Couldn't help but think of Conan baking as a metaphor to growing up... As you add ingredients to the bowl, the brownie becomes more complete (and a lot yummier). Same with us! As we grow up and experience more of life, we are meeting new people, learning new things, and adding more to ourselves, creating more of a rich and meaningful person. In other words, be a brownie, folks. AND remember... no brownie is the same.

Loved the vid but... I have this friend called anxiety and she doesn't let me get those great vibes from the future or what it holds. I live in constant fear, fear of the future, fear of growing up, and fear of life itself. How can you sleep in peace not knowing if you're gonna have money and stability in the future? What happens then? What will it take for you to get there? Will you be happy? I wish everyone could be like you but thats not the reality? Although I am working on this stuff, its not dumb to me this fear, although it seem like it to a lot of people... and Im happy that you don't have this fear and that you are so excited and bubbly towards life. Thats what got me into you. Xx đ

I currently have the same, but what helps me is mindfullness. Live in the moment; not the future or the past.
Cho Zodia Yeah that's what I tell myself, that I am allowed to enjoy the beauty of the present even though I don't know what's going to happen in the future.
I am currently trying to let go of my worries about the future too. It is scary, but what we need to do is live in the present. Be aware of what you can do now and focus on that. This quote was presented to me through my mindfulness class, I hope it helps you as much as it helped me: "What surprises me most is âManâ, because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. i love growing up too. i cant wait for my career to flourish, to explore the world and buy my first apartment. i cant wait to marry the love of my life and have many, many cats together. i had a terrible childhood and had little control, so the idea of growing up has always given me hope that i could finally make decisions for myself. and i have, ive grown so much and im finally happy. and i cant wait for this to continue.
i dont really know how i feel about growing up. I'm so busy with school that i feel like im wasting my youth and i just wanna make sure i live every moment but time flies. at the same time i cant wait to get out there, explore life, learn things & meet new people

I think the issue people have with growing up is some people don't like the pressure that comes from responsibilities you wouldn't generally have to deal with as a child, so not the fear of growing as a person but not liking the added pressures that comes with growing into adulthood and leaving the security of childhood
Gaby Garcia i think so too! i always notice people with more stable/safe childhoods are usually the most intense about The Fear bc it's like getting out of a comfort zone for them

I am terrified of growing up! I'm scared of the responsibilities; i am worried that i won't like the person i become in the future.
But on the other hand, i feel like am wasting my life going school. Everything that i am doing is for the future but i justs want to do something for right now, you know, like in the moment. I want to worry about the future when it gets there.

I cannot believe how far he has come
Vegan answer! I personally can't stomach an egg anymore (like the smell and just knowing it's a chicken's period just grosses me out). Even though the chicken is being ethically raised my reason for not eating milk, eggs and meat etc is for health reasons and because I don't think it's essential to eat other animals' products. But someone who is vegan solely for ethical reasons may be comfortable with eating your neighbor's chicken's eggs! It's up to the person. I really don't like going by these labels- like just do what makes u happy ya know. Anyways this is really long lol. Yeah! I literally do not care what others eat. Why should I judge their choices when I don't know their situation? I can only control my eating choices and as long as I know im doing what's best and what feels good for my body, that's what I'll continue to do :)

I think of 'growing up' just as you do! I feel like i'm constantly building up myself and learning life lessons while I grow up and I'm totally into that. I love change and if I think about how I was a few years ago, it's a shock. It's really different from who I am right now. My environment changes a LOT in my life because of my parents. But i'm not mad about it, i feel like it's a good thing! with positivity! One thing I LOVE about you and your channel is the positivity. Keep doing what you do Conan! Love you
Personally, I find fear in growing up to originate from the fear of losing a part of oneself in the midst of potential changes. While the prospects of being involved in new circumstances evoke great excitement, feelings of nostalgia simultaneously make reverting appear to be the choice that allows an individual to remain authentic to an established personality. However, this anxiety can typically be alleviated by pushing past these reservations and pushing myself to engage in activities that will make me grow up. In the end, I feel the evolution of myself is always better than a previous state. I am interested to hear other peoples thoughts on this matter.
Marmalade Pres I agree. Our personalities aren't meant to be stagnate. We are constantly adapting to our surroundings, influenced by those around us. if we didn't progress, I fear we would lose any sense of the purpose or identity that 'established' who we were in the first place.

i think i'm just afraid of no longer being happy in my situation. this may be just due to society but i don't want to feel like "ugh i hate wearing the clothes that people my age are supposed to wear" when i'm in my 40's or something. i feel like i wont be satisfied with who i am when i'm older, i feel like somehow aging might affect me being able to be who i want to be.

