The other problem with seasonals is that they are retroactively turning up to 8 F2P characters into paywall/fomo characters every year. Hey are you a Rogue fan and have built her up all the way? Too bad, she's a paywall exclusive, potentially for years, until she gets another normal uniform (if ever). Seasonal = F2P graveyard.
Before Odin came, Starlord was the meta for the alien hero day of ABL. Gamora uniform was really good too and if you have her at T4 you can use her for the speed hero or speed villain day of ABX

Hela should have had her time to shine in pvp ( more than just a support/headache). 2024 the devs really need to improve game content. New game content. Increase rewards for higher difficulty. They need to either take a break from seasonal uniforms or give some kind of a slight discount but will they. Probably not. There needs to be a balance not one sided. Yesterday I was actually practicing with Miles, Sharon and Gwen. It was fun. Variety is the spice of life. Come on devs wake up and realize not everyone is a whale. Let's goooo 🎉❤
The game has not yet arrived a point where you can't play at all without spending. Hard grinding remains a solid way for f2p players to gain a certain ground and level of satisfaction. I've seen many brilliant f2p players quit not because of not being competitive enough but because of bordem - they knew how to hard grind to get to the top and once they were there they got bored.
Here's an idea for a video that builds on this topic: look at the meta characters for each game mode, and count how many of them are seasonal/paywall/NT2. It's almost all of them.
In my opinion Ghost Rider got the best upgrade with his new uniform making his with Mighty CTP Rage a monster especially with the ignore attack. Famer Thanos also is a PVE nightmare with the same CTP even thought I hate the famer Thanos look.

In my opinion, seasonal uniforms blueprint should be like the Halloween black bolt & Morgan Le Fay one. A strong native-t1 T4 crystal uniform and a less popular support money uniform. No more Rogue-Coulson & Luna-mysterio.
The grind to build toons has just become a repetitive chore. Let alone having strong toons locked off with seasonal unis or being deluxe pack toons. 2023/4 now has me at a point of being close to uninstalling. I'm only VIP 8 with 8 years playing. But the fun just isn't there now.
I was thinking this exactly when Rogue's seasonal dropped. Outside of a very exceptions, the majority of actual good uniforms all required greater investments.

You should also factor the cost increase per year to keep up with the uniforms. Most of their decisions is centered around maximizing revenue, if they force it on a NT2, or a premium bio selector then you have to buy or use special resources. If you do a recap of '22 vs '23 we could see how "useful" some of these uniform really are. The problem at this point is maybe 1-2 uniforms every 3 months are of value, everything else can be ignored, or gets replaced by poor planning, and people end up just getting the seasonals, and waiting for the 50% off discount to pick them up instead.
All i know is , paywall, crystal wall and native T2,T3 unis/T4 skills better be always good. I have given up hope on the other characters. It doesn't matter anyways, i don't have T4 materials to T4 every character, so i focus on those 8 T4s a year.
Well technically when you pay 30 bucks you probably do expect that that uni/character will be better than the free to play option. But I definitely don't agree with this as this has to be discouraging free to play players to actually play the game.
Miles is a savage in gbr. But alot of the toons people say are crap are just good in game modes they don't find interesting or play. The mode I think that gets the most out of your roster besides shadow land is ac. Spiderman 2099 is a solid ac toon and underrated same sabertooth. Sister grim valuable there to because of the passive debuff removal pairs well with adam wong lead or magic in place of adam. If toons only hold abx abl and wbl and gbr value than uniforms that dont help those modes I guess are worthless.
I hate that the new uniforms that they create for the characters are called “reworks”. Why dont they just actually rework the character, make the older uniforms more viable for today’s version of the game. We have favorite characters and some favorite uniforms that we may prefer over others but they are almost a decade old. I find it dumb that we all have to get whats meta in order to fully enjoy the game.

