cedis sometimes and it adds up. There are many people here making a lot of money earning cedis. Even the market women. Please don’t sleep on the cedis. However, if you want to work for someone, then you’re right. But to run your business, you can make a lot of money earning cedis.
You are 1000% wrong. Would you have been in the position you are today if you had not lived and worked in America. And who says everyone that travels washes dishes? And is washing dishes a bad thing. Are people not washing dishes in ghana? What can they afford with that salary?
Why didn't yall just ask Black Americans how life in America was, instead of expecting a foreign migrant African to keep it real about America? lol
The American dream is real! Many Americans can overcome poverty and find a steady job to support themselves and their family, go vacation and have good retirement . While Africa dream is death there are no jobs, no stable electricity no drinking water. It is an endless cycle of hunger with no real way out unless outside help is given. The whole nation depends on handout from IMF. Any one have the opportunity to go to America or England please quickly dispose all your gabage and leave.
Ok, here we go with another mindset.
1. You mentioned of no drinking water, what do people drink, petrol or Kerosine?
2. No electricity? So how do we power our fridges, television and air-conditioning system?
People like you have nothing to offer in society to make it better. The 5 star hotels around this continent was not built by foreigners. Dangote is not a Chinese. Please change your mindset and show us how many houses you've built in America or paid off.
