I love combining patterned paper . Cute layout .

Omg that tissue paper ruffle tip is revolutionary. I always see people sew their crepe paper for that effect but I hate sewing and getting the machine out.

I love patterned papers and don't struggle with combining them. Love this one!

I really like this layout! You are so enthusiastic and brave - just the thought of painting on a layout gives me anxiety! Don’t be so hard on yourself! Your videos are wonderful!

Great layout - I struggle with very busy patterned papers so good to see how you used them here 😊

Not finished watching, but before I forget: *yes*, I definitely can struggle w/multicolor pps. I’m a color-matcher scrapbooker & the more colors in the paper, the more risk of some of them not matching colors in the pics.

I always use patterned paper. I hope you continue getting use with using it :). Beautiful layout.

Glad im not alone...lol. Patterned paper drives me nuts, I'm either trying to hide it under multi photos or using it as a background mat with only an inch or so showing like you would with a photo. Christmas was spent with the inlaws eating way to much food opening gifts and playing bingo, I used left over Christmas chocolates, novelty gift items and candy canes in bags as prizes they were so competitive it was hilarious to watch.

Love the payout! I use white gesso on busy patterns to knock back the background. Gives a good base to all the other elements. Thanks for sharing! xo

Have you considered vellum?? I would have put your title on vellum and then put over the clock paper.

Had a fabulous Christmas with lots of good food and entertainment. We bought the “speak out” game which was hilarious!! So many giggles with the family which was brilliant.
Love the tips and layout. I struggle with patterned paper backgrounds too. I agree a lot of the new collections have such bold and busy patterns that they become too much. X

Ummm....you are hilarious! I kept saying oh that’s cute where’s the jazz fingers...oh she’s not done...now jazz fingers...nope...she’s still adding. I loved that layer idea with the ruffles that is adorbs! The paint ended up being a good save too. And you used up some thickers...add that to your resolutions “done” list. 😜

Wonderful layout, dear....especially considering that you were working outside your comfort zone using multi coloured patterned papers. 👍 😊😊 I actually love multi coloured patterned papers and use them in most of my layouts! In fact, I make monochromatic LOs only when I am lacking inspiration or motivation because I think they are too easy....if that makes sense!...lol 🤪😂😜

I love how you paint over busy paper and I've copied this technique from you many times :) I have also used vellum or those glassine envelopes as well. What a great layout, thanks Adele!

Kellene Giese I’ve seen some videos of people doing that painting over part of the patterned paper. What do you use to paint over them?

@@Deadlysniper803 A lot of times I use the ones Adele uses, the Dylusions. It's nice b/c it can be a little translucent and so some of the pattern still shows through. :)

Love this! Did you hear my squeal all the way from Canada when you got to the tissue paper ruffle? Sometimes I struggle with patterned paper, which is tricky because it's what I'm drawn to when purchasing paper lol.

Love this layout! I almost have my scrap space cleaned(found the floor)! Just have the closet to finish and then I’ll be able to create! Hugs! Oh what is the name of the shops you go to to buy crafty stuff? My daughter is in Melbourne on holiday and wanted to buy scrapbooking items from Australia to bring back!