Miles. Spider-Gwen. Gamora. Those stood out. Sister Grimm and Brother Voodoo stand out and the same update we got Man-Thing of course but? Well how often to even use them shy of taking a level out of Shadowland? But nice job on them at least. I thought about it during my morning session. I felt like I farmed today, mostly to completing the set task list. Including the stupid text based Valentines thing. Mostly just click the clear and screw around with something else while I waited. A couple plays in World Boss manually of course but with my characters that takes a couple seconds. And, the thing I bash them for a lot, no "Wow!". There's no moment of being really impressed. Feeling the hype of playing a game in those moments. More just completing a routine like one does when they do the dishes and takes the trash out to the curb. My other is their advertising which is so lacking it's amazing but that's a different subject and only effects the player in effecting potential quality of the game. But the lack of "Wow" is really the gist of what you are getting at here. And often enough point out you consider that you are "waiting for the Wow" all the while considering too that you may be just dreaming and that ship will never come in. I'm giving it until Deadpool 3. I came back to it fresh just to so what changed and I wanted to do an experiment and see if this game can be completed without spending a real world dime and if so how. And I have finished that. To me then Deadpool 3 is the big cross-promotion event for them and pretty much everything Marvel. I think then you will know for sure whether they are really invested in doing this or if the dev team as well is just going through their own routines.
They should release a normal synergy uniform along with the Seasonal uniform. Just make it a bit weaker/not include a buff or two so that all players at least have a chance to upgrade the character to some extent.
I can only make a guess here. Maybe they realized, that people are spending their money for seasonal uniforms, when they are for beloved characters. So, if we stop spending money for it, they would stop doing it. Maybe.
Its always a delicate balance with these seasonal unis. Last year with all the speed females there were choices at least. Yes Luna was paywall, but at least with gamora and spider gwen, you had f2p options. But that won't always be the case. And another issue is that after at least 2 years, seasonal unis should be at a reduced cost, especially when a character gets a new uni that replaces the previous. Tell me how it makes sense that gwenpools xmas uni is still full cost and her april fools uni already took over it, and after 3 years now?
They need to increase daily crystals, I remember that being one of the key demands of the community when 1750 seasonal uniforms became standard and everyone just somewhat slowly accepted that they won't increase it. With multiple deluxe packs and so many uniforms required to climb WBL and teamup collections, they must increase the daily crystals. And yes, they made seasonal uni slightly better than the rest for higher sales. Anyone would otherwise we would see videos saying that its not worth the price.
I'm thankful to mff for helping me curb my spending. If it wasnt for all the seasonals and b.s. I would have spent my usual $100-$200 in 2023. Good lookin out!
The only reworks that weren’t ultra expensive and were actually decent were Loki, Captain Marvel, BP, Miles, and Sharon. Were more or less decent but not nearly as good as the paywall or Native T2 characters. But and they didn’t happen nearly as often as terrible uniforms or Native T2/Paywall.
I don't necessarily hate the strategy, for example, they used for the speed class. If you have to pay full crystal cost or 20 bucks for Luna/Rogue, you'd want them to be better than the ftp version. Of it's not like spidergwen and Gamora aren't usable, they are just weaker than Luna. I think that's how it should be. I think everyone would be just as mad if paying full cost or money resulted in a non-meta character.
Imo, Seasonal uniforms should be atleast farmable, like everyyear we save the 10 to 15 tokens, then by next year we can buy a seasonal for free, especially for chars that are no longer meta like the silk uni, gwenpool.

The most memorable thing to me in MFF 2023 is spiderman T4,Everything in Across The Spiderverse Update+Midmonth Update(Wolverine T4),Red Goblin and TimeLine Survival V2(I like the dialogue writing)

The thing I have learned with this game is, don't ever take your suspicions lightly when it comes to money with these devs. I remember the first premium uniform and people said "oh it's just one uniform calm down"......now these are just the regular uniforms, I remember the first seasonal uniforms and people said "oh it's just a one time thing so it's not bad.....now we are getting them for nearly every holiday" Once you start seeing a pattern for things in this game when it comes to making them more money then just get ready for it to become the norm because the mega whales don't care and will just buy and then the rest of us have to deal with it.
I stopped playing Galaxy of Heroes because that game quickly became a pay-to-win type of game. If you didn't spend money, you were a minimum of 9 months behind on pretty much every aspect of the game. That's why I loved Future Fight, if you didn't spend money you were around a month of grinding to be able to catch up to the people who do spend money. But I'm starting to notice that gap increasing more and more. It's concerning because I do actually enjoy this game and I don't mind investing my time and sometimes my money, but if it's gonna start costing more money just to be able to do a single mission, then it's probably time for me to move on form the game.
It’s this combined with them getting greedier in general, the content lacking, T4’s existing making new T3’s and Transcended way less exciting (usually skippable), and upgrades feeling minuscule all are the reasons the game has been nose diving into a mountain.
Of course they milk players for native t2 t4, because they couldn't do that last year, when t4s were only native t1 characters. It's kinda sad, but there were years, where a lot of native t2 got their t3 aswell

