Man the nostalgia, I remember being so fascinated with the videos on this channel, Did You Know Gaming, Beta 64, and Yuriofwind back when I first started watching CZcams over 10 years ago.
Should have talked about the wall you can walk through to cheat in the penguin race. When I found it at 5 years, my mind was blown............ Not so much an egg but is still a fun little secrit. It's on one of the ice cave things you pass through on the right. Just keep sliding on that and you should get through into a secrit hole and get a free life. WARNING! The penguin insists that you cheated and you don't get the star.

I remember getting this when I was about 12 as part of an n64 bundle and I was blown away. Such a magical game with so much content, well ahead of its time. I really wish they'd update the graphics and re release it.

I found a really bad glitch in the DS version. Go to the mirror room where you unlock Wario. Go as Wario to the left wall into the level there. Climb the mountain up until the blowy bit that blows your cap away. Kill the snowman wearing your cap by punching him. Repeat this and you will see more and more Wario caps duplicated on the floor. Eventually the game will begin to lag and the floor texture will rapidly glitch as you aproach the snowman. Punch him and the game will freeze, leaving an annoying whining noise.
Wow, I've played this game so much in the past, but I never noticed the classic Mario Bros. reference on the concrete blocks/pillars in Bowser's final level ..great stuff :))

L is real theory - the statue in the cortyard states "L is real 2401" which he said was February 4th, 2001. Luigi's Mansion was released in 2001. So maybe at the time, they we're working on a game after Mario 64's release. You can tell it would be a spooky game because they put Boo's in the cortyard with hit.
you can get ther without 120 stars, in fact, you dont need any. with the drained moat if you BLJ precise enough you will get into the cannon. now for the undrained moat method: first you BLJ on that tiny are near the cannon you can see in the "1 key" TAS, you BLJ to VCutM. then build up a lot of speed on the elevator, and then navigate to a PU, and get into the cannon. note that this requires a different PU route. another method is HSW next to the waterfall and do PU navigation that way, but it takes 90 minutes for enough speed, so good luck with either of those.

Here is a neat glitch you can perform, regarding the cannon near the lake. To the right of the cannon, there is a hill with a climbable tree on it. Run a bit, and perform a slide and you should grab the very stump of the tree, and, it may take a few tries, but, if done correctly, after grabbing the stump, you can slide down the tree into a strange section of lake underneath the beach. You can then swim into the cannon from the bottom and blast off!
there's also a glitch I saw where someone found out the source of the water from the waterfall! :D and if anyone hasn't found it yet, during the race with the penguin, there's a secret path you can take that will take you right to the end of the race! when the paths split, and you see the ice walls, take the right and press right against the wall. :D

The plaque under the statue actually has the same thing written on a sign in legend of Zelda ocarina of time but the sign is interactive.on the sign it says when the red dodongo sees red a new way will open.which could be referring to when a boo sees Mario with a 'RED' cap a new way will open
Actually that same plaque appears in OoT and it read "Giant dead dodongo. When it sees red a new way to go will open". Thus that means when the biggest boo sees red (Mario's cap and shirt) a new way to go will open ( The entrance to "Big Boo's Haunt).
I know another bug of this game is to climb on top of the central tower of the castle by shooting while flying on the roof and reach highest ever in the tower, but beware of the faces is not solid and makes you fall behind the entrance door (is cool too haha)
When you introduced meeting yoshi at 4:57 if you pause the video as mario is jumping out of the green tube. If you look behind him there is a cloud that appears to be in the shape of "yoshi" :)

I think I know how the endless stairs glitch works. Of course, the endless stairs are just a section repeating over and over again. But if you go that fast, the game is too slow to check if you have 70 stars, so it stops.
You forgot a massive part of the 16-star glitch. You collect 15 and beat bowser 1, then catch the bunny in the basement and use him to glitch through the star to to dire dire docks. Then you beat the first mission to obtain your 16th star and then bowser 2 is unlocked. Then you beat him and then you can climb the stairs and do the backwards long jump. Do your research, check your privilege.
There was a demo that appeared in a game event for a gamecube game called super mario 128, showing 128 marios walking and jumping in a floating circle. Could it be that in super mairo 128 luigi was going to appear? Also, there was a page from some game magazine that talked about a 64DD sequel that not happened due the fail of the DD. I think luigi was going to appear in this game.
