Bought a 1 year old County Line 40 ton splitter for $1400.00 yesterday. It wouldn't crank so the guy just wanted it gone.
    The fuel line was clogged.
Runs like a dream. Will handle a 4 way.
    8 second cycle!
    Look out crotches!
Should spend up production by quite a bit, while I wait a year for the Axis!!!
    That reminds me...

When I first saw that fender at 3:45 I thought it was rusted out. Looking closer it seems to just be bar oil spray covered with sawdust and wood chips. More of the same in that area. I suppose a good coating of bar oil and wood chips could be a good rust preventative. GNI

I modded my home built electric wrapper a lot over the last few days to speed up loading, unloading & wrapping - it is now able to hit 65 - 68 bundles per hour with one guy consistently - just as I figured out a better better way of selling wood - which involves not selling it as wood. I.E no more bundles, lol, just as the bundler starts flying.. :-)

There’s a lot to be said about using loaders to handle wood, and that grated bucket he had is not negotiable for an operation that doesn’t stack all of its wood. Clean wood is important because everyone wants it. Even the folks that tend wood furnaces will use small splits, not everyone wants cookies, even at a great price.