I feel like the biggest problem with this game is the fact that unless you have Jean grey with a select other few characters which are also locked behind huge crystal paywalls, you are rendered absolutely worthless in pvp. Pvp shouldn’t be restricted to 3-5 characters. Not to mention 99% of the characters are useless without a uniform, which are also expensive with crystals. Makes this game almost impossible for F2P casual players

My optimism towards this game often leads to comment section rage. And I don't enjoy using the "could be worse" style, win-by-default mentality. However, I do play other games as old as MFF. Their current content is so watered down, there are unaddressed visual bugs, the devs forget to turn on characters for events, etc. So, when it comes to MFF, all it needs is a facelift to get back on track. Updates to material acquisition, a restructuring of PvP and reward based motivation, etc. I have no tolerance for the "just burn it down" mentality. Those are the same people who suggest Disney end the MCU instead of consider new creative teams and just refocus on the entire franchise. There's a political filter holding things back right now. But it's temporary. .

Dude you are not overreacting, it's a bloody fact. The best uniforms are the seasonal uni's, it seems it was planned well before hand and we all fell for it. If this is the path they want to take, producing bang average unis then watch the game die a slow or quick death. Without players the game dies and MFF treats its players like trash especially over the last 18mths. As there aren't that many M-SheU projects this year, we will find out if we are being taken for fools, and the last update/epic quest was average at best. I believe it's time for the player base to respond and let them know enough is enough. We all invest our time and money to play the game, which keeps the devs in work. And, the thing I bash them for a lot, no "Wow!". There's no moment of being really impressed. Feeling the hype of playing a game in those moments. More just completing a routine like one does when they do the dishes and takes the trash out to the curb. My other is their advertising which is so lacking it's amazing but that's a different subject and only effects the player in effecting potential quality of the game.
But the lack of "Wow" is really the gist of what you are getting at here. And often enough point out you consider that you are "waiting for the Wow" all the while considering too that you may be just dreaming and that ship will never come in. I'm giving it until Deadpool 3. I came back to it fresh just to so what changed and I wanted to do an experiment and see if this game can be completed without spending a real world dime and if so how. And I have finished that. To me then Deadpool 3 is the big cross-promotion event for them and pretty much everything Marvel. I think then you will know for sure whether they are really invested in doing this or if the dev team as well is just going through their own routines.
They should release a normal synergy uniform along with the Seasonal uniform. Just make it a bit weaker/not include a buff or two so that all players at least have a chance to upgrade the character to some extent.
I can only make a guess here. Maybe they realized, that people are spending their money for seasonal uniforms, when they are for beloved characters. So, if we stop spending money for it, they would stop doing it. Maybe.
Its always a delicate balance with these seasonal unis. Last year with all the speed females there were choices at least. Yes Luna was paywall, but at least with gamora and spider gwen, you had f2p options. But that won't always be the case. And another issue is that after at least 2 years, seasonal unis should be at a reduced cost, especially when a character gets a new uni that replaces the previous. Tell me how it makes sense that gwenpools xmas uni is still full cost and her april fools uni already took over it, and after 3 years now?
They need to increase daily crystals, I remember that being one of the key demands of the community when 1750 seasonal uniforms became standard and everyone just somewhat slowly accepted that they won't increase it. With multiple deluxe packs and so many uniforms required to climb WBL and teamup collections, they must increase the daily crystals.
And yes, they made seasonal uni slightly better than the rest for higher sales. Anyone would otherwise we would see videos saying that its not worth the price.