Honestly I'm 22 and I like growing up. You definitely learn a lot and grow and do exciting things you probably thought you'd never do. It's fun! And wisdom is a very powerful thing.
I remember watching his CZcams in 2016 when I was 8 years old and didn't have an account. Watching this exact video on my moms computer at 2 in the morning eating a whole carten of ice cream. I watched him grow and I oddly feel like a proud mother. He made it guys. He made it.

i think why i'm sometimes afraid of growing up is because i hate the thought of going out of school and losing my friends. I hate to think that we may lose contact and never be seeing each other again. But also i'd love to grow up and try new things, get a job, a house, and maybe a family someday! I think i'm just scared of loosing what I have rn. (also excuse my english)

I want to grow up, but the whole uncertainty of it is overwhelming.
Plus the next two years for me are going to be so stressful and lots of hard work.
But at the same time I want to have more privileges that come with being an adult; driving independently, voting (sorta scary though), drinking if I end up wanting to, being able to foster puppies (some rescues you have to be 18), or volunteer at the RSPCA as a photographer, etc.
And I do dream about having a house, more pets, children, travelling, going to university etc.
But it's this rapidly approaching, little in-between period that I'm nervous of...

I relate to this so much. I felt just like you when I was eleven and twelve - I was so scared of being a teenager and also had a new baby sister around that time. I'm sixteen now and it's amazing. Even though I have more downs now than before, I also have more/bigger ups. Even though I miss the good times I had when I was younger, I'm glad that I'm not stuck as a kid forever. I still enjoy growing up, experiencing new things and new aspects of life. And the good stuff you have in your life now doesn't have to disappear. Sure eventually you need to be more independent and responsible but that has fun bonuses too. I'm super nostalgic as well, but you have to remember that it's hard to let go of good times in your life, because you enjoyed them so much, and you're lucky to feel that way! new fun experiences are yet to comeâ€ïž

i'm honestly so petrified of growing up, and i'm constantly anxious and afraid of change. i also procrastinate a lot so i never feel productive and my main issue is that i'm afraid of time slipping by too quickly and not living a full life, i feel like i'm wasting my time here. even when i wanna make positive change, i get scared and don't. i hope i can start seeing life way you do, it's encouraging to think you don't have to be some serious adult, i don't want to loose my whimsical, creative youth đ«

that perspective that you put on growing up really enlightened me like i never looked at in a way of positivity like you are growing to be a better person or the better self you can be. i always saw it as a negative thing being taught that when you grow up you lose creativity you lose your innocence you lose you sense of fun and like you become an adult that is grumpy and hates everything that's what i always have been scared of to lose sight of that but your perspective is interesting and i like it a lot
Eggs are only fertilised when there is a rooster, so if you have chickens but no roosts then they won't be fertilised. My sister is a vegan and said if we had chickens and looked after them well, she would be totally fine with eating them. It's just when you look up the cruel conditions of chickens and how they live, that's why they don't eat them.
Yeah, we have chickens too, we feed them regularly and watch them well enough, they have their own home with places to sleep, but they keep hiding the eggs đ sometimes we find them, sometimes we don't, but the thing is that they don't even them themselves, they're just greedy chickens đ
Hey! I'm a vegan :) glad you asked about this. I wouldn't take the egg of a chicken even if they lived next door because veganism at its core is about not taking things from animals because we can't get their consent (although the torture aspect is relevant too ofc). So I would not eat eggs from my neighbour's chickens as it isn't mine to take. Lots of love đ xoxoxoxox

the way you worded that little segment about how growing up isn't necessarily losing youth- that was mind-blowing. I'm in the same situation, going to graduate highschool, off to 6 years of college, excited for change... but before all this, I would always cry myself to sleep thinking my childhood was fading, reminiscing about those old memories with my parents... but the way you put it in this video really opened my eyes and put those emotions at ease. VEGAN đ I wouldn't eat it because a chicken will naturally just eat an unfertalised egg to regain the nutrients it lost, and also because of health, since there is a very high amount of cholesterol in eggs. hope this helps xx
Maia Brown is there any other way that their nutrients can be replenished without the egg? I'm a vegan as well so I don't eat animal products, but I'm just curious
The cholesterol in food does not directly translate to the cholesterol humans have in their bodies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
