  • The Cub Cadet 3-Stage Snowblower: Superior Performance and Efficiency
When it comes to battling heavy snowfall and clearing your driveway or pathways, the choice of a snowblower can make a significant difference in your snow removal experience. One of the top contenders in the market is the Cub Cadet 3-Stage Snowblower, which offers distinct advantages over traditional 2-Stage systems. Let's explore the benefits that set the Cub Cadet 3-Stage Snowblower apart.
    1. Enhanced Snow Clearing Capability: The Cub Cadet 3-Stage Snowblower incorporates an additional accelerator auger, making it more efficient at breaking down snow and ice compared to 2-Stage systems. This accelerator auger collects snow and pushes it into the impeller, resulting in faster and more thorough clearing, even in wet or packed snow conditions.
    2. Greater Clearing Width and Depth: With a wider auger housing, the Cub Cadet 3-Stage Snowblower allows for a larger clearing width. This means you can clear a wider path with each pass, reducing the number of passes required to complete the job. Additionally, the auger and impeller system of the 3-Stage design can throw snow to a greater distance, ensuring a cleaner and more extensive clearing depth.
    3. Improved Efficiency in Heavy Snow: The 3-Stage design of the Cub Cadet snowblower provides exceptional performance in heavy snow conditions. The additional accelerator auger breaks up the snow and ice, allowing the impeller to propel it more forcefully through the chute. This increased efficiency enables the machine to handle deep snow drifts and heavy accumulation with ease, minimizing clogs and maximizing productivity.
    4. Enhanced Durability: The Cub Cadet 3-Stage Snowblower is built to withstand demanding winter conditions. The robust construction and high-quality materials used in its manufacturing ensure durability and longevity, allowing you to rely on the machine season after season.
    5. Ease of Use: Despite its advanced features, the Cub Cadet 3-Stage Snowblower remains user-friendly. It typically offers convenient features such as electric start, ergonomic controls, and adjustable chute direction and pitch, allowing for comfortable operation and precise snow discharge control.
In summary, the Cub Cadet 3-Stage Snowblower outperforms traditional 2-Stage systems in terms of snow clearing capability, clearing width and depth, efficiency in heavy snow, durability, and user-friendly features. If you're looking for a snowblower that can handle the toughest winter conditions and make snow removal a breeze, the Cub Cadet 3-Stage Snowblower is an excellent choice.

I had the older MTD snowblower attachment on my lgt1050 and it was a chore to install and also to remove. There was no spring assist so you were dealing with the full weight of the bucket. I was amazed at the newer style, as shown here. It is amazingly easy to install and remove and the spring assist makes lifting the bucket very easy. Looking forward to a winter with more snow than we had last season so I can work out with my new SLX 50.

After 4 years of owning a 3 stage snowblower I don't find it works any better than a 2 stage. Just my opinion. Thanks

The Cub Cadet Dealer in my area that I deal with a lot for Stihl items as well, told me to avoid the 3 Stage Snowblowers. I bought the 13hp 2 stage and I’m very happy with it. Now that being said, I’m not sure about the Lawn Tractor Model. Be careful, I trust my guy cause he knows I’d climb all over the vet him if it didn’t work correctly!

I own a 2018 Cub Cadet XT1 with a 3 stage, 42 inch snow blower. Worst snow blower I have ever owned. The two yellow blades are called accelerator and even in light snow, the back accelerator blade will snap the shear pin even if I drive very slowly. The manual gives one part number in the front of the manual (page 6) for the left and right spiral blades as 689-00356 and on page 22/23, the parts list shows all shear pins as 738-04124A. Cub Cadet informed me that the spiral blades should use p/n 738-05273 and the accelerator blades should use p/n 738-06654. Do not recommend anyone buy a 3 stage snow thrower.

Page 18 says to use 738-04124A otherwise your warranty is void. My unit broke the main shaft (717-05236) blowing 4" of fresh snow with factory pins. They're making me drive over an hour away and wait two weeks for warranty repair to fix it. Meanwhile I can't clear my driveway, can't recommend. It's a shame because it works well when it's working.

Thank you for sharing the vid. Would you know if it will operate with a John Deere?

John Deere likes to use their own proprietary junk so no it won't work with a John Deere.

Its a great idea, but the push tube technology is way outdated for what could be a simple quick installation and removal. Those push tubes are a horrible design, and you end up struggling to install and remove the blower unit. Looks like they no longer offer the blower which given its installation design I'm glad its gone. I now have a tractor that I can put a blower or a rear blade on so the snow blower for my XT1 might just get sold, its not worth the hassle.
