Deckboats can look a little station wagon-like, but you're definitely not going to lose any style points with the Sea Ray 260 Sundeck. Good looks are only part of the program, however; this boat is all about providing maximum ergonomically correct space for up to 12 people. Often imitated but seldom duplicated are the bowrider recliners, and with armrests on either side, you'll be lookin' like Lincoln at his memorial. If you manage to fill up all the storage on this boat, you may have some hoarding issues. Up front, both bowrider seat bottoms lift up from fore to aft and are held up by twin dams for easy loading, and the starboard seatback flips up for access to the captain's console. There's more storage in the cockpit L-lounge and a lockable in-deck compartment. A four-step bow ladder and an extra-wide, flat forward boarding area make it easy to explore your own private beach.

How would this boat handle on Lake Erie in three- four footers? Safe, or stay out of that chop?
