- In The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning, Cynder, voiced by Cree Summer, is the main antagonist but has only a few lines and little screen time. She only fully appears moments before the boss fight against her. Although it is a bit disappointing that the main antagonist has a few lines, there are many unused voice clips of Cynder contained within the files of the game. I suspect the developers intended for Cynder to have more lines but didn't have time or resources to include them in the game, so they scrapped some of her lines - the result of rushed development. I haven't played this game but I have watched all cutscenes. If there are lines in this video that are present in the game, let me know because I haven't heard of them until I discovered them. I'm also wondering if anyone else knows about these unused dialogues because I haven't encountered any discussions, forums, or videos regarding them. Some dialogue sound excellent. They portray Cynder as more menacing and ruthless, as every evil antagonist should be. It is a shame they weren't used but it is fascinating to discover unused dialogue which may have ultimately enhanced the depth of Cynder's character, in her corrupted form, to a greater extent. Ultimately, the exclusion of these lines resulted in a lost opportunity to reinforce Cynder's character - especially the dialogue in which Cynder mocks Spyro and Ignitus. This makes me wish Cynder had more screen time in this game. Cree Summer is the perfect VA for Cynder.

I think they all perfect for Cynder as their role. It's showing us more of her personality as a character.
Some of the voice lines sounds like when the player is killed by Cynder.

i feel like she could've voiced good cynder as well, the line near the end where she says "yes, thanks to spyro" sounds like the perfect amount of scratch and cute to make a reformed cynder! plus it would have been more consistent... if they all kept their original voices >.>
Cynder is awesome a dragon that deserves more screen time I would say I mean look at those blades on her wings and her tail too and her horns are just wow who ever created cynder really knew what the fans wanted to see and who ever plays the voice for the future of cynder I just hope they can try their best to do her some real justice because I would say I want the best for cynder who else agrees with me on that

I really loved Cree's performance for Cynder; I think she's a talented voice actress.
Also, a little fun fact: she also did the voice of Kida from Altantis: The Lost Empire.
Just a heads up: some fans actually think the last fake line is real, yes some users think it's actually real. I recently got a comment about it saying they heard it from this video. ^^;

If I ever get that Skyrim mod I've been dreaming of off the ground, some of these lines (re-recorded of course) would go nicely on an Argonian character involved - especially a scene where, like Cynder, she's brainwashed. Thanks for posting this.
I kinda get why these quotes weren't in the final game although this makes it seem like cynder and currepted cynder are different people or dragons like " master help me, Spyro what have you done?" while reforming and cynder was more aless afraid of her master malefore at the time and "w, what where? someone someone help me" which makes no sense when showed here cynder confirmed she felt better couse of Spyro curing her and thanking Spyro for it even remembering being the terror of the skys.
The line where cynder mocks ignitus would have been a nice touch
@@n4sos that line from her sounds pretty childish which wouldn't fit the moment, although "our time now is through all things must come to a end, Spyro" sounds pretty good it's sounds both menacing yet the way she says it makes it seem like she actually cares about Spyro which " awwww and you where so close" also showed it's a sign that Spyro lost yet she cares about him which is interesting sense cynder shouldn't care at all so of course those got scratched but they also show cynder having different characteristics that opposites the other.

I understand why most of these weren't used, but I like what I think the intention is. Despite Cynder's accelerated growth, she's still a 12yo in there, and her dialogue reflects this. Not a fan of the execution, but I like the thought.

I have actually played the game, and it's a crying shame how little Cynder actually says. Criminal waste of Cree Summer if you ask me.

@@n4sos Sorry about that. I thought it was real when Cree Summer just said that word with voice lines for Cynder in The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning (2006) before I just realized that it was cut voice lines, and I was like "wha...?" and jaw just completely dropped.
