Looking forward to going to Japan someday. One of the highlights is definitely visiting a Mandarake shop. I've been a customer of theirs since 2018 but I never visited in person yet.

I always visit the Mandarake’s when I’m in Japan. I’ve been to both locations in Akihabara, Shibuya, and Osaka. I hope to see the one in Hokkaido next time.

I live in NZ and had heard about Mandarake from a Maxmoefoe video years ago, but I forgot about it until watching the Trash Taste special where they shopped in this store. Actually seeing what it is like, and seeing all the amazing stuff they have for sale left such a huge impression on me! If I lived in Japan I would be there every other day haha.
I actually spotted some items on the shelves that I wanted to buy while watching their video, so I made an account and placed an order. The prices are great, even with the international shipping included. One of the items I bought I couldn't find in my country, and if I bought it from somewhere like eBay I would have had to pay 5 times as much as I found it for in this store. You can even see one of them briefly in this video :)
Depending how long my order takes to arrive, I can very easily see this becoming one of my favourite stores!

Yes I agree, so many hidden gems in Mandarake and for a fair price actually! 🤩

Yeah, after reading comment at another channel, I contacted Mandarake & it sent me link to pay. Was trying to avoid opening yet another account with another commerce entity (PayPal) but sometimes you want that unique item that Mandarake not only has but sells it to ya cheaper than other sellers, shipping included, albeit may take longer to get. Kaiju & giant robots of yesteryear anime shows, select vintage transformers-yup, monsters & sentient tech.

LMAO go to Mandarake, highly likelihood of meeting Connor an Gigguk.
Although I find it odd there is porn just right next to anime and manga lol

Yeah I had that issue to. Basically what you do is when they send you the invoice email to pay, reply to it and explain to them that US credit cards aren't going through and to ask to pay through PayPal. Sahra and Complex got back to me fairly quickly and gave me PayPal links to pay.

Are you sure is a second hand shop? Many items in the Toy section are very expensive like new...

It had lots of figures but nothing that you couldn't find at any other store in Akihabara. But that's not why it gets a bad review. They tried to rip me off because I was an American tourist. I know how to read kanji and understand the price system. They attempted to charge me an extra 1000 yen saying it was the tax not included on the price tag but it was included as is on all price tags. They lable the before tax price then the amount of tax then the bold number is the total with tax. Don't try to rip me off if it's clearly labeled and you just don't think I can read or understand you? No thanks I'll got somewhere else for a better price and customer experience.
