    I'm so glad IWUF Wushu posted videos that are clearer to see. It helps analyze movements so we can apply it to training and practice!

    Practictioner Yu Lei was so flexible and energetic. Also using sword so fantastic. Perfect movement it is!!!

    Hot take: TCMA guys who complain about wushu not being a real martial would get wrecked in a fight with this guy on virtue of sheer athleticism alone.

    • @defjulz
      @defjulz Před 3 lety +3

      The athleticism of modern wushu isn’t what traditionalists are complaining about. The biggest issue is joint damage caused by trying to land some of these crazy spins. Many of the new movements can easily cause injury. It’s cool to see, but there’s a reason why you don’t see older people doing these modern forms yet you see many doing the traditional forms.

    These athletes have a lot of physical power, the result of a lot of physical training.
    The physical preparation of these athletes is at the level of technical preparation !!!
    Many coaches and masters have to get the wrong idea that bodybuilding training is detrimental to martial training

    Жаль, что ушу превратили вот в это. В набор сложных элементов на оценку. И убрали напрочь боевую составляющую. А потом мы, последователи ушу, удивляемся и оскорбляемся, когда другие обзывают нас танцорами. В спаринги хоть иногда вставать надо, а не только красивости отрабатывать!

    not gonna like I didn't like it. His barehanded movements were significantly better than the ones with weapons, I like weapons in real life so seeing him not throw enough stabs looks bad to me, I know its supposed to be artistic but I find practicality artistic. This is the kind of weapon usage you see from the Anakin Starwars trilogy which is god awful for practical proposes.