I'm still really happy with gwen, miles, black panther, and captain marvel. I really liked Mantis's too - she's still oddly good
The only reworks that weren’t ultra expensive and were actually decent were Loki, Captain Marvel, BP, Miles, and Sharon. Were more or less decent but not nearly as good as the paywall or Native T2 characters. But and they didn’t happen nearly as often as terrible uniforms or Native T2/Paywall.

I don't necessarily hate the strategy, for example, they used for the speed class. If you have to pay full crystal cost or 20 bucks for Luna/Rogue, you'd want them to be better than the ftp version. Of it's not like spidergwen and Gamora aren't usable, they are just weaker than Luna. I think that's how it should be. I think everyone would be just as mad if paying full cost or money resulted in a non-meta character.
Imo, Seasonal uniforms should be atleast farmable, like everyyear we save the 10 to 15 tokens, then by next year we can buy a seasonal for free, especially for chars that are no longer meta like the silk uni, gwenpool.

The thing I have learned with this game is, don't ever take your suspicions lightly when it comes to money with these devs.
I remember the first premium uniform and people said "oh it's just one uniform calm down"......now these are just the regular uniforms, I remember the first seasonal uniforms and people said "oh it's just a one time thing so it's not bad.....now we are getting them for nearly every holiday"
Once you start seeing a pattern for things in this game when it comes to making them more money then just get ready for it to become the norm because the mega whales don't care and will just buy and then the rest of us have to deal with it.
I stopped playing Galaxy of Heroes because that game quickly became a pay-to-win type of game. If you didn't spend money, you were a minimum of 9 months behind on pretty much every aspect of the game. That's why I loved Future Fight, if you didn't spend money you were around a month of grinding to be able to catch up to the people who do spend money. But I'm starting to notice that gap increasing more and more. It's concerning because I do actually enjoy this game and I don't mind investing my time and sometimes my money, but if it's gonna start costing more money just to be able to do a single mission, then it's probably time for me to move on form the game.
It’s this combined with them getting greedier in general, the content lacking, T4’s existing making new T3’s and Transcended way less exciting (usually skippable), and upgrades feeling minuscule all are the reasons the game has been nose diving into a mountain.
Of course they milk players for native t2 t4, because they couldn't do that last year, when t4s were only native t1 characters. It's kinda sad, but there were years, where a lot of native t2 got their t3 aswell

Seriously though, as a returning player this fucking sucks. You build all these tier 3s only to see that their latest unis are all either season or paywall. Gutwrenching. They take f2p fan favorite chars and just slap a seasonal uni on them. They just lock us f2p 's out man
This game in my opinion is brutally pay to win. I realized this after switching to 7DS. That game gives out a lot of rewards. It is a lot more generous with its players.

I feel like the biggest problem with this game is the fact that unless you have Jean grey with a select other few characters which are also locked behind huge crystal paywalls, you are rendered absolutely worthless in pvp. Pvp shouldn’t be restricted to 3-5 characters. Not to mention 99% of the characters are useless without a uniform, which are also expensive with crystals.

Left when they first introduced T4. This game is one of the most P2W game ever.
My optimism towards this game often leads to comment section rage. And I don't enjoy using the "could be worse" style, win-by-default mentality. However, I do play other games as old as MFF. Their current content is so watered down, there are unaddressed visual bugs, the devs forget to turn on characters for events, etc.
So, when it comes to MFF, all it needs is a facelift to get back on track. Updates to material acquisition, a restructuring of PvP and reward based motivation, etc. I have no tolerance for the "just burn it down" mentality. Those are the same people who suggest Disney end the MCU instead of consider new creative teams and just refocus on the entire franchise. There's a political filter holding things back right now. But it's temporary. .
So yea. Eventually everyone is going to have a PayPal "seasonal" uniform to be relevant ...that's really shitty netmarble....

As there aren't that many M-SheU projects this year, we will find out if we are being taken for fools, and the last update/epic quest was average at best.
I believe it's time for the player base to respond and let them know enough is enough.
We all invest our time and money to play the game, which keeps the devs in work. It's about time these idiots repay our faith, time and money.
